I remember listening to WTF in 2010 not long after he started it. I like listening to standup comedians talk and that's about the only people he had on his show the first few years. He started a podcast in his garage at a little house he bought in a barrio in LA after getting divorced. He was basically at the end of the road. He thought his career was over. He talked about how he'd been seriously considering suicide. Now the guy has a TV show and the freaking President Of The United States Of America comes to his garage in his little house to be on his podcast. Unbelievable . Good for Maron.

It's pretty cool how comedians who use podcasts as a tool to get their name out in the public eye. Some of the bigger named comedians have even said they no longer do morning radio to advertise that nights or that weekends shows. It's starting to change the landscape of comedy. Putting the power in the hands of the comedians instead of promoters and comedy store owners. On a small scale. But who knows what the near future holds.

Does anyone else listen to most/all of the back collection of a podcast if they particularly enjoy it?

Over the last month or so I've listened to about 400 episodes between
My Brother, My Brother and Me (a Comedy "advice" podcast by Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy) - 250+ eps
Sawbones (medical history podcast by Justin, and his wife Sydnee, who is a medical doctor) - 90+ eps
The Adventure Zone (a dungeons and dragons podcast by the McElroy brothers and their Father)
And a couple of other podcasts by Travis...

I've also done similar binge-listens to quite a few podcasts when I discover something that's been going for a few years so has 100+ episodes available...

I often listen to podcasts while playing games, so some podcast themes remind me of certain games now

The reality check reminds me of Skate 2, the atheist experience reminds me of Borderlands, Astronomy Cast reminds me of assassins creed 2

Any good sites to stream a conspiracy cast or comedy?

I don't know how into politics FC users are, but most of the podcasts I favor are political or at least approach news and politics from a non-establishment, leftist POV: Democracy Now!, Intercepted, and Chapo Trap House are a few of my favorites.
