...I'm sorry if I missed it, but how does this relate to what I'm asking about? I clicked on the link, and it brought up another post on this forum, but it doesn't say anything about what I asked about in the message of mine that you quoted.

I would love to hear more about it, or point me in the right direction to get the part you were intending me to look at.
I think Vitolo was just showing that he finds it easy to hold and manipulate. I thought he might have linked to a different post of his describing how he uses the pocket of the SSV bag to hold the whip.

I do not use the pocket, but the bag itself, and set the hose in coiled. That is shown in video as well..

You asked a couple of questions:
what do you do with it when you set it down, between draws?
I do what you see above.
Also, where and how do you store it between sessions .......
.......but it would melt the desk and anything else I can think of to set it on.
What do you guys do?
I store it as you see above.
I was addressing both of those points by directing you to a post with a video.... that shows both concepts

Not sure where to look for this kind of thing (searched, but no-go), so...

With the SSV (and I suppose other vaporizers that have a tube with glass wand and mouthpiece), what do you do with it when you set it down, between draws?

When I get close to the end of a pull I disconnect the wand (I have the hands-free GonG wand) and stir the herb up and then connect it again. With the amount I pack I can keep the wand connected when I'm not pulling and there will be only very minimal heat reaching the herb. If I don't do this then I'll usually wrap the tube and lay the wand end on the temp dial, but often times I don't see a need to ever set it down and would rather keep it connected

Also, where and how do you store it between sessions (understanding that, with some, need/usage is high enough to warrant never 'putting it away')?

I have a very sharp nose and don't like the lingering scent of weed in my condo and I've found the SSV's whip to be quite stinky (in a good way!). I'll coil up the whip and store it in a box with my other SSV accessories, that mitigates smell considerably and keeps the wand out of reach of my meaty paws (I already broke a wand due to clumsiness) until I need it.

Where I have my ssv, you would never smell the whip, lol. Its in a grow room. I lay the whip in a circle around the ssv and I overlap the hot end of the whip over the mouthpiece end. So the hot part stays suspended not touching anything.

I turn it on the first thing in the morning, and it stays on until late night. A lot of the time during the day, it's just 2-3 hits, and I'm off doing something.

I picked up a kind ash tray. It's a ash tray for glass but works perfect for vapes and abv. There are places to store my wpa on it too. Like the one shown, it has a rubber bumper to know the abv out. Love it.

I used to be a heavy pot smoker (several bowls every day) and would smoke indoors a lot of the time. The lingering smell used to be sweet. Since my palette has adjusted any kind smoke smell is pretty unattractive and I can even pick up on the faint smell of vapor and it's residue.

In other news, I got better fitting screens for the wand (maybe oversized) and now performance is very similar to what I'm used to from 7th floor vapes!

Great info, Vitolo!

And so sorry to hear that you had your vape collection taken from you. I'd be lost without mine, but glad to see your back at it, in style, no less!

I recently picked up the oil kit, and am really enjoying it. I can't quite find out the perfect temperature to leave it at. I find that I put a little bit in the dash and when finished inhaling its still smoking out the top, so I replace the little teardrop to keep the vapor inside. Anyone have advice on using this kit?

Your rheo/pot sounds finished.

You can contact 7th floor for warranty/repair if you wish.

If you feel comfortable opening up the unit to change the rheo - you will also need to be comfortable soldering/desoldering to a PCB.

I can do that. Thanks.

Ended up ordering one of the seconds and a oil kit. Pretty excited since this is my first herb/oil vaporizer, hit a friend's vapor bros 10+ years ago and just been combusting since. Figured since I'll be keeping this at home for solo sessions and won't be showing it off I'd save the money plus get the warranty and get a blemished one. Was kinda wondering how scratched up do these generally come? Do some of them come with chunks chipped off?

Also was wondering if I could just use the included pick to dab with? For the last few months I've just been using a rda for e-cigs but the coil isn't hot when I put the dab on so I just use whatever metal object I have lying around but with the oil kit and ti cup I just want to make sure when I use really sticky oil it's safe to use the pick or if I should get ti picks/tools.

Couple more questions, I've read back of bunch of pages in this thread and saw some people recommending the VB wand and domed screens. Is that wand that much better for efficiency than the standard wand plus domed screens, I'm definitely gonna pick up some of those screens but if it's not much of a difference I'd like to save that money and skip the wand.

When ordering a kit from 7th floor do they always come with screens? And since I ordered the oil kit with the SSV will they send two whips?

Sorry for all the questions, like I said just excited to be getting my first very own thc vape and want to make it enjoyable, safe and efficient as possible.

Sorry, I can't answer any of your questions, lol. I bought a ssv used, and it has a ground glass wand, and I don't have the oil kit. So honestly I can't help you, wel other than welcome you to this thread and your new ssv. I've been very impressed with my ssv. It hits very hard and is fairly simple in design. I'm sure you will be happy with it, and hopefully others will chime in with more specific help. Happy surfing!

Haven't seen one myself, but they just have an oops! somewhere. Don't think you'll get one that fell down stairs or anything.

I wouldn't bother. 7th Floor wands are fine.

Yes. If you need more, they're a bargain on eBay. Just do a search for stainless steel pipe screens.
And since I ordered the oil kit with the SSV will they send two whips?
I don't know, but if I had to guess I'd say no.

Thanks, according to tracking it should be delivered sometime tomorrow so I guess I'll be able to answer most of my own questions then.

What about the pick that comes with it? Is that stainless steel and ok to use as a dab tool?

Got my blemished unit in yesterday and it looks new to me. Did notice a couple things, I got a GG heater cover and wand, shouldn't the SSV come with a standard connection? Also I got the wrong heater cover for the oil kit, it looks like it's for the dbv since the hole on top isn't offset, the glass topper has no chance of staying on.

Otherwise I love the build of the thing and it was a great buy, just hope they'll replace the heater covers.

My buddy just ordered a blemished as well and his order came jacked up too!

No bag, no mouth piece, and the unit would not even heat up...believe me, we tried and tried.
Luckily 7th floor CS was good to him and told him to send it back and they would take care of their fuck up. Good job guys! Someone needs to be reprimanded though for shipping that unit out....how does that happen anyway? dont let your employees use the products while at work. :p

While there was a time when they had actual "blemished" bags, they have corrected the cause in production... and no longer have bags with imperfections.
They used to sell blemished bags for a very low cost.
They also, not by arrangement... but as a hidden perc, would send out a blemished bag with a blemished unit.
This is no longer the case.
The last blemished units I bought all came without bags.
I spoke with "management" and I now understand what and why on this.....
Blemished units are still a good deal, and a bag would have to cost extra.
I have ordered bags with blemished units also, when the recipient required one.
