Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

@THC SCIENTIFIC could make this with little effort, all he needs to do is increase the length of the center pin in the AC base and the Herc parts will thread onto it nicely. I asked him about it a few pages back but didn't get a response.

Remember, his interest is in selling the 8 and Persei, so there is little incentive for him to make his devices work on 3rd party 510 devices.

Why not just buy the 601 to 510 adapter from planetvape? Then you can use any 601 cart on a 510 mod.

Purchased the AC when it came out, but have not used it. I plan to use on my omicron lite (Persei is too conspicuous) in the public. With my previous kiss globes or carts, I did a short 1-2 second pulse to see if it is working before applying my concentrate on the dark ceramic core. With the AC, should I do the same thing? Or can I pulse it longer because of the larger, stronger ti coils?

Edit: I heard someone mentioning that pulsing longer (on a new AC), that he was burning off anything that may have been on the coils during manufacturing. Or is there a cleaning process during manufacturing?

I have not been using the 3.7v donut AC cart much because it seems to splatter a lot. I just tried it again with a freshly cleaned Centauri top and same thing. I think more oil is on the glass than on the donut! Any tricks to loading it or anything I'm missing here?

I am still trying to totally understand the SR74x. Any comments welcome.

The ceramic heater has channel along its complete length. When mounted if you hold the chamber up to the light you can see right through. I assume this means when the oil get too runny it runs down this channel into the reclaim chamber bellow. I had always assumed the overflow happened through the 3 breather holes in the bottom of the chamber.

I would like to clean the ceramic heater. I have tried soaking in ISO, heating it dry and I have tried the gentle application of heat from a blow torch (a mini one) but it stays black.
Is this normal?
Is there a way to get it white again?

The gold spring loaded connector in the bottom chamber.
Are there 2 parts?
Should I be able to separate the outside from the spring loaded pin?

Aside from having to clean it a bit every couple of days I am still loving it! I have not changed or cleaned the Ti coil since I first loaded it and it still tastes great.
How often do you completely clean out the coil?

Hey man, I havnt tried yet but I heard that the acetone in nail polish remover will work to remove inorganic black residue and iso to remove the organic oil. It works on my carb cap, good luck.

@DieHard you sent me a pm about the Kiss AC Globe? I'm waiting on them, so all I can do is wait.

@masaki i know you keep asking but I keep saying the same thing, we are working with our glass blower and it needs time, so you have to wait a bit. It's a little bit difficult since the Kiss AC will need some obscure size and we are locating something for it.

@ragnorokk no matter how much we try, LHS's are only interested in the easy sell, what this means they dont want to educate the people, most dont even know what they are selling. No amount of promotional material or training for the LHS will help if they are not willing to learn. WE have many LHS owners who took the time with us and learned all about our products these are the ones that dont stock anything other then our products because they understand it is a superior product. In fact the reason they only stock our products is because they stopped complaining about quality when they switched over and are happier now because their customer base is happier.

When you have people buying anything without doing research this is what you get.

Look at our new Kiss Alpha Coils more Titanium wraps compared to the original Kiss carts and a heavy hitter, combine that with our black ceramic and no solder or glue philosophy and you have one superior product.

But

what happens?

People are fooled with such claims as Titanium Core. ( titanium grade 5 to be exact ) These are the same people who will not even touch a Grade 5 nail but will use it in a pen.

Then you have the people that follow brands because they like to pretend they are healthy. Really? People on here talk about i want a healthy cart, yet run to the Titanium grade 5 carts, and titanium mixed with nichrome.

You got companies that dont give a fuck about you or anyone here and yet many people flock to them like sheep.

In other words they are not being held accountable to what they are claiming and many sheep are buying the bs.

IE Titanium Grades 1-4 cant be welded to non resistance wire.

You see any cartridge claiming to be Ti Grade 4 and has weld marks then that is total bs. Yet no one cares.

In other words we cant fix stupid on any platform. We can only say our peace and try to educate people. Any LHS that takes the time to explain our products over any of the competitors and 90% of the time ends up selling our products and having a happier customer.

Very well put!
Well all I know is Ima try to educate and get every LHS I visit on the w9 tech team!

I have the exact same problem, I end up using the 1701 the most for solids like crumble or live resin, as its hard to work with on the other coils, honestly all the coils I used tended to have a large splash amount!

Also I think a bend in the globe mouthpiece would be a much needed improvement since it would allow you to see your extracts more easily. Also I dislike how each globe's sizes and dimensions vary so widely, it shows in the fit of my globe. I fixed the airflow issue by flipping the Teflon peice upside down, the air holes line up with the inner holes much better now and it works well enough!

That was probably me, because I'm pretty vocal about my hate for the taste of fresh Ti gear. I never got a proper time limit to dry running the coil, but it's a relatively common procedure for a brand new coil. G2 Ti is finicky, and the wire in the old style coils is very thin. Its fragile and is just aching to break, so G told me to run it for about 0.5sec pulses with cooldown inbetween, until the smell went away (again, this is standard procedure for most wire coil carts on the market). He also said to pulse my KISS carts about that long when they're loaded. I've sort of extrapolated that however long it takes to reach vapor point normally is a good burn off (repeat until you like what you smell/see), which for the AC varies depending on the coil and the power supply used. For example, @ 3.7v the dual coil will take longer to burn off than @ 7.4v, and the single coil will reach heat a bit faster @ the same voltages than its dual coil counterpart.

I've been using my herc with 601/510 adapter for almost 2 years now. It's just an aesthetic thing with the adapter increasing the overall length and also doesn't sit flush with the mod. Using the AC base is much prettier, that's all.

So the ac base will run the herc? I don't have any 601 batteries to see if the coils are 601 thread otherwise I'd test it out. If this is the case a may pick up a herc in the near future.

Here's one of my Hercs with a 601/510 tower adapter and a custom cone for aesthetics (BEC Pro has ego fitting installed):

i recently did something similar to what @Nube Scrutator did (bought an ego skirt and filed it down to size, wrapped electrical tape round the adapter to fit snuggly within the inner diameter of the skirt), and i have to say it does more than make it look better; it makes the connection much sturdier. i've split the threads on the herc bottom adapter before and my current one was starting to split, and now that i've fixed up the ego skirt, no problems. it feels way stronger, not to mention looks much better. highly recommend a fix like this to anyone who uses the herc on a 510 mod.

I just noticed my alpha centuari(dual coil, 3.7v) is making a faint rattle sound when the button is pressed, is this normal?

Skeena,
I thought I didn't like the kiss AC 3.7v 1701 w/ the wick because it splashed oil everywhere. Turns out I like it just fine, but I need to turn the voltage down using the Core. On a fully charged battery, I was getting too much splash, but 3.7/3.8 using the core gave me steady vapor with little to no splashing. Just using my older HVD unit for the first test; I'll try my Persei top to make sure that it operates the same, but thought those experiencing major splash from the donut should try a lower voltage if they have not already experimented.

ragnorokk,
I notice 510 thread are available :)

The coils appear to sit very low in the skillet, are they sunk deeper than the AC coils?
