Discontinued The Grasshopper

Yes, something like that. I would like to see one with a closed top, rounded, and have the magnet inside so it completely covers the button and holds securely in place. There is also the possibility to make the cap into a dual purpose accessory and it could turn into a scoop or hide a small amount of herb or something......

Yes the magnet is in the charger but there may also be one in the on/off/temp assembly as well because I feel a little magnetic pull when I unscrew the dial and change the batteries. Metal would work but it needs to be insulated because the metal cannot connect the button to the dial part or it can potentially turn the unit on....I thought someone mentioned they tried connecting the two metal parts of the GH together with a quarter and it turned the unit on, a few pages back

Here are a few picks of the Pack-N-Stash funnel. It holds securely in place so you can just put your herb on the funnel and slowly shovel it in and see whats going on to get the perfect fill with no mess. I would still like to see a scoop though and I am trying to make one but so far, the funnel works great.

Thanks for the pics! That looks like a really good fit. My only concern is the hot metal coming in contact with the plastic funnel when it's hot. Does the metal on the GH ever get hot enough to melt the plastic? I guess you could just wait a bit for it to cool.

Not in my experience. I usually hit it and wait a second to hit it again, allowing it to cool a bit. I have not turned the unit on and left it on but I really think that even on the highest temp. it wouldn't melt plastic. The insulation is pretty good and the heater isn't like traditional ovens or conduction vapes that get super hot, this heater is designed to heat the air so I think that makes the GH much cooler to the touch.

So has anybody yet posted a video of a grasshopper being hit through a glass rig? Like an actual final grasshopper owned by an actual customer connected to an actual bubbler clearly showing it fill up with vapor?

If not, can somebody with a GH please do this ASAP. Seeing is believing! :D

That I can do and I will try to do that by tonight or at least have a picture of it in action.
im looking forward to seeing how well the pack n stash lines up with the hopper for filling the hopper @Just Justin . it looks like the perfect filling and storage container for the hopper when youre on the go. the funnel looks cool, and im sure works well, but i dont see myself carrying that thing around with me normally.

if i can just pop the cap off, push the herbs in the hopper, then pop the cap back on, thats perfect. dont even have to get my hands dirty, straight from the container to the bowl.

and its cheap, airtight. perfect for me.

if im at home its a completely different story. but on my 15 minute break at work, the quicker and easier the better.

EDIT: just want to clarify, im talking about using the pack n stash for quick on the go situations.

didnt i originally say that a few posts ago? using it when youre on the go? man, you guys are rough sometimes...

I was just suggesting an alternative. Not meant to offend.

Anyone know a thing or two about titanium? I'm tempted to get another unit but I'm hesitant on the colored models until I know more about scratch resistance...If the coating does indeed scratch easily it'll be quite visible (compared to unanodized/unfinished Ti)

The other concern is the colored ones may look *too* pretty. As in like, people would be more tempted to pick it up and look at it... :p

That's a pretty strong endorsement ... thank you sir may I have another hehe ... So I guess you're liking the Grasshooper huh? Nice!

if its not on the same page, people will easily forget about the specifics of the post... or the whole thing, heck even if its on the same page lol.

but I can see the convenience in being out and about and wanting to just pop the herb in real quick with no mess or effort

I have a couple of the smallest of the measuring spoons up above. They work great loading my Indica vaporizer. FCer Ratchett made a loading tool for the Indica eventually. Another way could be to fold a small piece of paper, put the herb on the paper and feed it into the GH that way, acting like a funnel. Give @Ratchett time after he gets his unit. He will make something that will work.

What's the word on battery life with this Hopper?
I have been getting 20-30 good tips, about 4 full chambers per battery but I am still doing more testing to confirm this. I used a temperature about in the middle and clicked on and off for every hit. You could expect to get more or less battery life depending on your method and temperature

This, plus a user-replaceable battery, I'm golden

Sadly, it uses a proprietary battery, which would be annoying enough coming from a company which has a history and can be safely assumed to be around several years from now.

Still, if the price stays where it is I'll be interested once more reviews come in and they have their production sorted out.

Too much banter - not enough content. I know more people have them now, start talkin! ;)

I've spoken to 3 different people privately on Reddit that just got their hoppers (but don't want to post for whatever reasons!). If you're here and reading this thread, make an FC account and post for everyone else!

I've been busy lately, but thought I'd share some new shots, with the charger and case.

As I've mentioned - I'm not feeling their official leather sleeve/case. While it does a decent job I wish it was longer in length. I'm using an alternate case that happens to fit very well (see album for more)

Seriously sign up and join the conversation! Don't be afraid!

Look at this websites statistics and at any given moment you'll find 3x as many anonymous guests (lurkers) as registered members on this forum. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many more Grasshoppers "in the wild" than we realize.

(I totally understand lurkers - completely justified on a site like this. Sucks that so many of us live in fear of being discovered as consumers of a perfectly natural healthy herb!)

@midgetsanchez I'm liking the look of the GH next to the P7s! Like peas in a pod.

Agree that case looks short. Maybe it could work for tucking the GH in a briefcase pocket where the top is still showing but the bottom is protected. Guess I'll need to wait for my own to find out.
