Use it inverted with water lol. I use mine 99.9% of the time with water basically for that reason plus others.

What you could do but it might be a pain in the ass, is to grab an extra flat screen an place that on the herb. So there is a screen on each side of the herb, one fixed in place with Ed's clip and the other loose. I've done this a couple times to prevent direct contact with the heater and it's a bit cleaner too.

Other than that your guess is as good as mine

Appreciate the advice. I am just toying with the idea of using the Dog standing with a whip running to my UFO and out another whip to make it easier to use the dog through water when my girlfriend and I are on the couch with the vape and bubbler off to the side. It works perfectly well inverted, but I just like to change it up on occasion.

Nothing wrong with some experimenting :science:

Huge thanks to Ed for knocking this out the park!! This stem is gorgeous brother. Greatly appreciate the work you did on it for me!!

Its going to the woods with me for a few days starting tomorrow. So ill have a chance to really use it a bunch and get a solid feel for everything, but all first impressions are wonderful!!

First things first, it fits great. Even when the unit is cool it slides in. And doesnt wobble when the unit is hot. Great stuff so far!!

No air restrictions, which is excellent as well!! And the stem stays cool up top. I ran it 10 minutes on green, then 10 minutes on red. At this point the SS was very hot. Obviously. But still, the wood was not uncomfortable in any way.

There is a slight wood flavor as i expected, not much different than you'd observe with a new wood pipe. Its kind of pleasant actually. I wouldnt be surprised if this faded fairly quickly as vapor resin fills the pores of the wood though. But maybe not??

Excellent craftsmanship. Top notch customer service....

And now for what everyone really wants to see....

Just got my bog wood stem for the arizer air. First impressions are great! Beautiful piece of wood that has some serious history to it. That alone makes it worth the money!

I noticed it slides in rather easy, maybe easier than my stock stem which is different than many reviews I read but I'm wondering if that's from people using solo wooden stems in the air which are slightly different in size?

The hits are nice! The airflow is great and clouds are nice even on the lowest blue setting.

The taste is somewhat earthy. Very woodsy, but nice. Hard to explain. It's one of those things you just have to try for yourself. You still taste your herb but it's given a nice earthiness with this piece.

Overall, awesome investment. The price is slightly higher than some you'll find online, but the quality is worth it. The craftsmanship is top notch and its extremely durable. Definitely worth a shot of you've been considering picking one up for yourself!

Great work, ed! Glad I decided to pick this one up. Highly impressed.

I'm sure I'll need new screens for it. What's the best place to go ahead and pick up some of those?

Hello and good afternoon, wow would you lookout at all this action here and posts, very nice!!! Ok so its been a busy last few days on my end, been busy in the shop, had my youngest at the dr friday, found out he has strep, not cool especially now that its allstars practice, he missed his practice thursday and today but feels ok for the most part, cant get him out due to being contagious, but not to let it get him down, after the dr visit we worked for 4 hours on a special project for his mom, she saw this neat wooden shelf kinda thing on FB that someone had built to take up space behind their sectional, she asked me what I thought and could I do it, I gave it a look and said sure why not seems easy enough, so got the wood and started working on it. Had my oldest in the shop turning a Vase for the next person on his list while me and his brother were working on the shelf. My youngest is 6 and does have the strep he has been running an on and off fever at about 100 for the last couple days but for the most part he feels ok, matter of fact the wife said he had the 100 temp this morning and I texted him and asked how he was doing and he responds " Super good dad, even lost another tooth" and sent a pic, now both his two front top teeth are missing with a third on the bottom, its heckofa sight, I just got the biggest grin and love him so. But anyhow he was out in the shop with me picking up boards helping hold them as I chopped them on the saw, he was grabbing screws, clamping the boards together for a tight fit, always getting this and that, what a helper he is. After my oldest finished the vase, the three of us went to staining it, my oldest and I brushed the stain on and my youngest wiped it off. The freaking Mississippi heat had us all sweating our butts off but we made it happen. My middle boy was off hanging with his cousins just having summer time fun so he didnt get in on it. The next day we popped in some outlets cause the shelf would have covered the ones she has in the wall, she never expected it to have them installed so was neat to surprise her with that option. So I had both the oldest and youngest the next day helping me with the electrical, I was showing my oldest how to strip the wire, which wire goes to what side of the plug and how to curl the wire to wrap around the screw on the side, he was having a great time til it came to the twisting the curl in the end of the wire, he just couldnt get that right but kept trying, he said daddy, " I dont think I want to be an electrician" I was like say what, thats where the money is son and doing this simple job can save you alot of money just knowing how to do this for yourself. All in all what a great time we had! This is the shelf, only thing I hate I didnt do right or what I should have looked at was the dang wood filler, I got white plastic filler which doesnt take stain well and really shows in the pic, not so bad in person but looks like hell in this pic

My oldest said dad why didnt you just get one wide board to go all the way across the top? I told him whats cool about that, 3 different boards with varying grains and stained is where its at, he thought for a sec and said "You're right dad", lol!

Check it out this is the vase he just made for @beach bum

Its red cedar and is 6"L, very nice piece, he just loves the smell, he kept having to give it a smell and made sure to show his mom and also told her, mom you have to smell it!

I got to say thanks for all the Lily stem purchases to all yall that picked one up so soon, thats the best and I so look forward to what you all think and your feedback, I anxiously await and all those ordered will ship out Monday!

@NickDlow You are always on time brother with well said advice, you do your thing and keep it up bro! I dont know if you are quite ready for the temps we hitting down this way, for the last few days its been in the low 90's with a humid heat index of over 100, freaking makes it hard to do anything outside and sucks when you have to unless there is a pool involved. Oh and speaking of a pool, had to get one for Major a few weeks back and havent posted a pic of him in a while so here ya go, remember he is just now 7 months old

@little maggie Hello there I hope you are doing well and yes @steama is correct I am pretty sure, I dont have a Daisey so wouldnt know but if he says no then I am pretty sure he would know, by the way thanks for answering that my man, I appreciate you. I got your PM and answered back, thanks for the offer and I will see what I can do for ya! I have added you to the vase list, will send you a pic of the available wood species soon enough when your name comes up, hopefully in the next couple weeks or so.

@CarolKing Wow what a nice pic, I really dig it and enjoyed making that piece for you even though it took me some time to do with delay after delay, you hung in there with me and never once sweated me, thank you! Yes we talked a bit about the tubing and I figured that the herbie whip would be best due to its size and flexibility, seems to have worked out really well for you. Also remember that the mouthpiece is turned to 14mm so you can use it with a water tool as another option! I am really glad you like it and thanks for the opportunity to do it for you!

@WoodVillain Glad you like that whip rig, it really gives another way to enjoy the solo! Really like your feedback about the stem, all is what I want to hear and most of all your enjoyment of it! Yes you are right its going to have a somewhat woody earthy flavor at first but once you have run several loads through it that will fade. LOL on the video bro and so like the pics, those are well done! You get ready for the UD stem just give me a holla! Hope you had fun camping and look to hear more about how the Air worked out for you with that stem after several days use, thanks for posting up!

@virtualpurple Glad you like the rig as well, I hope @NickDlow advice has helped you some, for me I just do as I normally do with my material, give it a finger grind and draw into the bowl like a straw not quite filling it all the way, then with my finger or maybe a small rounded object pack it slightly, I just kinda hover over the heat port never leaving it on top on the nano, works well for me this method but am sure you can find a better way for yourself is mine doesnt work for you or Nicks. Thanks for the kind words also, I have been down long enough with one matter or another to where I am at a point that I cant allow myself to get buried as I have been. I am working hard on balancing work time and time with my boys, right now time with my boys takes precedent and work will come one job at a time after that. Just holla at me when you feel it and we will go from there, I am always happy to do anything I can for you brother!

@Deano There ya go bro, more positive findings and all I want to hear, well said my man, I am so glad you are happy with it and hope you enjoy it for a long time to come! As far as screens go they are just simple 1/2" SS that you can pick up anywhere really, I get them from one of my distributors and are generally fine mesh, I hear alot of customers say they really like them for the fine mess they have. Not sure what you will be able to find but surely with a little looking around you can find some similar. If ya cant just give me a holla and Ill fix you up!

@FlyingLow Yeah thats buckeye burl, worked out really well for that piece! I got your PM and did reply, just give me a shout with your thoughts and we will go from there as always! I hope your move is going well and look to hear from you again soon!

Alright yall, bout to go see my kids for a bit, think they wanna give me my fathers day gifts early, their mom says they have been itching to do so, I cant wait to see them and see what they thought I needed, and most of all get some hugs and smiles!

I love hearing your stories with your family. Isn't it the cutest when the kids 2 top teeth are out, it's just precious. They have a hard time eating for a little while. These are really the golden years with your boys, wonderful memories that you are making, a real hands on dad. You have very lucky boys.

Yes the whip set up is great and I have been using it a lot. The tubing does absorb the smell of our fav plant but I guess a wash with some alcohol maybe in order. Here lately I've been using it exclusively with my Solo. A fabulous addition to my vaporizing accessories. Always love getting the wood pieces. Have a great weekend. Rest up a bit too - take some down time and relax my friend.

Thanks Ed for the wonderful whip set up for my Solo. It gives me another way to enjoy everybody's fav portable. It makes it easy to read a book and easily take a draw. I've been trying it out all evening. I'm going to need to go to bed. I took this pic.

This is the blood wood and an herbalizer whip. It works better than I even expected, just awesome.
That is so cool. I want one. Maybe Ed will add that to his product list.

Also-does the Lily stem work with water?

Well we had to cut the trip a day early due to bad thunderstorms. But we got one great night in so im still happy.

The earthy flavor did indeed start to fade after a few loads, its still just barely there, and im sure it will fully fade after a few more loads... But now im kind of hoping it sticks around for a while LOL The stem is awesome brother. Works great and is just beautiful to look at. Thanks again!!

I snapped a couple pictures in my natural habitat with a few bush buddies. They all played together great and no tempers soared, which is rare, normally when i introduce wood to steel things get messy :haw:

Hello and good morning everyone and happy fathers day to all yall fathers out there! My boys did me a solid yesterday, they got me a new grill and my 11 year old put it together all by himself, wow was he proud of himself as was I! I dont know bout yall but I am a charcoal kinda guy, yeah gas is good but it aint charcoal, sorry Hank Hill, lol! I have been letting my 11 year old do alot of cooking round this house when he wants, let him cook on the grill several times, burgers and steaks, he has gotten pretty good about it and is eager to do so, just told me he is so excited to do the grilling today, I was like hey dad doesnt cook on fathers day, he tells me no problem dad, I got this! So its burgers, hog sausage, baked beans, mac and cheese, and a pie! Now I just gotta run to the store for a couple last minute things as well as the pie!

@CarolKing Good morning and thank you so much for the kind words, you got me wearing a smile! Really glad you like the whip rig, thats a neat setup you have and again was fun to make! I wish you a great weekend also!

@little maggie Glad you like the rig also, my product list is growing and growing one piece at a time, I am not sure if the whip rig will, havent had a whole lot of interest in it but it is a neat way to utilize the Solo and other units if the case may be. Who knows, do know if you would like one of your own I can do! The Lily stem set does not work with a water tool yet, I am going to have to give that idea some thought, it has been asked of me and may come about in the future. I hope all is well for you today!

@WoodVillain Very nice my man, the pic in front of the fire is the best, love it man! Nice pic below also, yeah I can see how those blades have gotten some work in, really dig the smaller one, thats more my style. I have a old heavy long blade machete with a solid just as heavy handle, makes cutting really easy. Glad you got a day in out there and had a good time, hope you are having a good day also, thanks for the pics!

@beach bum Oh I cant thank yall enough, the smiles you have made for my son and I are so worth it! I appreciate you thinking of my youngest, he has been fever free all night for the most part and is working on a cough this morning, he usually does that when he starts to shake it off, gotta get the crud out I suppose. All is well and is going to be a great day, yes we will talk soon, cant wait to hear what you think of the vase and what I made special for ya! Hope yall are chilling sitting back sipping margaritas!

@stickstones Thank you, as are you and same to you! Enjoy your day as will I!

@NickDlow Ohh I gotta know you do bro! Hey am sure you have seen these before, if not you got to have a look, these are so well made and I am almost about to get one, freaking dish washer went out last week so thats comes first, not a bad price either!

This piece is zebrawood, oh I have been calling and asking about custom work as you know I have that private stash, these guys wont do custom, I know thatd be your first thought, lol!

@Snappo Gosh my oldest was working on your piece, havent gotten a confirmation from 3rd on the list, 4th on the list had a hidden crack in his species selection that wouldnt work out so you were next yesterday. We cut out your block, had it turned for the lost part, it had larger knots in the center that didnt exactly want to cooperate, that and the wood seemed to be kinda wet, gotta get with the seller and check the description, he had an hour in it and then it just went to crap, oh he was really let down. I put a hand on is shoulder and told him thats how turning goes, you dont ever get your hopes up and dont ever dwell on it, takes whats left and off to the bone yard it goes without a second thought, it just aint worth it! I am opening him his very own savings account tomorrow, gotta start putting back the cash for that Hummer he wants! Maybe Ill put back some cash of my own to spot for some phat rims with alot of bling!

Wish you all fathers a great day again, hope you all spend some great times with them and your kids, wish mine was still here...

Haha that thing is crazy. If I wore watches I might have jumped on it but I can't stand the feeling of watches and bracelets or even a necklace for that matter. Something about the feeling of being restricted or idk lol. But it does look cool.

Over in the wood appreciation thread or what ever it's called someone posted a BurlMobile. Now that I could see myself in.(too lazy to link lol:zzz:)

I'm glad to see your boys getting their hands dirty. I'm sure you and your son were beaming just looking at that grill. I gotta say I'm a charcoal man myself there's just something about it.

Anyway Ed I hope you and all the other fathers are enjoying your day, vape one for me(away from the lil ones haha)

Im also not a jewelry person. I have a metal allergy that keeps me from wearing cheaper stuff... And more expensive stuff is pretty much out of reach.

But those watches... Beautiful!! I had to check the site out, surprised how well they are priced for what you get. Very cool stuff!!

And Thanks Ed. Really into blades myself. Been collecting and using for years. Im also certified to compete in BladeSport competitions, Trained and certified by the 3 time world champion, but i dont get to the competitions often. They are too spread out across the country. But i do love cutting with good blades!!

More on topic :D Looks like the UD team has received the blank from Snappo and will start on the dog soon, and they said they could send any extra to you for the stem, so shouldnt be too long now!!

I think its so cool how 1 vape setup can be a direct result from so many awesome people from 1 community.

And happy Father's day to all the dads!!

Warms my heart whenever you talk about your boys, Ed. Ive seen far too many uninvolved/terrible parents (and I'm not even that old!). My old man also taught me the family business, though due to health issues I can't pursue it. At the time I didn't quite have the fun your boys do, but looking back I'm so glad I learned it and that we spent time together. Hope you have a good day

You are going to love the vase. I've gotten several compliments on it already.

I've decided that all the women I buy presents for at Christmas will be getting one of them. :)

hey guys received a blackwood stem that is gorgeous. Initially it was smaller than I thought but it has definitely grown on me. I have two questions though

1.How do you take out the inner locking clip thing? I pushed mine all the way down and when I think I should have left one end up. (I tried getting either end up and am scared to break it. Wouldn't mind puncturing the screen if that works.) Also how durable are these stems I feel they are durable I just don't want to test my luck
2. Is it bad for a stem to make sounds when cooling down. Its like a snapping sound very weird.

Also Ed was very timely and had great service.
