What is ***YOUR*** best Vape?

Frederick McGuire

Aggressively Loungey
Hey guys,

I'm curious as to what everyone's "ideal" setup is.

We all know there is no 1 "best" vape.
So this isn't about being the "best".
It's about being the most suited to what you want it to do...

My vision for replies to this thread is something like this:

Vape: Sublimator - (Whatever vape you want to mention)
Category: Desktop Heavy Hitter - (Literally any category you want - it can be as simple as "heavy hitter" or as niche as "Portable powered by solar cells with an all glass air path exclusively for use with hydratubes". I'd rather know what vape is perfect for your specific circumstances, than what vapes generally fit the most niches...
Comments: yadda yadda yadda why I like the sub - specifically why it is my "ideal" vape for this category

I would encourage members to post multiple "ideal" Setups - eg:
Cloud EVO - All Glass Desktop
LSV - Budget Vape for Water Pipe Use
Arizer Air - Portable

MFLB - Stealth Portable
Underdog - 24/7 Vape
Lotus - Flame Powered
Mini-Vap - Portable/Desktop Hybrid

Anyways, I'll start with a couple of my setups:
Vape: Sublimator XLR 2.0
Category: Desktop, Water-Pipe, Heavy 1-Hitter -
Comments: The Sub is the only vape I've used that truly can give 1-hit exraction to emulate a bong rip.
It hits hard, and that's exactly why I love it.
It certainly has its drawbacks, but function wise, it's my go-to desktop heavy hitter.

Vape: LSV
Category: Quick heat-up, Mobile, Desktop, Water-Pipe, Heavy Hitter
Comments: It doesn't hit quite as hard as the Sub, but it is so much more easily moved from room to room or packed up and taken to a friends place.
It is also up and ready to vape in 5 mins.

Do you have a "Desktop Water-Pipe, Heavy 1-Hitter" that you prefer?
Add up your own :)
Maybe you prefer portables that let you sip?
Throw that up then :)
I'm just as interested in the Categories that people end up with as the vapes they use to fill those categories :)

Vape: Vaponic
Category: Portable, Butan, Session Vape
Comments: My to go dry vape. I think the Air intake holes after vape production makes it really smooth.
Not that heavy hitting but it's nice to sip from it. For bigger its you can close one airintake hole with ur finger.

Vape: E-Nano
Category: Desktop, Log
Comments: Love it with a watertool and using a hot setting to vape my chamber in two hits.

First the flavor, then the buZzz settles in....
Vape: E-Nano
Catergory: Desktop, log vape
Comments: It doesnt occupy much space, smaller than a Coca Cola can, but for its size this thing is a beast. I use it with a water tool, D020-D, then its smooth, tasty, cloudy vapors.

Update: had it for about 8 months and I just used the glass stem today.... I must say that I am really amazed now.

vape: MFLB

category: Stealth vape

comments: Love my Solo. If I were to design a vape from scratch it would have been almost exactly like the Solo.

Vape: Hammer
Category: Portable, All-in-One Butane Based Power Tool
Comments: It's been a master at everything I've thrown at it; bags, convection (intended mode), conduction, concentrates in both convection and conduction (dabs). Quick (one hit) Extractions, miniscule bowls, quick heat ups, isolated SS airpath. It IS the most versatile piece in my arsenal.
Also mates with UD accessories, highly suggest those pieces over the default Hammer lock-on stems (may require MFLB tubing).

Vape: Versa (Non-boost + Nippled Air Base)
Category: Desktop, Glass Medicator (Ceramic Heater)
Comments:
This thing medicates me so much more than the Hammer and UD while using even less herb but boasting a much much bigger chamber. It has immense airflow, doesn't seem to have any resistance at all. Once you reach the right voltage for your bowl placement you'll be able to extract the entire load in one hit without combustion and no need for boosting. My unit is capable of blowing bags, which is a nice feature. It is designed to connect to water pipes but I prefer it connected to the air base and using a whip to the water pipe or with direct draw. It is astonishing how well this thing works, I can have a long session on 80v, or finish it in one go on 60v.

Comments: I can do it all. Dry hits, in a bubbler, low temp, high temp, dabs, in my home, on my couch, at the beach, while waiting at the mechanic, literally everywhere; it's so inconspicuous! The best is the immediate punchy high it gives. Feels like I smoked. E-nano comes in close 2nd.

Vape: Daisy
Category: portable desktop, Jet Flame powered
Comments: huge clouds, great flavor, instant heat 100% convection my daily driver at home. Once mastered you would be amazed how efficient of a vaporizer this really is. The vapor to me seems much "fuller" than any other vaporizer I've used. I doubt if that makes any sense, as I am having trouble figuring out how to say it. It is a beauty, there's something very special about these vapes.
Best uses, to get medicated when you can have a sit and relax in or outdoors.

Vape: Lily
Category: portable- jet flame powered
Comments: huge clouds, great flavor, instant heat 100% convection smaller form factor than Daisy. Like how the heat periscope stores in body, though I rarely use that feature. My go to portable.
Best uses, get medicated on the go. Love it for the trail, if I'm on my quad or hiking, in the car, you get the idea.

Vape: Herbalizer
Category: desktop
Comments: Heat up time is virtually eliminated, bags & whip both are nice depending on what I need. Easy to use and precise temp control are great features. The flavor is good as long as you keep the tubing clean and the bags fresh.I like to use Herbie dry and with water. Easy transition. Never fails to impress my friends or myself for that matter. You can have a extended low temp~ high temp session or blast through starting with a higher temp in just a few pulls.
Best uses get medicated solo or with friends On the couch watching movies, walking around with a bag full of vapor forgetting why you got up in the first place.

Vape: E nano
Category: desktop
Comments: once the heat up is complete, it is ready when you are. The flavor is very good. The conservation factor is also huge with this vape and one of the main reasons I mention it. Easy to use wet or dry .
I'm not going to go through them all but as of today those are my top four.

I suppose if you wanted to boil it down to bare bones, speed & efficiency would be the theme. :tup:

Here are three I enjoy using at the moment. I'd include the VXH Cloud which was my favourite, I went through two of those in 16 months but now I have none so there's no point & it's been superseded anyway.

Vape: Evo
Category: Desktop Heavy 3 hit extraction.
Comments: Personally I didn't enjoy hydratubes with the Cloud but they seem to work better with the Evo. I use this with a DLX stamped double shower-head, mostly because it's the only hydratube I have left. I also enjoy it with the stereo matrix from Dhgate, that paired really well with the Cloud but with the Evo it takes a little priming & some heavier lung work. For me it seems to pair better with smaller volume pieces & less diffusion. I've only had this a few weeks but it sees the most use. I get strong vapour from the Evo but not quite as dense & smelly as the Cloud.

Vape: E-Nano.
Category: Leave on budget Mini Desktop.
Comments: This is the only vape I own at the moment that extracts bubble with chokingly big hits. It's also my daytime no stir one hitter for flowers. It's not very powerful but that tiny ceramic element somehow quickly whitewalls my medium sized glass pieces. I get small thick hits with herb & huge hits with bubble. No auto shutoff is a big plus. I call it a budget desktop because $227 Aust with gongs made it the cheapest vape I've purchased bar clones.

Vape: Volcano.
Category: Heavy hitting nasty desktop bag Vape.
Comments: Say whatever you want about this thing but sometimes it's all about the end result. I don't use it often but when I can't be bothered doing anything & I just want to get wrecked super quickly I use the Volcano. I don't use it with water, I have but I don't. For me bags aren't as enjoyable as using water filtration but I don't find them any harsher. No heavy sucking to get a big hit can be handy if you've been to the dentist or you get punched in the mouth a lot. I like how heating time is less than 5 minutes, no auto shutoff & combustion is impossible. I'll go two thick bags on high dump it & it's the only AVB I keep. Also this is the only one that gives me that nice next morning vape hangover.

Interesting seeing what everyone here is using, some I've never even considered sound great.

Doesnt take any special skills.
Can be left on 24/7 so its always ready to go.
Load the stem and take a hit, no waiting required.
Comes with a lot of different stems to personalize your experience.
All are one of a kind and beautiful.
AMAZING customer service. Seriously, its crazy good.

My favorites all do one thing well: deliver a few tasty, potent hits quickly (except for the Volcano, which obviously is a longer session). Alas, I get bored easily, so I hop around.
My more or less regular rotation, depending on mood, consists of:

Flowers
Lotus/wpa with a D020 W bubbler (with the mouthpiece on the side): 1-3 gob smacking hits in half a tiny bowl;
LSV/M2M, either dry with the SSV GG wand, or with the D020 D: the most versatile, with the broadest range, cool and wispy to very hot and bordering on black. The M2M makes it more frugal with herb;
HI or UD/VVPS with a D020 or D020 W bubbler: Maybe it's the aesthetics of the wood, but these are just a pleasure to use. Once the VVPS is dialed in, they produce consistently predictable results with very little material;
Cloud (plus, I think) with the D020 D: elegant, smooth vapor, and feels delicate;
SSV with the D020 W or whip: a monster no matter how you use it;
If I need one delicious hit really fast, the Firefly.
Volcano/Zephyr: on the rare occasions I break them out I wonder why I don't use them more often. Despite popular opinion, I think bags are pretty cool.

Concentrates:
Cera/EO: for me, there's nothing to match the flavor. Fingers crossed it lasts for a very long time;
Persei/Herc 74x: big chamber, nice flavor, cool tech.

Most flower portables are another story.

sorry for the long reply

What you said about the Volcano has actually changed my mind about it being just an expensive party vape. I mean...I aint buying it, but I want to try it!

I prefer dry directly from the whip, but Da Buddha pairs well with all water tools, no WPA needed (Hose fits any 14mm, and can be modified to fit 18mm with Teflon Tape.)
Awesome Vaporizer for a very fair price.
