All good again, wasn't heating to the max, is now!
Very strange but im happy
Actually it isn't all that strange.... I'm not sure how new you are to this forum but the Inhalators can't operate on the USB current alone....not enough there.....not sure on these numbers but I think it needs upwards of 800ma and the USB is rated at best 500ma.... therefore what you had happen there was likely do to the battery just at or near the "not enough" current to provide that extra 300ma...

This is why the manufacturer tell us we need to have a decent charge on the battery before using it...

Sometimes I'll notice the light sorta cycling bright to dim back to bright again..... other times it just fades away.....and like you said sometimes I'll even be getting a little heat..... just need a fresh battery or time on the charger..... 6-8 hour nap should do it....:peace:

 Glad she's right as rain again.....for you.....enjoy... and Happy Fathers Day....

Use a USB-AC block, like an iPhone charger block, plugged directly into wall AC. Still takes like 12 hours to fully charge, but you will get a full charge that way.

Ok our package came in a day early so I've been using my new INH06 for a couple of days even took it to the beach last night...... I know that may sound like a bunch but really I've only run 3 or 4 caps through so my preliminary review is as follows......... if we have an Clint Eastwood fans out there this is going to be a short review of..... The Good the Bad & the Ugly....

Now I think most folks here know by now that I am a huge fan of this vaporizer.... so I will start with the "UGLY" which is this "huge" ugly switch sticking up off the side of the body..... I was immediately taken back to those USB nightmares with epoxy all over what used to be nicely machined port openings.... it isn't IMO that bad I guess....but it did take me back.....
I was expecting it to be a nice flat bubble switch...so I'm sure the shock of seeing this metal bar that looks to be secured or held on by the sticker.... so evolutionary looking it's so NOT.....

Now the "BAD" is a bit shorter of a list I suppose... we can NO longer replace the batteries on the fly and whats up with this light business..... Yes they did change the while from a rectangle to a smaller circle but the damn thing is back to being as bright as my Beta unit is.... so they made the opening a small circle but then returned the brightness back to full on......

So now the "GOOD" this thing kicks ass {I can't wait for an "S" mod} it allows us such flexibility and involvement in creating our inhalations ourselves...... and the results are killer..... Smokers seem to like it so far the few that got to try it before it ran out of juice.... {not gonna last at parties}
So many different things to try to adjust or alter ones inhalation....so much fun to learn and play with as well.... in fact its early yet but I think at this point I'm almost willing to forgive the UGLY ass button design..... so I will dream of an "s" model with a slicker button design for now..... :peace:

I KNOW RIGHT..... I often forget about this...sorta take it for granted after awhile.....that is until a friend shows up with their PAX / PAX2 and I'm once again reminded how cool it is that I never have to dick around with that stirring gig.......

Ridiculous. The boost lever is very well thought out and build and very sturdy. My friend who has severe disabilities is very happy about the fact that he can operate it; which would not be the case with a small silicone push button. The Inhalater 6 is a true medical device in the sense that it supplies the purest possible medicine in the most convenient way. Details like too bright - too dim lighting is all but significant; using the unit is sunlight or in the dark makes it a average guess for the manufacturer.

The important fact is the type of medicine the technology can produce.. And there the inhalater 6 is in a class of it's own. Tell us how that compares with your other devices and it will make for valuable information to the user

@Old School The polyimide capsules are ideal to take advantage of the the pulse extraction.
Using the glass capsules with the boost button take away from it. It increases the thermal inertia and ends up overshooting the expected temperature as per the chart

Dude really.... coming at old school with such a lovely label as "Ridiculous" that seems a little heavy handed there don't you think..... I was told something and was NOT expecting to see all this "boost lever" business which in your opinion was "very well thought out" oh and "build very sturdy".... I didn't just buy 1 you know.... my GF also opened up her box and said the very same thing..... what the hell is this thing stuck on here..?

So I'm sorry if you find my opinion about the ugly boost lever "ridiculous"... I feel others will agree it is a gaudy after thought.... as for the brightness of the light.... again someone had stated that issue was fixed or at least improved...and that wasn't the case or at least with what I was sold.....

I wonder if others will notice the defensive inflection.... then followed by telling us all what the "important fact is" and what is that according to you.... is it better than other vaporizers....hmmmm

Well anyway.... I think old school will just go ahead and politely thank you for the lesson....

I wonder would this be a good tie to ask where or when we might be reading your review of the INH06.?

Let's stick to the facts. What is important here? The fact that this device is usable by quadriplegics trumps the importance of having a nice silicone looking button.

What do you say to that?

I was originally put of by the aesthetics of this unit but the performance has made it a daily driver for me. I personally am very anxious to hear the adavantages of the new turbo booster, what, when, how, why?!! :) i will be picking one up next month i think even though my 05s is hard to beat. Hey i do have 2 lungs for the 2 inh's!;)

This efficiency of the polyimide VS glass must be considered from the perspective of
transferring the heat to the substrate. Heating of the glass capsule will take 2X longer than
with polyimide. Where did all that heat go? Into the capsule. It is like incorporating a 30s lag
into the system and hoping to find the very precise thermal point for perfect vapors at that particular
time.

@killick inhalater 6 no doubt. I have not used my 5S since I got mine. It is the feeling of carving out the vapors that make this release so interesting IMO

My INH05 has broken :(

The conductors within the ribbon cable have snapped, not the polyimide ribbon, the conductors right along the fold that is made at the time of production. An obvious weakness which I pointed out to Greg in previous correspondence.

I contacted Pharmacor Technologies Inc. and to my surprise they refused to cover this problem under their warranty, eventually stating:-

b) defects caused by rough handling (including, without limitation, defects caused by sharp items, by prolonged exposure to the sun, by water damage, by BENDING, compressing or dropping, etc.)

I pointed out their Indiegogo campaign wording

"Battery swapping: Easily change your battery on the fly, never get caught unprepared"

I pointed to the battery swap instructional video on their website assuring them I had been as careful if not more than they were shown to be.
The response I got seemed to go against how they had portrayed the 'Interchangeable battery' in their promotion:-

"In conclusion "battery swap" is not recommended as you need to be very careful in doing the battery replacement (battery replacement should be done once every two tree years) As it takes lot more attention and dexterity than a simple swap of batteries which is possible only in an isolated battery access, you were putting too much repeated stress on the wiring (much more than what is sustainable and what the Inhalater was manufactured for) "

I believe their 'Interchangeable battery' advertising is misleading to customers, if somebody can point to where they state the battery is only to be removed every 2 to 3 years then please do?

When choosing which vape to spend over $300, on, being able to change batteries “On the fly” was one of the definite musts, now to be told all this and:-

"This warranty does not cover:

defects or damage caused by misuse of the Product, including use that is contrary to the instructions provided by Pharmacor Technologies"

How is following their instructional video “Contrary to the instructions…..” ????I personally think their 2 year warranty is well shady, it is more like an offer to get another 'upgraded' unit with a bit of discount :-

Hi,
I been told that in your case we already stood by our company's philosophy when it comes to customer satisfaction.
So why not Send both units...will send back one of the two in prefect working condition, of course with shipping back and forth as your sole responsibility...

Hello David
Torn cable is not repairable and not covered by the warranty.
We can get you a new units with a discount. What do you thinkÉ
Do you still have that spare running for you?
Greg

It's not torn it has a fracture, which could possibly have happened at the time of manufacture and has gotten worse with my 'ON THE FLY' battery changing. The cable is clearly not fit for purpose and Pharmacor under their own admission 'battery replacement should be done once every two tree years' are well aware of this. Perhaps this is why the 06 is being sold as non interchangeable battery. As for my 'spare running' it clicks off at setting 5. Hardly running.

Prior to this my other posts have been positive in what this unit has done for me. Nearly 8 months without tobacco. I sung the praises of my experience with their customer service when they replaced my first unit which developed the clicking off fault after one week of use and later when Edward Hyde was voicing his concerns about his warranty issues.

I now understand others frustrations with this company. I feel very let down. They know and have stated that 'shipping costs are a killer' so their offer of me sending both my broken units and them returning one good one at my cost and responsibility is a joke.

The best is to have the electronic do the timing. If ones needs to time the glass capsule inertia it will undoubtedly make it hard to repeat. On the other hand, the quick response of the polyimide give the possibility to throttle off just as it gets itchy on the throat; or to one preference.

That's a bummer, like you, my decision to choose the Inhalater over other vapes was heavily influenced by the "swap batteries on the fly" ability of the 05.
I plan to use mine at home, but swapping batteries would allow me and friends to spend an evening vaping without waiting hours for a recharge.
It's a shame that we're now learning that the warranty won't cover this use.
I guess that I'll have to make do with the built in battery :-(

I hope that Pharmacor revise their warranty policy to allow battery swaps, and sort you out properly.

Shipping may be a killer, but in the event of a faulty product I don't believe that customers should foot that bill!

One thing I have discovered on my inhalater 6 yesterday is the timing and the end of the boost. I usually set it at 6 and inhalate immediately when the light stops flashing. This will supply a very special kind of medication. But if the unit is set at 5 and I wait for say 5 seconds before inhalating it supplies a very different kind.

I would say one is aerial and the other earthly. Got to try it again

We need more testers here for the science.

Didn't realise that, so how do I charge properly?
I do charge overnight
Happy Father's Day to u also
The charging block that should have come with it is what you should use.... I too charge all of mine over night as well.... my average time 6-8 hrs depending on how drained they were of course....

I have noticed over time that sometimes they will not take a charge or they did but won't seem to turn the light off..... when either of these happen I remove power for several minutes then hit it again... on very rare occasions it might happen right away.... it is then that I personally open her up and look at the bottom of the battery and if I see that the plastic shin of the battery has been rubbing the circle connector then I will cut off the skin just at the very bottom..... manufacture suggested..... also a good idea to clean the base with an eraser..... but now with all this warranty business under question.... perhaps we go back to tapping and all that frustration when the connection isn't quite right....

THC your playing with the timing of the pulse extraction I'm assuming..... here is something you may want to give a try.....
start out fresh down around #3...go ahead and let that go solid.... Inhalation #1 count out 1 1000 to 5 1000 then INH#2 begin to bump that out to 10 1000 around INH#4 & 5.... I like to stay there until that run completes..... but of course if wanting a bit more just extend your count past 10 1000....
You can also play with when you begin your inhalation you keep the button depressed for say 3 1000 to 5 1000 then you release and continue the inhalation...... of course all of that can be played with....so ENJOY :peace:

Don't want to alarm you, i no longer use the charger sent with the unit after Greg sent me this in an e-mail

The UK USB charging block has led to 2 Inhalater reported failures. If you have one could you please put it in the bin?

G.

I did, no offer to send a new one out, i would have said leave it anyways, supporting small businesses and all that.

I don't think we should be advised to tap the unit when it costs $300, and the advise to take the battery out and back in again is not advisable if the company themselves are stating that this latter operation should only be done every 2 or 3 years!!

I bought a renowned battery charger so i did not have to leave my unit charging unattended, mainly due to the erratic nature of these types of batteries and what was happening on the older model concerning melting around the mini usb connection.

I think Inhalater should maybe concentrate on the faults with their previous unit rather than come on here trying to sell a new one. If it's got even more technology/designs to go wrong then how is this going to be any different to the previous when i'm on my 2nd unit, my mate's on his 2nd, there must be loads of others.

Just my 2 pennies worth :)

But I like it!
Interesting idea about the glass. On further reflection I'm wondering if the glass is actually heated, or if the heating happens before the glass, in which case the glass shouldn't really be an issue, no?

Any thoughts on using the boost button on a water tool? I'm just wondering if I'll be fat-fingering my way into a smaller glass collection...
