What types of oils have you enjoyed in the aromacups? I plan to toss an aromacup on the UD when I'm not using it and would love some good oil ideas. I've picked up some extra beeswax already because I was told that will help the contents solidify and not spill when they are not being heated.
I started with lemongrass, but then my wife went and bought lavender ,gardenia ,and orange. It's more personal preferencm...

@darkrom the minis run on 12v. My buckeye mini runs a little warm so I usually like it around 11.75 and my walnut mini runs a little cool so I run it a 12.5 or so. I've also used it in the car, but through a 60 amp power inverter, so I'm not sure how they work through the standard car adapter.

Edited to add: Sorry @darkrom i forgot to answer your question about time. 5 minutes or so, but I find if I wait 10 I typically get better results.

My morning is off to a great start today! I woke up and had an email from Underdogette. She sent me my first glimpse of my Ziricote UD. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome personally.

No comments on heating time for minis? I have to imagine they heat quicker.
When above 13v the heatup time is quicker, with my 15v I get 2 minute heatup and about 4 minutes I can go for oils.

But I did just heat it up with my 15v adapter and at 2 minutes I was getting good vapor with oils. At three it was even better and at 4 I know my herb will combust its so great for oils.

What voltage do the minis run at? Also how long do they take to heat up? I think its time for an underdog mini to live in my car if they will work with the car adapters.

They run on 12v power supplies like standard Dogs so realistically anywhere from 11.5v to 13v for most users. I can't say if one would make a good car Dog or not since that will depend a bit on your particular car electrical system unless you're running it with an inverter and the standard wall-wart instead of a car adapter. They do have much shorter lifespans than a normal Dog, not sure if or how that might affect whether it's a good choice for the car?

Hey @underdog

What is the feasibility of getting some porous ceramic material that just happens to fit inside the nong? It would turn a nong into a full convection concentrate vaporizer. It would more or less act like the Thermovape cera, the tastiest way to consume concentrates (RIP).

Feasibility of you getting ceramic material and doing that to a NonG or us getting the material and doing that to a NonG? If us then I'd say almost zero chance given how high I suspect the cost would be and my fairly strong dislike of ceramics.:worms:

Why do you dislike ceramics?

I'll have to see what kind of crazy oil contraptions I come up with in my spare time.
For oils, concentrates, tinctures, waxes, etc., why not just sandwich in a thin layer of herb, OR use hemp or natural cotton? Done properly, no fuss no muss, tastes great, works wonders;).

It's not that great when you want high temps, cotton and hemp create their own vapor and darken at those temps. I think they are also pretty harsh in comparison to ceramic.

I've been very satisfied using my Underdogs for oils, concentrates, etc., at about 13-13.5v on the VVPS. The cotton doesn't discolor at all or give trace residual vapor, and the concentrates evaporate completely leaving no drip mess whatsoever. I've said it before and I'll say it again ...the Underdog is not to be underestimated for power, performance, versatility, finesse, and beautiful looks!

What cotton are you using, I have rayon, hemp wick from sticks, and organic cotton all of which get darker over time but I am running hotter than you. How often do you replace your cotton wads?

Do you have other devices designed for oils for comparison. How many hits do you get from a pinhead sized dab.

Does the oil discolor your cotton?

Great Scott!
I've never tried the cotton. It just seems so sketchy to me haha. I believe its safe since everyone says it is, but how does cotton not get vaped or combust? I just can't picture using it that way.

@paytonpenn SO close to what I'm looking for. Basically the same thing but no hole and it would be perfect.

The other thing I was thinking of doing is ripping apart a mighty oil pad or a firefly oil pad, and stuffing the stainless steel into the underdog stem and using a stainless wick more or less.
