Just ordered mine today!

From my understanding based on what I've read, the liquid pad can be used to reduce the bowl size. Can anyone recommend a better or more effective way to reduce the size?

I'm coming from an Arizer Air where I put one of @Sinclue dome screens to cut the bowl to about 0.1-0.2 or so. I'm more of a quick hitter. Would putting a domed screen (dome facing up) on the bottom of the Mighty bowl mess things up?
Just put a screen on top of your load, no matter how much you pack it...works as good as liquid pad and you save some of the taste

Is the Mighty just like other vaporizers in the way that it comes with cleaning instructions but if you actually use it more than once a week you have to come up with your own cleaning method for the bits they don't mention?

NO! cleaning your cooling unit is so easy as instruction manual says. Just dismount your cooling unit soak it in iso (shake it) clean it to the cleanliness with q-tips and soak in water then let it air dry. The one thing which instruction manual says nothing about is herb chamber - but if you clean it while warm after session once a week you´ll never going to get something like this so you don´t need to come up
with your own cleaning methods. (picture from page 138.)

Just got some new AA dome some screens and decided to try in my Mighty. Reduce bowl size a hair, same, maybe better taste. I'm liking 180f right now. Thought I'd share.
Can you let me know where you got the dome screens? How'd they work for you?

I just load the amount I want, usually about a quarter to a third of the bowl, and just tamp it down using the included tool. Works perfectly every time with nothing flying around or going up into the cooling unit. No need for extra screens or the oil pad. Easy peasy lemon squeezy . . .

you are 100% right, it's flawless out of the box, even quarter filled and tamped, I think I just like to play with my toy :). I can't really get a "bad" session out of this beauty.

DOMED SCREENS ON EBAY

I used them top of dome up, but to make bowl even smaller, I guess you could try to flip it (top of down toward heat chamber). Let me know how you make out.
Thanks! I've been using the pad, which I don't love, but it's kept my cu remarkably clean. So I've been a little afraid to go without. But great info from t-dub and Bravesst. Thx to all!

the thing about the cleaning units, they are easy to clean (even though at first seems intimidating), and relatively cheap to get a few extra. I even use some of my old Crafty CU's sometimes, seems not to make much difference. Probably easier to clean because it's smaller, and cheaper to replace.

The cooling units on these might be the easiest thing I've ever cleaned..maybe a slight exaggeration for all the realists..but I literally take it off and separate into two pieces or three if ya wanna take mouthpiece off..which I don't and then u put in a small mason jar with iso and I literally leave it in there for 10 to 15 minutes, if that..and take out and rinse with warm water..and dry..it's always been perfectly clean like new with no need to even wipe with q tip or anything..and then u start to get that black is after a few washes and then get yourself some reclaim action going..

For those who like to do burn-off sessions out of the box for any brand new vape, how did you go about doing this for the Mighty? The 1 min auto shut off would be a problem for this. I'd rather not inhale anything crappy tasting just to bring the temp down to prevent the shut off.

Long time lurker here but just pulled the trigger on my mighty purchase.
I'm a very long time self medicator and recently made the move from combusting due to a sudden health scare. 6 weeks ago I was in hospital with a spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung) after a touch of surgery I was told that smoking was a no no. Well I took the plunge and went for the vaporizing. I spent the last month using a Vapium Summit (it was cheap and I wanted to test the water) well long story short, I have been lusting after a mighty after reading this topic and tonight my Summit went Kaputt. Massive overheat ,wouldn't turn off, black s!oke burning plastic. That seemed as much justification as any to go for something a bit better. I hope I've made the right move. I'm UK based so made my purchase through Vapefiend. Now just got to last through the weekend with moderate sobriety. Looking forward to my new purchase arri ing now. Wahoo!

The old hands will know this, but we have a lot of new mighty users lately.

So take a bud slightly bigger than your mighty bowl, and stuff it in. Locked and loaded, blast off. I like to start at 350F. The hits have more draw resistance because of you packing in the bud so tight, and it might take time between big hits, so start with a good charge and go slow. This is a roast, not a hot dog, so savor the experience. I can get a good dozen or more hits at 350f. Eventually bump up the temps finishing at 410F. Again don't rush it, or worry about clouds. Just be patient, and let the mighty guide you.

A session like this will take 2-3 bars of battery use, and eat up 30-40 minutes of your life, but I think its well worth it,. The glow lasts me 3+ hours.

OK, that's it, class dismissed, carry on......

I've tried this but I prefer to grind, I get consistently good hits and it cashes the bowl faster and I can use it for more sessions. With a whole nug it doesn't hit as well as grinded to me, and I feel like I have to watch how I draw to get a good hit. So that's why I like to grind.

The 1 min auto shut off would be a problem for this.

With the new software it's TWO minutes.

I'd rather not inhale anything crappy tasting just to bring the temp down to prevent the shut off.

press either the temp + or - every minute or so to prevent auto shut off... no drawing necessary!

@Mr. Me2 you can get a cheap ass pipe screen to place over your bowl, instead of the liquid pad. I find the liquid pad collects too much oils and over time hardens and affects flavor.

the pipe screen is thinner and therfore allows more vapor through. You can also change the stock cooling unit screen with the finer screen as other users have suggested.

I like the dome screen to reduce bowl size. But even if you just tamp in place, you can pack .1 and get a good session. The material just needs not to be loose in the oven. The pad works, the dome works, the bottlecap technique works, and just tamping works. All might change things up a bit (tastes, heat, draw), but tweak to your liking. This is one of the many ways you can do that.
