The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

So if i am correct this is probably the only thing i need to do is replace the stock screen in the cooling unit to extra fine when i get my Mighty? This is ok to do right it wont scratch anything? I very much want to keep mine pristine and plan to use the liquid pad on top of herbs as well to keep it extra clean.

Is there anything else? Like extra fine screens in the herb chamber? Or does nothing ever go through there? Thx
Thats what I'd rec, this guy shows you how to take the screen out but it's pretty easy task, won't scratch it or anything :)

I dont even use a liquid pad on top, nothing gets through, but I do pack full bowls. Liquid pad is a nice spacer if you need it, imo somewhat overkill with a full pack and the fine screen. My cooling unit is full of gunk....sticky gooey gunk with no bits of weed in it :p and I never use the pad except when using bho.

I believe so, at this point...not sure how much it affects funtionality

I assumed you replaced the O-Ring yourself. Are you using the unit without the O-Ring? What did S&B say about it?

I got my Mighty in today from Storz&Bickel. It's so AWESOME! No regrets. Soooooo spaced out. I tried Sativa Headband with it. Id like to say since I really saw no one comment on it,the Mighty really shines with Shatter!!! Pure Face Punching Power, ,,...
Gone!

Did you get one of the new units with the upgraded casing?

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS ON RETURNED MIGHTY...

:\

Seriously...I got back the SAME unit I sent in...

No upgraded thicker housing even though I was told I would get it...

Don't know what the software upgrade did...

But it seems some of the 'muscle' is gone!

With the software update, temps don't 'hover' like before and it buzzes every time as it should

But battery life seems significantly decreased, the same temps don't work as they did before (so I'm turning it higher to get results I did on lower temps)

I really liked my mighty better before...:rip::cry:

Anyone else experience this?

Welp it's my birthday right now

Happy birthday! What are you going to do about the mighty?

That sounds messed up mate, you even left out that they returned the unit without its O-Ring. Check in with S&B as there might be some kind of mix up. Let us know how you go.

So I ran two sessions on my new Mighty yesterday, S&B had the unit fully charged when it arrived so there was no need for delay! All I can say is wow am I glad I took the upgrade from the Crafty. The heat up time on the Mighty is insanely fast, I will time it tomorrow but it seemed to be around a minute. It also seems the Mighty is much better at detecting my draws because it didn't auto-off on me once even without me pushing buttons to keep it active. The display is really bright and crisp, gives the unit a very high quality look and I really like not having to use the app to keep up on current temp. It's actually not as large as I had expected from photos, I have fairly normal sized hands and find the unit comfortable to hold.

I'm already looking forward to the end of a work day that hasn't yet began, but I think the idea of some wax running through the Mighty this evening will keep me motivated!

I have found that older Mighty units heat up faster then new ones. I am not sure if this is a conditioning thing but the difference was very noticeable.

How can you identify an older vs newer Mighty? Fairly certain mine is the most recent version since it came directly from S&B on Monday. I never had a Mighty before this one so I can compare, only comparing based on heat up time from my Crafty which often exceeded 3 minutes just to get to around 360 degrees.

After upgrading from Crafty to Mighty i am experiencing the same thing.. my crafty was older unit and i vape at 190C getting huge clouds - after i get the newest mighty i changed my temp to 200C getting same results like with crafty on 190C - till today i thought that was just my feeling but now i agree with you that temps don´t work as they did before even i was using crafty instead of mighty. But i cant say that i am missing my crafty.

For the little I know, the temp represents the heating chamber temp, no the bowl temp. I would guess on the bigger unit, heat might dissapate away from the bowl a drop more and require the extra temp. Or maybe they are all just a bit different. I still can produce a lot of big, tasty, effective clouds, and ABV is perfect.

dimildarko - you can identify yours mighty ->on the quoted pictures below is the most recent version. i think if you got if directly from Storz-Bickel, you have newly designed case

Thanks @lapsda00

Yep S/N is above 16000 for sure. I can't imagine how fast the heat up time was before if these new units are considered slower, seems pretty damn quick to me.

I am referring to a unit that has been used for two months compared with a unit that is brand new.

There is post on Vaporents from last week where someone tested the internal oven temps on most major vapes. They included the Crafty and found it to be +/-5 degrees celsius. They said they would test the Mighty this week.

S&B advertise the units as being +/- 1 degree celsius.

It really works well with concentrates imo, + weed. I can get tastey clouds for days and almost reach levels of TOO high lol

I kid, glad you're enjoying it, it really does work well with shatter and I had some budder I put through it too that was delicious. Try a little of both (weed + concentrate), I think that works wonders, but I tried some pure concentrate with the liquid pad and that vaped great too!

i must just agree - i love how it works with concentrate. as you mentioned some oil with herbs = endless clouds, try to half-pack a bowl with some herbs put the liquid pad with oil on top and add some kief on top of oil->210*C biggest clouds ever with my mighty. Mighty works very well in every way !

I think all the units they are sending out now are in the 16000 series. Just got mine, 16099, the one I returned was actually a bit of a higher number, but probably the exact same age. So, yeah, you got a brand spankin' new one I'd say.

- also, to comment on the heat up time. RAPID. No decrease it seems, but my only older version was a Crafty, and seemed to take forever, even though I've never formally timed it. Mighty is kinda quick, feels like less than 2 minutes.

Just did the test with an online stopwatch. Mighty had only cooled to 130F to start. It took 1 min 5 sec to go from 130 to 410F. As soon as it cools completely, I'll test it again. The room I'm in must be 70 degrees.

Crafty owner here and noticed a couple of pages back on suggestions of how to clean the bowl after it turns brownish in color after much usage. As has been discussed in the Crafty thread, the best way to clean this part to like new is using a piece of a Magic Eraser. It literally takes less than a minute to clean this way.
