How is this vape not more popular? Because of the way it looks or the stigma of the glass stem? I use the glass and my eds blood wood stem..which is great..and I own every other flame based portable and not so portable but am constantly grabbing the hammer for it's ease of use and really no chance of combustion..to me it's much more stable than a lighter..

Got my hammer pro today
Works fine on low temperatures but when I crank it up it just sputters out.
If I keep clicking to relit, it ignites the top gauze and has flames coming out about 1/2 inch (this happened twice not every time) which burnt the plastic
Anyone else have any problems like this

You'll see those flames when there is butane in the air. Sounds like your internal dial is too high.

My friend almost sent his back immediately because he didn't know this was a thing!
Luckily I corrected him, and helped him replace his low quality fuel as well. Gotta keep that torch happy!

Vapefiend contacted hammer and they said dial correct but they have to allow for outside temps, altitude etc so no dial will be 100% accurate so if it sputters turn it down

Just tried ordering one through vaporizer.com, long story short, over a week later no vape they offered me a "similar" product with an iolite, which was pretty ridiculous. Anyone know where I can find one that will ship to Australia? I wouldn't mind buying it from the hammer site, however the price is a much there... Anyone know some discount codes?

Hey guys ,finally got my hammer. Seems there was a problem with paypal. Finally got in touch with Dave and he got it straightened out. Didn't realize how much my Hammer meant to me until my first one started to act up and I had to wait for my replacement to show up. All is good in Hammertown again!

While waiting for my new vape I have been doing a lot of research (don't we all!). Can't seem to find much on how the hammer compares for cloud production, I know it is meant to have very good production but so is the solo... Anyone with both able to comment on how they compare cloud wise, and also how the hammer compares with the plug in log vapes or something like the 7th floor range? I have been using my solo through water and it's good but I'm not that impressed. I see a lot of videos of the hammer milking bongs, but I also see videos of the solo doing the same. I certainly don't achieve this with mine. Strictly cloud production I mean.

Imo the hammer smashes almost anything around..portable wise or even certain desktop..I have nothing but great results with my hammer..one of my favorites..bout 20 second heat up..and cloud city..I have an arizer air and it's not in same category as hammer..I mean the air is good with a certain technique..but hammer just rips..

So I idly pulled out the hammer for another quick round of "maybe this time…" I know, I know, I need to contact Head Tools and get it fixed already.I actually started out using cheapo Bernz-o-matic butane because I was in a rush to try it and couldn't find anything else quickly. Funny thing is, a month or two later I switched to some Xikar that I got from a cigar shop and the problems only started some time after that.
Given that I went from Lowes butane to some from a cigar shop, I'm figuring that can't be the problem? It would feel real weird to switch back to cheaper butane to solve an issue.
I recorded a quick and dirty video so y'all can hear what's going on. The audio is out of sync with the video, but you get the picture:
So now when I put butane inside, it immediately starts leaking out the top of the tank, round the trigger. Gives a little perspective on how it was behaving in that video, and maybe a better idea of what the problem might be? What would cause a lighter to start leaking butane out the other end?
Unfortunately I don't have an appropriately sized screw driver on hand. I'd think a problem like this wouldn't be difficult to spot in there…
Oh goooody! I can't wait for mine to turn up! Smashed my solo stems so it's a matter of what gets here first! Haha.

This has happened to me more than 10 times, it's always conveniently when I'm not home.Don't trust the hammer as a single vape when outdoors. I was fishing yesterday and my silicone ring snapped
I normally pack a couple extra on my case when my rings are starting to look brittle or very used.

I'm pickin some up and I'll always have a spare or two in my bag.
Had my hammer for about three hours now, found my old dugout at a mates place in the morning so was pretty into that all day. Got the hammer and instantly loved how similar they were! I also broke my only bong bowl on the transit home so I'm glad my hammer stem and a washer gets pretty airtight in my bong.
Got the flame adjusted to where it will ignite and stay on from 0-80 on the dail. 80-100 will require a few clicks. Seem to be this is how I can get it hottest.
The thing needs more heating than I thought but I can live with it, the clouds are pretty nice. Will tinker with it more, but it's certainly looking good for the price!

I have my hammer and I'm still trying to get the thing to hit correctly. I think my butane is old so I'm gonna try to get some top notch stuff then give it a go again. Let me get this straight, load halfway with dry, dry, weed then 30 sec heat up right? Mine sputters out at high temp as well, but on medium heat it tastes good but no vapor at all. It has to be the butane!

I was told there is quite a range because of temperature altitude etc
So just lower a bit if sputtering out

I have learned from first hand experience the more dry the bud is the last vapor. I discovered this about 2 weeks ago when my gf complained her ud wasn't vaping as well. I set her up with a classic jyarz of pre ground tree. A gram and a half lasted her over 3 weeks. By the end of the jyarz it was definitely not producing like it was in the beginning. We got new bud and all is well.
So my input @ShayWhiteGrow is definitely purge the butane and fill it with something quality. And also make sure the herb is not too dry.
Hope u can get it working soon for ya, this vape is a beast once u get the swing of it.

It worked!! New fuel= hammertime! I love this thing!!
Okay after a day using the hammer, here are my thoughts.
Pros.
cloud production
Cons.
Thing gets way too hot
Have the flame adjusted as high as I can get it but 50 second pre head and 20 second between hit
I thought I bought the pro but there is no locking on of stems at all, broke one within 12 hours because the thing basically needs to be held in place. Also they are pretty weak
I have ventti brand butane which should be okay, but I'll try better butane. Purged it and reliable ignition is still a problem.
I don't care for taste but it is harsher than my solo
I don't believe it's getting as hot as quick is have seen, played with the gears but I might pull it apart one day.
Butane nipple was leaking but it's stopped.
Overall
I still love it, Havnt used my solo again yet, but I see it as being some what of a prototype to something that I'd happily spend good money on. So far I do believe it's over priced, but I'd buy another one regardless.
Any idea where to source the cheapest stems for this vape? I don't think I want to spent much more money in this thing, but I would like to have more than 1 stem.
