There may be a few twisted areas but I took a really close look at my original photo and most of the spots you see that look broken are either dirty, twisted causing shadows from me reefing on it trying to unscrew it for cleaning, it did not come that way and they are not fragile. The Screens are extremely rigid and with normal use, I don't think you will have to replace the screens, although I hope they release the tool for those who would like to. I don't think it's really necessary to remove the screens to clean the mouthpiece because soaking it in alcohol will get most of it.

I was just wondering why people feel this vape is so discrete when used out in public compared to other vapes?
I can understand it being pretty unnoticeable when in a pencil case say or on a office desk. However (if I wasnt in the vape scene) someone walking down the street sucking on a chunky pen would look pretty odd to me.
In my mind someone puffing on a typical pen style vape would look less conspicuous

You're basing your conclusion on how people use a traditional vaporizer. Yes this vaporizer looks suspiciously like a pen, but that's not where the stealth factor ends.
This vaporizer has a 5 second heatup time. Literally you can pull out of your pocket, click, wait 5 seconds, take a drag, click off, and put back in your pocket. Technically, you don't need to be "walking down the street sucking on a chunky pen".
There isn't any other herb vaporizer on the market nearly as stealthy as this vaporizer. Sure with concentrates there are a bunch of stealthy options, but dry herbs are harder to vaporize.
To me, the stealth factor is cool, but I'm personally excited about owning a small instant-access vaporizer allowing me to get a quick single puff before going about my business. All my other portable vaporizers require at least a 5-10 minute commitment

Owned a Pax for years and not once was it a 5-10 min commitment.. Ya maybe not instant ready in 5 seconds, but if it takes you 10 minutes then thats bizzare..

Yea great points. I guess the stealth comes more from the quick heat up time rather than the ascetics (other than size).

my pax takes about a minute to heat up, then about 45 seconds or so to hit it the 3 or 4 times I usually do if I'm in a hurry. So almost two minutes compared to what with the Grasshopper will probably not take 45 seconds altogether is a huge difference in experiences
The pax takes about 1 minute to heat up before you can use it. And it's a conduction heater, so once the load is cooking, it's cooking until you drain the heat from the load. This is a waste in my opinion. And I'm not even counting the fact the Pax1 kills flavor faster than any other portable vape on the market lol.
Sure you can do a 2 minute session with the Pax, but is it a good session? Not really
Yeah, I can't wait to see what happens if/when they scale up this technology and make a bigger vape

I think the GH is about as stealthy as a vape can get. It's really not much bigger than a regular pen and it heats up almost instantly so you can be quick and discrete with your hits. Plus there are plenty of e-cigs out there and no one minds them really so if I saw someone hitting the GH going down the street, I would probably think it was an e-cig.......

The grasshopper is stealthier than the Inhalater, and I've used that thing everywhere without getting a second glance. Theatres, gov offices, shopping centres, airports - no one cares what your are sucking on... Keep it small and you are good. Hook a WT up and you are no longer discreet, but you can probably still get away with it, as most people aren't really aware of what's going on around them...

People in general don't pay as much attention to you as you'd think (unless you're being sketch). The best stealth is in plain sight. And even if they did, they wouldn't know what was going on or care.
Source: Someone who regularly uses portables (including larger ones like Crafty) in public...walking down the street, at concerts, while reading outside, etc. Never had a problem....then again I live in one of the most educated/liberal cities in the US, where you smell the stuff all the time. It also happens to be decriminalized here so LE doesn't care - I've literally sparked in front of police many, many times.
The Hopper's rapid heat-up and extraction time is great - you could literally go from 0 to high in seconds as you walk down the block. If anyone sees me, they just assume it's an e-cig. Remember - being nonchalant looks FAR less weird than standing in a circle in an alley passing something.

Long story short - I was sitting by the campfire getting ready to enjoy bowl #7 (didn't really have a chance to use it first few days), turned the heat dial up a notch and felt the back end pop open - it's spring loaded and parts went flying. Trevor was very quick to respond and a new hopper is on the way. I do think this is a one off - either a bad crimp at the factory or a bad snap ring, so not too concerned about it at the production level. I was torn on whether to post something or not - in the end I went the vague route because people were expecting updates but I also wanted to give the grasshopper team a chance to respond and to test out their warranty service. Will report back when I get my new hopper.
I do appreciate that they are sending me the replacement unit as well as a prepaid box to ship mine back in. Much better than me having to send mine in first on my own dime. That said - I am not sure if that will be their standard service procedure when there are thousands of hoppers in the wild.

For reals, what happened? Still have no idea what the issue was with @baltik 's hopper. Nor do we yet know what was wrong with @midgetsanchez 's.
Spill the details!
And Trevor is usually so good about answering emails, it's suspicious that nobody has gotten a reply from him since the update. I get that they're busy but it could them if people get scared and cancel their orders.

I think you mean the shipping thread. This is the official one. I confuse the two almost every time. baltik said the spring-loaded back end came loose and a warranty replacement is on the way to him.
