Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Been Vapin

Fringe Class
A simple who-is request returns this:

Just the name tells me that the guy just wants to make quick money.

He is probably dropshipping those pieces, meaning that you will pay 3 times the price you could on DHGate - and we all know that those pieces all comes with at least 1 imperfection, most of the time they are half done slits, crooked mouth pieces and that affects the quality a lot.

Do you think this guy will actually replace your piece when they send you a white one instead of an all clear one from his own house in the US? I doubt it.

EDIT: He has no picture of his 'product', they are all taken from the listings on DHGate and his tutorials are just copy pasted links from YouTube, just a heads up! Nothing american made on that website.

I saw rosintech.net doing some shady stuff already and get called out for it. I would stay clear of rosintech.net

They give rosin a bad name.

does anyone have any recommendations for this piece? iv already asked for it to have the perc welded to the bottom, to put the neck support back, also asked for the old neck back because i think this one is ugly.

Is this from Steven? What does the old neck look like, because this current one looks spot on for a Mothership clone.

Usually on the listing on dhgate it will have a note somewhere saying something like "seller will take XXX days to ship"
I've found they usually leave it until the last day possible, but sometimes they beat it :)

I'd suggest just messaging steven, and politely asking if he can try to get it out before the holiday.

Also, without being pushy about it or anything I'd mention you're on FC.
Just throw in a line like "I can't wait to receive my piece and put a review on FC"
I like to think he tries a little bit harder for orders he knows are going to FC members, but thats purelymy own speculation...

Yeah it said 12 days or something. Others items said that also I think but some still shipped early :) I was just curious on how long the "waiting game" is with DHgate. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure items from China go to SF/Lax b4 they come back to HI...

Also thanks for the advice bro, done and done :)

I can't wait to retire the overpriced pos I got.

Waiting game usually 2-3 weeks. Often orders ship out within 24-48 hours, but sometimes takes a few days. Ordered a UFO v2 & Matrix Pillar 1000 from Steven together. The UFO shipped within 4 days, arrived 11 days later. I opened Perhaps Steven took a hint from some of the broken orders because I opened the box to find everything covered in bubble wrap inside.. a smaller box. Flame polish marks disappeared with a quick bath.

Was excited to see the innovations over the v1 in person, but that's a post for another day:tup: The Pillar listed for posting but wasn't sent out immediately as part of that production run was defective. The UFO arrived the day the Pillar shipped so it gives a nice buffer to get acquainted. Don't mind the extra wait long as it's done right.

It is probably good you already ordered, China has a holiday coming up June 20-22nd. Last time workers were on holiday during the Chinese New Year orders would easily take over a month to arrive OR mysteriously get lost in the ePacket-twilight-zone.

I'm in the 808 as well, specifically Honolulu.

Guess it depends on the seller but for me personally, I've ordered from Steven, Kathy, Cnmeng, CCG(growhighglass), and Sunshine.

All arrived in Honolulu in 9 days. I've ordered throughout the months and most of the packages hit SF first. A few went to LA instead.

Anyways, those sellers I've mentioned are pretty good with fast shipping and bomb proof packaging.

What about wait time between being marked as shipped and something actually happening in terms of shipment? I ordered a FC-1000 on 5/31. 6/10 it is marked as 'shipped' on DHG. After (almost) a week with no updates to the tracking, I messaged steven (6/16), asking about the whereabouts of my package - just asking if it is still in his hands or with the shipper.

I get this reply:
Just I ship your piece at June 14th.my factory is in a remote town, then I will send all boxes to citywarehouse and they arrange to ship out, there genenral need 3 days..

if you are from FC,many FC friends know my situation.

I really don't want to be that guy; are my expectations off here? I've ordered from CCG and Sunshine Store before and don't remember such a delay between being marked shipped and actually shipping. The wait I don't mind, but being told my item has shipped when it actually hasn't isn't a great way to do business, IMO.

As you will see with many others in this thread...it's strictly timing. For some reason, everything else I buy...usually American, takes awhile to hit paradise. We never get next day shipping since it has to fly across the Pacific.

But for some reason, international packages arrive faster to me then those on the mainland.

I used to order electronics from Buyincoins and literally took a month. So I've been quite surprised with DHGate.

In terms of tracking, I would just stop tracking. The sellers have to provide a tracking number within a day or two just to maintain the transaction...it's a DHGate policy.

All I do is throw that LN number into my USPS app and check it after a week. Once there is movement in that app, then you know it's literally enroute.

For me, the app doesn't show anything until after days or so:

That was my point - no movement in a week. I'm not expecting overnight shipping or anything, but usually you get notice of acceptance within a few days of the seller posting a tracking number. I've yet to see that on this current item. Just seemed strange.

You're fine-- as long as you see initial acceptance on the tracking system in dhgate (if its been more than 2 weeks w/ no justification from the seller I would start to worry) the item is on its way to you. The reason a seller will mark shipped in dhgate prior to ACTUALLY shipping the item is to avoid being forced to shut down their store. The whole "will ship within xx days" is set by the seller when listing an item, so if your order is still in processing after this time dhgate forcibly closes the store (and of course they open with a new name).

that looks nice, i'd like to see a fab egg with a proper decent sized chamber, that one looks alright though
i always find pics deceiving, what are its dimensions? I'd really like to see a proper sized fab egg.
From what I am reading (and i'm really trying NOT to) The Sunshine version of the fab egg is much bigger than the others. Bigger, and I don't remember any complaints. I little pricier, but you are getting more.

It's the one I would be getting if I had an extra $77

Can someone be so kind as to share a UFO purchase link?

Put the tracking number into 17 Track. It takes about a week for things to arrive on this side of the Pacific. 7Track taps into the China Post tracking system and gives updates before USPS.

My GB-194-1 from Yingming finally arrived 3 weeks after leaving China, was starting to get worried. I bought this piece solely because @BoogerMan wouldn't shut up about how great it is :D. The piece is large and solid, all the perc holes are cleanly cut and there are no obvious defects. Great diffusion and flavour from the two percs with zero drag/chug, almost feels like there's no water in it when you hit it. It has definitely earned a spot in my regular glass rotation.

Now, if you can only convince @Frederick McGuire to get it then my work and praise about the 194 will finally be done :D

Glad you like it though man! It is definitely one of my favorite pieces. And sturdy as shit with an enail hooked up to it

There's literally 1 thing keeping me from pulling the trigger...
jus_sayin.jpg

EDIT:
I've also got an american-made double-matrix in the same form factor...
I seriously love me a matrix perc, and I'm pretty "meh" about tree percs...

Still, It does look like a nice piece and based on everything I've heard, it's a winner...
However, I can see that inlet snapping pretty easily without a reinforcement...
I usually leave either my LSV or Sub + cloud buddy on my rig (not while unattended, but long enough that I find it a concern..). The LSV in particular is quite tall, so it can have a fair bit of rotational leverage when all set up like that...

Its in my cart. I'd just bought a GravLabs Hydratube with a tree perc when I first noticed this. Then the Matrix Pillar and Eggs came along. Now i have all those out the way I just ordered my Starbucks cup with the correct perc from Steve, Now waiting on that. Also just got a MIGHTY FROM STORZ&BICKEL:rockon:
Off topic I'd like to say this thing is EPIC!! Flowers and Concentrates alike it just vapes you into neverland!!

Just a heads up to all you Chinese shoppers, like someone mentioned above, if you use 17track.net, you can "track" packages on the China side. Basically it'll tell you its movements b4 it goes on the boat/plane then it won't track for a few days, then it'll start tracking again using USPS.

My cmeng egg is in the states! With half my accessories from Kathy! The other half I just got a tracking # for.

Right on @BlazinBeast, I'm glad to hear that Steven's shipping got better, I don't mind waiting either as long as its cherry!
How's it @redijedi808 thanks for the info bro, always glad to find other 808ians :)

I think people sometimes get a little confused about shipping from China. This isn't Amazon, where they will throw the smallest thing in a box and ship directly from whatever domestic warehouse. Could definitely be wrong here, but my guess is that Steven himself (or other vendors) don't actually see the specific piece you're getting. Seems the orders are forwarded to the actual manufacturer (or warehouse) in China. Do to the way DHGate works for vendors, I'd guess once this happens that order is listed as "shipped" - as in the process has started. The warehouse/manufacturer then probably sends it to a shipping point in China - but a good possibility that they are not sending every different single piece. Probably actually goes once they have enough pieces to make it worthwhile. 10 - 20 - 5 - 50? Who knows? Once it gets to the international shipping point it will probably sit again until all items that can be packaged together go into one larger box, and often that box probably goes on a pallet with similar orders, then into a container to go on a ship - or is grouped with others for air transport. Then it ships overseas and is received in whatever US receiving point, before the larger packages are broken back down into individual orders that then get shipped USPS to your door.

There are at least a couple pinch points in this process where your timing may be lucky, or unlucky - to the extreme in either case. If your order happens to hit the factory or warehouse when they are close to having their total shipping order together, you move right along. Same when it gets to the Chinese international shipping point and would guess there can be delays on this end depending on how busy they are that day/week and how large of a total shipment yours happens to be a part of. If you just miss an order going out at either point, you're probably waiting until enough others are there to make it worthwhile to move to the next step. And again, you could get delays on this end. All of this if your piece is already manufactured and waiting to go. I think sometimes, especially when ordering new or very popular items (or both), the piece still has to be finished before it even starts this process.

Quite different than most online orders go for most of us if ordering from a typical US vendor or even eBay where the person you are ordering from and communicating with or their employee is picking the item from the shelf, sealing it in a box, throwing a label on and putting it in the pile for the daily (or more) visit from USPS, UPS or FedEx.

There may be other ways to ship internationally from China, but for what we pay for shipping (probably a pretty small portion of total price) I'd be surprised if it goes differently. Think this is why we see higher prices for other countries (less going there than US, so more of a "special" shipping order), and why vendors on DHGate who don't include shipping in the price have such high shipping fees. I'd guess that these vendors are doing things in what we would consider more traditional (pull from shelf, box, label, send individual package), and that is bound to cost more.

All just part of buying Chinese glass directly from China. IMO still best to order and expect it in 4 - 6 weeks. If it gets there sooner, excellent! If it isn't there in 4 weeks (or hasn't moved for a week at any point along the process except crossing the Pacific which could be longer for updates) then it's time to worry and look into it. Or, I guess you could request a quote for direct shipping and pay that fee. Probably only $10 - $20 for most bubblers. Me? I'd rather wait and deal with whatever delays the "free" shipping entails.

I'm confident that my e-nail and dropdown won't break it, but I'm not sure I trust Chinese workmanship enough to say your Sub and LSV will be fine. For dabbing and most other vapes it should work great though.
