Try using a pulsation technique where you hold the button for 3-5 seconds for the initial heat up and draw, and then use 2-3 second pulses after that. If this doesn't generate vapor, use lighter draws and/or more power. This technique works great with a single AW 18650 on my Persei an 8. Pulsing has several benefits; it maintains a more even temperature as well as avoids any time out issues. The main benefit is letting off the power momentarily allows the oil suspended in the porous ceramic wick to weep back towards the wire for the next round of button pressing.

Overall I find that I get both better vapor production AND better flavor with button modulation as opposed to long presses. Just my :2c:

I agree 100% for unregulated batteries. I used the pulse method for years on attys trying to make blazing hot wires give low temp hits. Temp control has made that a thing of the past. With tc on and dialed in correctly you can hold the button down with the coil and wick dry and it will generate heat but the wires never get red hot. I also keep the wattage low so that there is never any spikes in heat at any point in time so I could literally mash on the button and chain vape through 5 10 second time outs and never get a nasty dry hit. Pulsating would only rob the hit of vapor and I'm sure it would cause my oil to drip down into the air intake hole as it doesn't even really start vaping for a few seconds after holding the button down.

Temp control is the way of the future for on the go low temp dabs. Now that I've seen the light there's no going back. And now that I've found a nice dual coil atomizer I can rebuild I couldn't be happier.

Got my buddy to pull the trigger on a Hercules SR-74 and Persei along with 2 cores, 1 for me so I don't have to pay for shipping and finally be able to switch voltages. Also picked up another coil for my SR-71, that bad boy is still kicking after two+ years. Looking forward to that fresh new coil filled with some berry white shatter. :p

Oh your gonna love the 71+core I like to drop mine to around 6.8-7.1 with the nibbler-xl and can ride the button all I want

Thanks! Mine was reading 3.6. I took it apart and saw that some oil had dripped down in between the center post and ceramic rod. Cleaned it up and now it reads 2.3 and is a nice strong hit again. Although I noticed the center post spring isn't springy anymore, the little pin just sits all the way down and doesn't bounce back up.

By the way, how does everyone else use the AAF? I have really only used it completely open.
I am catching up, so forgive me for resurrecting weeks old stuff -- I use mine damn near fully closed; like a hair's width open at best. I pretend I'm simulating a carb cap with the low air flow conditions, though I don't know how true that is. I get the clouds I'm looking for, so I try not to open mine any further. My tastier, terpene laden waxes and crumbles had a higher tendency to leak, and I like the herc for flavor, so I set it up with the lower air flow, and added a second AAF so that if I cough into the herc (rare, but previously disastrous to my payload), I don't drop the whole upper chamber contents into the lower chamber. In fact, I haven't seen a single drip since I added the second AAF (admittedly, I've been using the Herc less, in order to give the globe and AC some time in the limelight).

Just reporting back loading was not an issue can just scrap on the side the push it down if needed. I used the single coil with 18350 battery in a mech mod and it worked great. Not much vapor as the coils don't get red hot but taste was great material was vaporized an I was medicated. A+

One thing I noted is that the glass tank is very difficult to get on and off. The orings even get flattened. I thing the glass is a tad to small. Anyone else experience this? I feel like the glass may shatter in my hand as it takes a lot of effort to pI'll off or put on.

I hope to try the other coils today.

Glycerine, boyyyyy!! Or e-juice, if you have that laying around. I bought some VG for ~$5 from my local pharmacy, just as o-ring lube (I used e juice numerous times, but I found I don't like the smell of e juice near my wax, it's confusing for my brain to sort out those smells). Keep those o-rings safe, while not breaking the globe in your hand! Woohoo!

Hey @THC SCIENTIFIC , I really hate to keep asking but should we expect to see a V2 Iris soonish?
I'm down to two working tops. A V1 Iris and an og double top. Don't really want to purchase an 8 that I'll never use again once the V2 Iris comes out. But I need another working top.

Loving this Kiss AC by the way. Well done.

Seriously bummed.

Ordered 5 new dual coils for the Kiss Globe last week for a bachelor party this week. Got sent 5 3.7v 1701 attachments for the Kiss AC instead...

This is my #1 complaint for W9 Tech. I think this is the 4th time I've been shipped the wrong thing. The picking and packing process needs some serious work.

If your within the first year warranty submit a ticket on the w9tech webcite or pm @SamuraiSam to get your top repaired if your out of warranty you would need to buy the repair service on the w9 page

The first thing that would happen if you PM'ed me for technical assistance is; I'd ask you to open a support ticket so we can get the issue documented in our system.

In any situation, whether it's a product inquiry or repair service needed even on an older device, opening a support ticket before making a purchase can simplify the entire procedure. It'll allow me to keep track on shipping status to us, and I can guide you towards the correct items and ensure that we minimize shipping costs throughout the repair procedure.

Please open a ticket by visiting us at www.w9tech.com/contact-us/ and I'll do my best to assist!

Sure this has been posted somewhere before, but can someone give me the resistance (ohms) of the 3 AC carts:

1. Single coil
2. Dual coil
3. Ceramic donut

Many thanks in advance.

This is on my kit ... I'm sure there's variances from kit to kit

Dual coil .72
1701 .80
Single coil .99

What are you using to measure ? And are you measuring cold?

Just a quick thought has anyone taken the black wick from the 1701 and added it to the dual or single coil in the kiss alpha for extra oil storage?

Mine didn't come with the black wick for the 1701

The measurements were taken cold and done simply by strapping them onto the vf mini which reads pretty accurately. I can cross reference with my fluke mm if you'd like.
