Im going to continue to add to this post but I wanted to go ahead and get started on it with some unboxing pictures, etc. Ill update it throughout the weekend as we use the unit a little more and I can make some more comments. I also would like the opportunity to speak to the manufacturer about anything I find so if there's issues, I can at least get some feedback as I go. But.. on to the unboxing pictures.

Unit was shipped via USPS Priority and arrived in 2 days. Here is what was included with my unit.

Terpz control unit
Power cord
20mm barrel coil
Titanium InfiniiTI clone
Titanium carb cap
Quartz carb cap
2 titanium dabbers
Instruction manual and warranty card

Thanks to the lovely Mrs P for the photography work

I have read through the instruction manual and while I have found a couple of VERY minor mistakes in the manual, thats far outweighed by the explanation of operation of the unit. They give a pretty good overview of programming the PID which is preprogrammed out of the box to work with their coil. They also have a nicely written troubleshooting section as well as settings for various types of temperature probes. In the days of "Download the manual online", I thought it was a nice touch.

Mrs P has already taken it for a spin with all the supplied stuff.. we'll be side by siding a couple of units tonight.

I have to say, so far, for the money its a very nice unit. Its competitive with the Auber unit price-wise. There are a few things I like about the Terpz unit over the Auber such as the metal enclosure and the removable power cord. About the only thing so far that I prefer the Auber is the temperature adjustment on the Auber is done with a dial and its a little easier. Fiddling with the push buttons is kind of a pain but a small price to pay.

Im hoping to have a picture of the internals to show you guys later tonight.

Great Scott!
I've been using this for a while. Mine came with less stuff, but they got me the quartz nail I wanted instead of titanium. I find I like it at 775 degrees on the quartz. 710 was too low and not vaping correctly even with a cap. I'm sure it varies on nail type etc.

I think you'll like it. I'm happy with mine.

Just a quick update.. still using The Terpz unit as our daily driver and its still working great. Ive gone through a myriad of coils and nails to see if the performance matched the Auber unit and Im happy to say it does. The Auber has been relegated to backup status at this point. I like the detachable cord and the metal case its all housed in.

What other brand coils work out of the box with the terpz? I am finding it hard to come across any quality quartz nails that aren't crazy money.

I might break down and get the Pukinbeagle self carb capping nail that would work with the included 20mm coil, but its $200!

Ive bought coils from @VoltageKeeper that work fine with the Terpz unit and Ive bought Dnail coils that also have worked great. I believe you could use higher wattage coils, you just need to use the Auto Calibrate feature to make them work. Ive spoken at length with one of the owners of The Terpz about getting values for different wattage coils but so far havent been able to get anything concrete other than to try the Auto Calibrate.

Man, should have seen this post. Enjoy my terpz very much, thanks to poopmachine's recommendation in another thread. I use it at 711 with my PB direct inject nail and doesn't leave a bad vapor trail. Do you think it runs a lil cooler?

It is very difficult to find a quality Quartz nail that isn't $200. I saw the new deep dish banger from Dnail and the happy daddy looks great

What is the happy daddy one you are talking about?

Is your pukinbeagle nail the one that is self carbing? I am really considering just dropping the INSANE cash to get that. Sounds amazing.

I have to run mine around 740 or more honestly. It definitely is losing some heat to transfer/gaps or something. There is no way my quartz is anywhere near the set temp. The coil might be close, but that doesn't full seem to transfer through the quartz. I wish I had an IR thermometer. I'll get one soonish.

The Happy Daddy is a TI nail with a quartz insert. Its a small dish that sits inside the Ti chamber. Thats my nail of choice these days.

You need to run the temp about +50 when you use the quartz dish.

Yea, exactly what poopmachine said. I have the direct inject pukinbeagle with dabber/carb cap. What I like about the nail is that it stays clean long.

Ive been going back and forth between the HDP and a NewVape enail I bought at the Cup. Both are excellent.

I had no issue with the nail that came with the unit. I have a genuine InfiniTI and its just not one of my favorite nails. The knockoff that came with my Terpz unit wasnt quite as nice finish wise but worked the same.

Is there a big taste difference between the Quartz and ti on HDP.? Very interested in that nail but price tag scares me off.

I generally hate the taste of TI nails. I'm assuming the HD ti with the quartz insert doesn't have any "titanium flavor"?

Not really.. I dont notice much of a bad taste with my high end Ti.. the cheap stuff is kind of funky but my HE, HDP and New-Vape all taste about like my quartz. Ceramic is the one I cant stand.

I like the idea of titanium that have Quartz or sapphire inserts. The chances of breaking the nail are nonexistent. But all these nails are pricey.

I have had absolutely no problems with mine. It was the best $200 I spent. Never got a red glowing coil.

Well, my terpz finally got here and I am frankly confused. The quartz nail with the heating coil attached does not seal properly on ANY of my glass, 18mm or 19mm. Without the coil it seals fine. And with their titanium nail I also ordered, the nail gives a proper seal, but the heating coil won't stay touching it. It slides down and starts heating the glass it sits in/on. There are no instructions or images for how to mount the nail(s) in the heating coil, so I assume I am missing something.

The little bit of paperwork that came with it tells me to check their website for how to 'season' the nails before using them, but I have found no documentation on their website at all.

Already burned myself and cannot get it to actually work at all. The heating coil works fine, just cannot get it to both stay touching one of the nails that I got with it and keeping an air-tight seal on any piece I try to use it with. A single diagram would have bene helpful. I can't even tell what is up on the heater coil when trying to mount it on either nail. I have never had an e-nail before, so maybe there is some standard way of connecting the nail, the water pipe, and the heating coil that I do not know.

Help?

EDIT: Got it working with the titanium. Was very non-obvious for someone who'd never used an e-nail. Now that it's working I like it a lot. Heated up much faster than I expected. Still can't get the quartz nail happening though. Must be attaching it to the coil wrong?

EDIT II: Got the quartz working now. Feel like a burnout for not seeing how it worked immediately, but I've never touched an e-nail before.

They definitely need to upgrade their documentation.

@arff77 Didn't work and then it did. What did you see? I am total newbie to this device and am fascinated. You discovered a "common sense, everybody knows thing" and I don't know anything.

This is the first enail I have ever used, and as it is a very new product, it didn't come with the most explicit documentation on how to use it. But that being said, once I figured it out (took less than an hour) I have loved it. Heats and cools damn near as fast as using a blowtorch and nail, but with precision control and no need for waving a blowtorch around. Only thing I don't like is I wish the heating coil was a tighter fit on the quartz nail- seems to not make contact at a couple of points. The titanium does not have that issue.

Next I'm saving up to get the titanium nail with the quartz insert.
