Looking for desktop wax/herb vape

New to vaping and I'd like to find one device for both wax and herb, doesn't have to be portable or anything, is there anything out there?

dko,
There are quite a few desktops that can handle both herb and concentrates. You could consider the E-nano for example. If you have a lot of cash you could consider the Herbalizer. In terms of portables, the Haze is specifically designed to deal with herb and concentrates.

Thanks for the tips. I'm kinda on a budget so it looks like the e-nano is my best option.

Looking at their site, it looks like I would need the standard kit and the aroma therapy cup for wax but it's out of stock. Can I just order the e-nano direct and get the cup elsewhere?

Aromatherapy cup is for aromatherapy. You just layer concentrate in between herb, or put it in some unbleached organic cotton and load into the stem like normal.

Good choice. It's a very versatile model. If you use (or plan to use) a glass piece the optional gong adapter will allow for big hits through water, and using the vapor stem, you can also tailor the size of your draw somewhat. Don't forget fclove as a discount code and also register yourself as an FC member for the lifetime warranty.

Just saw some reviews on the haze and it looks pretty good. Are there any discount codes for it?

No need for the cup, it's for essential oils so you can use it for aromatherapy when you aren't using it for vaping. I use my wax in a little ball of organic cotton, plop it into the GonG and run it through my D020. You'll probably want to consider grabbing at least 1 of the GonGs.

If you've got the cash, you might also want to grab an extra of any glass pieces and perhaps an additional cord to make moving room to room a little easier.

I bought one e nano and loved it so much I bought a second one. Another vote for the nano. I'm looking for glass WT I didn't think the D020 bubbler worked out well. I hear the D020D worked better.

The e-nano does concentrates very well, the issue is how to load them. I've been playing with stainless steel wool with good but messy results. Others have had good luck with concentrate pads for other vaporizors (aromapads from herbalizer or concentrate pads for the Volcano, and just saw firefly has concentrate pads that should work well if cut to size). Think they need a little tweaking or cutting for use, but still probably the most economic/easiest way to vape concentrates.

The Vapman with optional screens works OK, too. But, IME takes a little more practice and can only load very small amounts.

I make a wax or shatter sandwhich with my herb using the enano works out fine for me. The herb absorbs the concentrate so it doesn't make much of a mess. I hear folks using hemp fiber with their concentrates. Folks also use cotton as a medium. I don't particularly like the flavor of concentrates and the herb does a nice job of covering that taste up.

The Solo can be used as a desk top as well as a portable and I use concentrates the same way in that unit.

I've tried the sandwich method a few times, but always find the flower gets spent long before the concentrates and really throws my taste in a bad direction. Any tips on how to keep this minimal?

I like degummed hemp better than cotton. Friend of mine who makes clothing and bags and whatnot had some raw hemp fabric that I shredded and had good luck with, but need to go get some more.

I know you said you were on a budget but this is just to great to not mention.

If you were looking more towards the concentrate end and wanted to vape and dab simultaneously but separate then look no further. Errlectric with the HerbNail is phenomenal! Pure convection (no 1-2 extraction like a nano tho) with the dry herb in the herb chamber topped off with a dab on top of the Ti.

Been looking at different stuff and I'm still not sure what to get. I was looking at the e-nano but I don't want to have to sandwich my wax and having to use cotton or steel wool does sound like it can get messy.

I was hoping to be able to just switch out a attachment and vape one or the other.

That's asking a lot lol without getting into big $$ the nano, as suggested may be your best bet.

Idk of any desktop vape in that range the can vape both herb and concentrate besides the nano.

Other than that I'd say you're looking for an Errlectric with HerbNail or Sublimator. But they're pretty expensive. IMO Errlectric is worth every cent. I never tried the Sub tho.

What about a Da Buddah with nail attachment?

It seems to hit all of your points and should leave you extra money for attachments.

I've never been satisfied with ss wool or cotton as a long term solution in any of my logs. I haven't tried any purpose made concentrate pads in one though.

Thanks, so far that looks like a pretty good option although it doesn't look as sturdy as the e-nano.

There is always the Vapman! Portable and need to heat with a butane torch, but inexpensive and easy to switch for flower or concentrates.

The nano isn't really that bad as far as messy. I think about the same or less than other vapes that can do concentrates in your price range. The main issues are making sure you have enough material in the GonG to hold the concentrate you put in after it starts melting - or put in a little less concentrate; and using enough screening below so once things get gooey they don't drip through. Definitely not as clean as using a domeless or nail, but not really much worse and gives many more hits IME.
