Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Just found out about the keychain biz. Hope it's not too late. I did get my new Haze 2.5 in today though! They've definitely improved on almost everything from the previous model. Almost all the issues I had with it have been rectified.

The exceptions are the battery life; though that's the price you pay for a battery powered portable, and the various latches that hold everything shut; these plastic tabs are hard on my hands as well as being flaky and seemingly fragile. The metal cover is my favorite improvement.

The taste is okay, though I haven't really packed it tight at all. I got the WonG adapter and it's beautiful. The hits I got through the bong were a little wispy, though that may be the result of the previous sentence. It's also a relatively large piece (15", single honeycomb).

I had some THC glycerin tincture brewing in my cupboard. I dipped the wick in that and went to town. One soak lasted at least a dozen good hits, starting on 1 and escalating to 2. It was better at milking the bong with that than dry herb (though this led to glycerin dripping into the air path and thus WonG).

The cans are as excellent as ever for dry bud too. I have a hard time justifying even using the screens. They create such a mess when the cans are quite neat and tidy.

The stainless mouthpiece gets pretty hot, even at 1 for e-juice. I suspect I'll be using my WonG as a mouthpiece when I'm not paired. I have a new microbubbler en route, so we'll see how much better the experience is with a smaller piece. The Haze itself can get pretty hot too, but this one doesn't seem to get as hot as my first one.

The Stealth Black is stunning, for what it's worth. Can hardly tell it's mostly plastic

I just need to accept that this isn't the vape that I can hit all the time like my E-Nano or Lotus. It's like a scalpel: It does it's job really efficiently, but you probably shouldn't cut your steak with it.

Many thanks to Haze for running the contest. I hope the slogans are at least helpful!

Edit: It definitely cannot white wall this 15", but damn if those first 4 or so hits weren't tasty as hell. Great work with the upgrades, Haze.

Edit 2: I've owned it less than a day and I absolutely regret buying the WonG over extra batteries. I could only afford one and the WonG will not be any use to me when I'm out and about (my main use scenario).

Yeah extra batteries are a must if you want to use the Haze a lot. I find the battery life is actually better than I expected but then my expectations were not really high. I get that using batteries comes with a down side and really the only way to combat that until better battery tech comes along is to have multiple batteries on hand. I dont consider that a downside of the Haze, its just the nature of our current battery tech. I am surprised that you are having issues with your mouthpiece getting hot. Ive vaped at the #4 temperature setting and not experienced any heat in the mouthpiece that gave me any discomfort or really that Ive even noticed. I find the vapor from the Haze to be much cooler than pretty much any portable Ive used.

That surprised me too. I've done multiple sessions in a row, including shatter at 4, and haven't noticed the SS mouthpiece get warm (much less hot). Maybe they did a session, put the mp back inside where it can get warm from residual heat, and noticed it was warm on the next session?

I haven't used the ss mp but I do notice the glass mp warming up a little if I do a bunch of long and hard pulls. I think the Haze is meant to be sipped like a good bourbon and not sucked like a milkshake.

Well said Count. I agree completely. I get my huge clouds by taking a nice slow 10 to 15 second draw. When I do this I get monster vapor clouds and in my opinion tastier vapor.
On another subject lately I've been attempting to count my hits to see what an average can lasts me at 0.2g of dry herb. I get to 4 or 5 before I forget what number I was on. I think it ends up being about 6-8 good ones maybe more. What do any of you get?

Hi all. I'm new to this board but, I've had my Haze Vaporizer for a couple months now. Actually... I bought it after reading some of this thread. This is my first vaporizer. I did buy, before the Haze, a Snoop Dogg GPen but what a disappointment that was. I put that thing up for sale the same day I got it in the mail.

Anyhow... I like the Haze, I really do but I have 2 issues with the Haze.

My issue #1... it takes forever to be done with a bowl. I mean... the bowl will hold on average 0.1g of herbs. That's a 3 second hit in any bong, yet it's a 5 minute session in the Haze. You know how long it takes to go through a gram? I never found out. I think the cans are improperly designed. I think they should be shallower and wider. So they could hold the same volume, while increasing surface area for a quicker, more intense vape.

#2... they advertise "2 bowls" in the same session. That's complete Bs. You can only ever turn 1 bowl ON at any given time. The marketing implies that you can vape from both bowls at the same time and I was impatient to get my Haze so I could do just that. Herbs in 1 bowl, extracts in the other bowl... turn'em on and enjoy the mix. But meh... that ain't happening since you can only turn 1 ON at a time. I know that turning ON 2 bowls would draw that much more power from the batteries but, I really don't care!

I bought into the PayItForward & Upgrade Program. Even though I do like my Haze anyway, I can't wait for the next release.

It would be nice to use both at the same time for really quick sessions that leave u super hazed. However I like the cans the way they are because I use way less herb. Significantly less than if I were combusting.
If I were to be able to vape a can really fast I would probably use more than I needed. Which is not a problem but it wastes my resources.

@blaze_125 welcome to FC :cheers:

Always good to hear from someone else enjoying their haze, just thought I would try to add my own glass half full kind of view to your issues (please don't take anything here as negative, it's not what I intend :peace:)

it takes forever to be done with a bowl
For some this is a big plus, herb lasting longer is never a bad thing IMO

yet it's a 5 minute session in the Haze
You hit the nail on the head here, the haze is a session vape  there are vapes that can give instant and quick hits but most are butane powered, although there are some battery powered ones also, my Daisy and Lily are more like instant 'bong' hits.

Herbs in 1 bowl, extracts in the other bowl... turn'em on and enjoy the mix
This could still be done, just put it all in one can and enjoy the mix  lots here do.

And just for your amusement :D I had a play with ISO, done a few runs so far and getting better each time, when used in the haze it takes "it takes forever to be done with a bowl" to a whole new level, I guess I still have to work out dosage I thought a 3-4mm ball was a small amount  but it lasted almost half hour of big cloudy fun, after 15 minutes I thought it's gotta be done soon but no just kept going  have to say it took me to a place I've never been before :science:

Anyway welcome to the fun, stick around and share in some stories and laughs

Welcome @blaze_125!

I hear you on how long it takes. I always tell folks that want to convert to vaporizing that it takes a bit more commitment. Depending on your device there are different levels of time and maintenance requirements with vaporizing than just rolling/packing and sparking. I also take time to remind them of the benefits over burning including much improved taste of meds., much healthier and low smell (which is actually one of my favorite benefits besides the health aspect which is my #1).

I'm a session guy too (but have other vapes for quick duty) so like Mr. @UnshavenFish, I appreciate how long the Haze can make it last.

Regarding the two bowls at once. This is a good suggestion and one that I know Haze is aware of. They pick feedback off this board so your suggestion will be noted once again and who knows, maybe it will show up on one of their units down the line!?!?

This is one of the things I really like about the Haze. I have asthma and had basically quit using the herb for over 10 years because smoking was just too hard on me ( I did smoke on occasion for events like concerts and such ) . Vaping was the answer for me. But with asthma comes a lower lung capacity so instead of taking monster pulls, I benefit from the slow and steady draw. Ill just add that vaping produces the desired effect with far less herb than smoking. In my experience I figure I use about a third of what I needed when I toked. I certainly dont see that as a downside!

Wow. I bought another 2.5 from massdrop the other day. I received an email letting me know they will be getting the order from Haze in a week and that they will begin delivering them to everyone around the 24th. To my surprise I just received another email stating its already on its way and will be on my doorstep on the 18th according to the tracking number. Awesome. Thanks Haze for participating with Massdrop. I cannot stress how great Haze Tech is. I mean they are honestly one of the best businesses I've ever done business with. Thanks again both Haze and Massdrop

In terms of things that would improve the haze, the two bowl option would definitely be awesome. But, even before that it would be great if they changed the way you turn on the haze. The current method disrupts the great form factor that haze created. Additionally, I do not really love the "change heat button" if haze turned that into a 0ff to temp 1-4 dial and added a switch to change between bowls (or do both) I think that would be a serious improvement. Especially if they could pair that up with a new way to store the mp and get rid of the sticking issue. (The sticking issue makes the haze much less convenient for me because to store the mp in it I almost always need to bring the tweezer tool to pull it out).

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Theres a very easy hack to help with the sticking mouthpiece issue. I cant take credit for it, someone else came up with he idea earlier in the thread. Simply take the spring out of a clickable pen. Snip off 3 coils and then pull the ends a bit to open the spring up. Drop it in the tube and voila! your mouthpiece is spring loaded and will pop up when you open the chamber. Ive used this for awhile now and it works fine.

I don't store the MP in the Haze unless I have to pocket it. I learned all about proper Haze technique when I bought the first model.

As far as sipping versus pulling, that argument doesn't hold water. If it is a convection vape then drawing slow would serve to keep the oven at a higher temp, thereby increasing the temp of the vapor and thus the mouthpiece. Anyways I've been taking long, slow drags. A bowl lasts about 5-7 good hits and 5-7 mediocre hits (on 4) and the SS mouthpiece starts getting pretty hot right at the end. This makes back to back bowls kind of uncomfortable.

I got in on the Haze Massdrop and I can't wait for it to get here. I've read through about 20 pages of this thread so far but are there any other super helpful tips for a new haze owner that I should know about.

I'm just stating from experience, sipping provides me with cooler hits and a cooler mp. The oven temp is usually a constant for me, unless the battery is getting low, with sipping or pulling. I don't often get flashing lights. That equates to pulling transferring more heat to the vp and mp vs sipping.

Question for those pairing their Haze with the D020 bubbler (and thanks again to everyone for guiding me through this world. Special thanks to Ratchett and his silicone adaptor). I notice in some videos after hitting the bubbler folks lift the Haze from the bubbler so they can clear the bubbler of any lingering vapour. If the Haze is left in place between hits would you lose vapour?
I noticed a few earlier posts asking about pairing the Haze with glass and after using this combo I'd say go for it. Before I couldn't hit my Haze for big hits as I'd break out coughing but I'm now able to take long slow draws and haven't coughed once. The sessions are shorter too. I get about 6 or 7 good hits and 4 or 5 thinner hits using my Haze with cans about 2/3 full. When mated with the bubbler I'm getting about 4 or 5 massive hits with 2 or 3 thin ones. I thought maybe you'd lose some potency putting the vapour through water but after getting thoroughly baked during my first session that's not the case. I'm also thinking this would be the way to go for folks with asthma or other breathing difficulties.
Pic to follow once my MFLB whip arrives to complete my setup (along with another adaptor). And thanks again to the countless posts, pics, videos and advice offered in the 2 months since I joined the forum.

If you leave the Haze on the bubbler after you hit it, blowback will occur. Some vapor may come out from the hatch. You will lose vapor from blowback. Also, I tend to avoid blowback as it forces vapor to go where it doesn't normally go and could cause potential cleaning problems-for any vape on that matter. If someone allowed blowback for long periods of time, I imagine a vapes' air intake to get pretty dirty which could be hard to clean.

Hello everyone! I am super excited to let you all know that my status and posting ability will somewhat change on FC! Why you ask?

Take a look at my avatar and profile. I have accepted a position with Haze Industries as their Sales Manager. I will be focusing on wholesale business to business sales but of course I will continue to be active on this thread and answer all the questions I can.

If you have read this thread from the beginning you already know that I was an early adopter of the Haze. I actually believe I was the first one to post about purchasing it. However I AM NOT a shill! I have acquired a lot of vaporizers since then and enjoy many others outside of the Haze.

What did happen throughout this process is I established a strong relationship with the Haze team. I gathered and provided a lot of feedback for them to improve the unit. I got to understand and appreciate how they do business and I realized this was a place I wanted to be.

During this time I was also going through a lot in my job. I won't get into a lot of details but let's just say I became dissatisfied with the greedy/finger pointing environment who says they care about people but have a funny way of showing it. I was the senior manager in my facility but I quickly became to fall guy for everything that was wrong there. So in the end things just didn't work out.

The unfortunate thing was I moved my family around a lot for these people. I made a move from Michigan (where I am originally from) to the Georgia (suburbs of Atlanta) to Illinois (suburbs of Chicago) all in the span of one year. When I lived in Atlanta (Specifically Suwanee) I never knew about Haze but come to find out they were setting up shop in Alpharetta which only 30 minutes from where I lived. Damn I wish I would have gotten to know these folks then. It might have saved me a lot of moving around.

Fast forward to now....I kinda knew I wanted to do something different and was interested in a job in this growing industry so I took some time to travel down to Georgia to get to know the Haze team face to face. We quickly realized it was a pretty good match. For me this is perfect. I get a job doing something I WANT to do. I get to work for some extremely caring and stand up people but I also get to move my family back to sunny GA where the cost of living is low and the weather is nice! We actually purchased a home in Suwanee which is the town we grew to love in the short year we were there. For them they get someone who is passionate about the Haze and the industry as a whole. I also have a lot of skills and leadership that can help a growing business so that was good too.

So for me this has been a dream come true and it honestly feels like it was meant to be how it all worked out. I cannot contain my excitement to get going here! I am looking forward to growing the Haze brand and starting a fresh life in Georgia with my family. Wish me luck and thanks to all the FC members supporting Haze. There is a lot in the hopper there so stay tuned for what's coming. I think you are all going to be impressed like I was when I heard some of the plans. But please don't ask me because I am not at liberty to discuss. :)
