The buckeye has always been my favorite, I'm pretty sure that's what I'll go with for my next Enano + bits. One day I'm going to see something I can't resist, but I'm trying to be patient.
Great Buckeye is becoming increasingly more difficult to find. Best to strike while the iron is hot ;-)

My buckeye box mod is almost done too and it's looking sweet! I wanted to get a buckeye with a little more figure to it to match the mod
. My old buckeye is already in its way to a new home so it made this a little easier.

Buckeye is one of my favorite woods as well. Having Ed make me an Arizer Air stem now in Buckeye.. Excited to get it!!
Im a wood person, i love the stuff especially on nice knives. Normally prefer smoking/vaping out of glass but i figure a wood stem when camping and hiking would be more durable and look better too.
Now im seeing all these matching wood vapes and stems and stuff and my wallet is NOT safe!! Dont even need another vape... Im happy with my EQ and Air... But i do NEED a matching wood vape and stem HAHA!!
Speaking of buckeye... My newest knife actually has a beautiful buckeye bolster. Rest of the handle is KOA.

I should wait till it's here but Nico has given me many pics n videos during different stages. He has been great with communication. All his contact info you see goes straight to his personal cell phone! Not to mention his woodworking talent. Well here are some pics and videos of this baby.

All of these beautiful vapes started out as a beautiful blank provided by @Snappo.
I can't thank you enough my friend. I'll retake the pic when it's a little overcast, today there's not a cloud in the sky lol.
I apologize, but i have a couple questions. First ill start by saying the buckeye, and the one in the middle are the best looking vape setups i have ever seen. Stunning in every sense of the word!
Now to sound noob'ish.... How big are these things? I seen some pictures next to a soda can... Are they all that small? I see you keep them in a humidor as well, so im thinking maybe they are smaller than i think... ??
Also, how does this work? Do you just acquire the wood blank and then send it to a vaporizer company?
Are all of these the same vape just with different wood cases? Which vape?
Sorry for all the questions... I found this thread just searching around for pics of Ed's stems... But now i just have to own a beautiful wood vape... May take a little time. But its a must have now!!

You can purchase a wood blank form Snappo on this thread @WoodVillain , Then he will send the blank to whatever company you want for your log vape..if want a nano, to andy at epicvape or you want an underdog send to their company. Snappo will give you the info you need. If you want an eds stem make sure you have enough wood for those too!

What's up WoodVillain, thank you for the kind words. I absolutely LOVE buckeye and that vape I actually just sold to another member to get a new BuckeyeDog. The middle is Chechen Burl, also one of my favorites. There was another blank similar to my Chechen that was turned into an enano.
To answer some questions, yes they're that small lol. You'll still be surprised how small they are in person too.
The custom vape process is effortless with @Snappo. Choose your blank, then where you want it to go UD(my fav), enano or elsewhere and Snappo ships it there for you. Or get it shipped to you and just stare at them lol.
The front 3 are UnderDogs and the back 2 are enanos. I personally prefer UD for reasons I'm not gonna get into, you can search their respective threads n choose for yourself. But not all my dogs are the same. UD offers a couple different cores also.

It would be pretty cool to have one of those portable lily vapes from triihouse in buckeye or amboyna burl... But im not sure if that company would even do a custom. I guess there is only one way to find out. I could at least justify that to the wife easier... Its portable and doesnt take batteries. I have portable -battery powered-, and i have plug-in.... I just want WOOD
