Thanks for the information. I don't know whats going on with the photos....I am working on the site trying to figure it out so Please check back soon.
Just got my Grasshopper today so now I am working on the full production review, the real deal! I would love to get some input on things you all might like to see or things that would be helpful.

Someone asked about charging - since I don't have a charging cable yet I'm using the external charger they recommended (Tenergy TN270) . I can't speak for other chargers, but I know the GH team advises against using third-party/external battery chargers in general.

I'll be doing a casual review soon, but something strange came up (I'll share details shortly).

In the meantime...some pictures for y'all

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
It's solid metal. I think that makes it durable but I didn't say reliable. I think this vape is a tank and they are offering lifetime warranty for a reason.

Sorry, due to my poor language I was thinking durable and reliable where kind alike when talking about an electronical device.

But again, you say you think it is a tank, isn it a term of comparison for something reliable? I often read Cano is a tank (it has proven his reliability over time, GH is not really out)

As already said, lifetime warranty is an overrated value caming from a small startup that is only selling (and still not shipping) one product. I mean it is always good but from SB or Arizer (or even the smaller epicvape) it gives totally different feeling than from hopps labs, don't you agree?

I think durable as more it won't just break easily, but reliability is like how long will it hold up without breaking... So its durable in that in your pocket or if you drop it the gh won't just snap or crack, etc.

So much for yard work today.. gonna have to stay here so I can keep refreshing this page.

On a serious note, we still don't have even a respectable amount of hoppers "in the wild" to make all these assumptions, good or bad. I'm really just looking forward to some updates that aren't more delays for all of us. This thing looks amazing, let's just see what Matt and Trevor have up their sleeves for Monday.

Err, Tuesday morning

I'm really looking forward to having a vape that can adjust it's temp so quickly. My EQ takes forever to change temperatures, so I've never really had an opportunity to do much temp-stepping.

Hey 1_gr8_underdog, inuhuion, bounce5 and others,

Thanks for all of the questions and ideas, I will do my best to answer them but it may take a little time as I just got a production Grasshopper. I will post things as I go and I am really glad to see other people out there with Hoppers!

I know the GH team advises against using third-party/external battery chargers in general.

Personally, I'm going to wait for their custom charger if for no other reason than to support their company for producing the Grasshopper especially after they were brow-beaten into giving away the session extender to pre-orders based on a private comment to one guy while they were all probably high (I'm glad they did and will happily accept it but I feel it was a little unfair).

However, given the likelihood of a good long wait for their charger I might pick up a third-party charger unless I know why I really shouldn't.

When/where did they advise against using 3rd party/external chargers in general? When I emailed Trevor for the link to the recommended charger he didn't say anything about not using others.

@Just Justin
What's up with that review site of yours?

Do you mean you don't have the new URL that was posted 2 pages back or you can't see the pictures which Justin said he was working on fixing on the page after that? Or do you mean something else?

Hi,

I've been lurking this forum ever since the first unit arrived and I'm now addicted to reading every new post about the GH. Thanks a lot for the review!

I noticed that the missing images are just linked to the old domain, so I made a script to correct them.
Pasting this in your javascript console (Ctrl-Shift-I) the images and image links will be fixed.
Code:
(function(){function callback(){(function($){var jQuery=$;$("img").each(function() {s = jQuery(this).attr("src");s = s.replace("keepsitrealreviews", "radvapereviews");jQuery(this).attr("src", s);});$("a").each(function() {s = jQuery(this).attr("href");s = s.replace("keepsitrealreviews", "radvapereviews");jQuery(this).attr("href", s);})})(jQuery.noConflict(true))}var s=document.createElement("script");s.src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js";if(s.addEventListener){s.addEventListener("load",callback,false)}else if(s.readyState){s.onreadystatechange=callback}document.body.appendChild(s);})()

Hope this helps for now :)

Does GH not have their very own business for the last year-and-a-half w/ a ton of orders and interest? What's with the sympathy-for-them/shame-on-us theme lately? (it hasn't just been new troll guy) The "private comment to one guy" was actually to Buzz, who included it in his pre-review which got a LOT of information to people who really wanted it, and generated many pre-orders. I know the days before an update get a little weird as hope&patience are measured against how little we actually know about what happens next (and yeah, this's my contribution), but I'd greatly prefer silence over filling the void w negative characterizations of the company and it's most dedicated customer base. Also, for long term usefullness, can we start a new Grasshopper User's thread after the first 1000 units are delivered?

Is your hopper on the way? Or did you just pre-pay? That was very kind of you, btw.
No, not on the way yet. :(
I am a holiday backer, and when I upgraded my order to titanium last week, I told Trevor he could add 5 bucks to help offset the cost of the session extender. He did, and seemed pretty thankful.
He also informed me that the s/s cases should arrive in time to ship with my order, and that he's extremely confident there will be no problems getting it out internationally. (Canada for me). Eh.

Can you please confirm if you got the proper charging ring/charger with the unit or without a charger and you had to buy an aftermarket charger?

Im trying to guage if they finally got their pcbs in from china and finally sent out the new charger.

Thanks!
