Concerning batteries...I would recommend Samsung 25Rs. You won't find them cheaper than here. Reputable seller also. Beware -- fakes do exist, and you don't want to fuck around with battery safety.

Personally, I have and love the Luc V4 charger. I have also heard great things about the Nitecore.
This is a great price. I had just ordered the VapPower 2500 or I would get the Samsung. I'm trying to decide whether to get a charger or try the Haze. The Haze charger is not supposed to be used with any other batteries but others have used it so...

Maybe it's safe. Maybe it's not. You'll know if it blows up. Seriously, man, these batteries can be incredibly dangerous if misused. Err on the side of caution. That charger I linked is $25 and it's an excellent charger. What's a life or limb worth?

Plus, it's a 4-bay charger, and you will definitely want four batteries at least. One set rolling and another charged and ready to go.

Oh boy, I think I am on that list but unfortunately budget is very limited at the moment and grasshopper is top priority. :ugh: I hope international orders will be back in schedule by the time I am ready for this baby… :)

Thank you. When I was caving and working with custom built headlamps, I was up on all the latest battery and LED technology. But that was a few years back, so it is nice to order those batteries with one click instead of having to go study up on it since I never used IMR for those applications.

So the race is on. Will my extra batteries arrive before or after my Zion? Seriously can't wait until the mail truck pulls into the driveway in the near future.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the design of the Zion is such that it would be unlikely that blown-back water would cause a short, no?

That is correct. Only a solid stainless heater separated by mica and the two bare wires leading to it reside in the heater cavity An intermittent short caused by the water is acceptable as we short the entire heater in the manufacturing process as part of a trade secret process. My concern was the glass cracking under the rapid temperature change. With a fresh set of batteries a unit was set on high heat for 60 seconds and a 1/2 teaspoon of water was introduced with no issues. Power button was depressed for the entire test. The unit provided a steamy draw shortly after.

Very impressive! I dont know many vaporizers that can handle that. The simple design yet complex process of the Zion heater is so interesting, extensive testing that thinks of everything, and it can handle it all. So cool and exciting, very glad to be a part of the start of this wonderful product and company

@RastaBuddhaTao Are you still expecting your glass guy to make some cool stems? I ask because I see Joda will be releasing some soon thru Randy and PIU so he may want to send some links or something or he'll be "the other guy"... ;)
To be honest I've been kinda waiting for something Jodamade that satisfied a need I had. This is likely it. :)

What exactly does blow up mean? The ones I bought were recommended by someone a page back and have been used with the Zion I think so hopefully will be ok. The charger I will probably buy.

I always get a little nervous about batteries selling for half (or less than) what they normally sell for, tho I do occasionally buy them, especially for my phone. I probably shouldn't especially for something in my pocket.

I know I won't be sending a dime of my money their way. Nor would I send a penny for the honor of beta testing their product.

The lack of professionalism has made me completely uninterested in the product.

And the more that certain posters advertise the product, the less and less interested I am.

I guess a "good" double entendre might make for a good laugh for some people, but ... I guess I just find it crude and unprofessional.

I'd hate to think that my negativity would be deleted because it wasn't positivity.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. One of the great things about this place.

No one is forcing you to read the thread. You are welcome to your opinion, free speech and all but if it is that offensive and not professional enough for you why do you keep coming back? There are hundreds of other vapes for your vaping pleasure and threads for your reading pleasure.

Gee, I don't know. I guess because I like to keep the credibility of FC where I remember it being.

And apparently I'm NOT welcome to my opinion, since a post of mine was recently deleted. Notice how I'm not commenting on it - just stating a fact.

I keep coming back because I don't like the direction this thread has taken, and I care about FC.

I keep coming back because rules broken in this thread are not tolerated in other threads, and I find it unfair.

If you don't like my opinion, feel free to not comment on it.

You are an impartial beta tester, right? You don't have any stake in the company, right? So why should you care?

Maybe my 2 and 1/2 years on FC don't mean anything to your half year?

You restated your opinion to conform to the rules and it is up there for everyone to read. It would have earned most people a point so you are right, sometimes the rules are enforced differently.

This discussion is flirting with breaking the rules. You have already expressed your opinion of the thread to me in PMs, and as you are well aware, public discussion is not permitted. I would remind everyone that commenting on the posting style and personality of another member is bad form and has a high risk of earning a warning point. Stick to the topic, please.

@DieHard, I figured that out just by reading the post. The sig just confirms. Since you asked... Am I impartial? Prob not... RBT is a friend. We ice fish together. Do I have any skin in the game? Other than getting a free vape not a damn thing. I have however put 100's of hours on these heaters so that should count for something... and no your 2.5 years do not mean jack to me.

I find it interesting that this post was allowed to stay.

But other posts were deleted.

Guess the Mods know better than I do...
