Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

Its basically the same as 05. Except they got rid of the plastic around the heater (people were complaining about melted plastic in 05 when it first came out). Essentially its what the 05 should've been.
That's why I did not buy one or suggest it. Waiting to read more about the 06. And to be honest, I will order from Puffitup if he decides to carry the new one. I don't want any funny games

Pulse extraction? What exactly does that mean and how does it effect extraction? Why is there no mention of it on the website? I used both the 05 and 06 and found no difference.

One other thing they changed is that they covered the lights and now appear less bright.
Yes that is true and can be said....this is primarily true because the difference is more operational in nature...... hardware is the same except for the boost button and user involvement....

I'm a bit surprised that you didn't like the 06 over the 05....yes it is true that they are basically the same except that the 06 can operationally be boosted which will afford the user the opportunity to better tailor their inhalation.... I sorta see it as recognizing the benefit of the FireFly but with a bit of a hybrid flare that Inhalater has become known for.....

The 06 can preheat things just below vaporizing so that.....when the user is ready to begin their draw they will play a very active role in creating their inhalation......ex:
1. how long you decide to depress the boost button - will either produce thin fluffy vapor or much longer likely creating thicker denser vapor
2. users at say a party might want to depress the booster for a period of time before they begin their draw - you might be looking to find a water defuse {bong}
3. now lets say your at the movies or some place were a much less detectable vapor is called for... a very short boost... with a nice long draw time - should produce very thin vapor

Yes those other things have also been addressed but it is operationally that will make you notice the main difference between them......IMO

I too have a couple 06's {his/hers} due to arrive next week sometime.... so I will be able to report if this boost feature is as awesome as it is supposed to be......:peace:

Boost? Theres a boost button? I don't know man I'm starting to think we're talking about two different vaporizers. The one I tried had only the two differences I mentioned (no plastic around the oven and the lights were less bright). No boost button. Again, why is this information not available n their website?

To me they performed exactly the same. Could I maybe have tried a revised inhalater 05 with the same wrapping as that for the 06? Because the one I tried looked exactly the same as in the pictures. Lol, I don't know I'm confused, but I have a feeling its the 06. I guess we'll see.

I asked I had this answer :
Pulse Heating Trigger allow for more control over heating process makes the inhalater more responsive and adapts to your own inhaling rhythm. No more slow burn
Also New and fresh vapor is generated for each individual hoot...
and finally it is the contrast in temperature each time the trigger is activated for a puff that allow for ticker vapor cloud at lower temp. setting

I'm not exactly sure what that means.

It is very slick actually because the switch or button is the Inhalater logo sticker itself....so if no one told you it was there..... it absolutely would seem like there was very little difference..... by squeezing or depressing the logo you activate the boost and thus begin playing a more active role in creating your vapor preference....

I'm assured we will love it..... I too am looking forward to checking it out....:peace:

I am anxiously awaiting your guys input on the 06 because im ready to grab one but the 05s keeps saying im good for now;)

Your WTA arrived a few minutes ago SWG :)
Thanks for including that capsule too! unexpected double bonus.

The irony is that the INH Massdrop I joined has been delayed because the capsules weren't up to standard in some way.
Still, at least I'll have plenty when it finally gets here :)

Many thanks SWG, you're a gent'.

The Hygenic tips:

What are those things made out of. I'm wondering what is the best way of recovering the resin from the plastic hygenic tips? Can you ISO soak them, or scrape them? Frozen or room temperature? any and all opinions/experiences much appreciated.

I just scrape them myself..... it doesn't get all of it completely but if you reuse them they begin collecting new resin in no time so it's just a routine after while.....tube looking a bit full...scrape it out and start a new batch collecting.....
Remember it doesn't take much of a piece and roll it in your ground up herb.... OH boy your in for a treat.. so clean and pure.... Enjoy.....:peace:

Thanks Old School. Checked out a quick swab last night. Very sweet!

Think I'm going to move to use the glass capsules and reclaim the oil in ISO as part of a long term plan to make some oil.

But, I've not had great success with the glass tubes. Maybe I'm packing them too tight? I don't get a good draw, but maybe its just that the chamber is so much smaller. Anyone have any advice/experience with the glass tubes?

Once I switched to glass I rarely go back except for like you said the OG cap does hold more.... and as for individual use I think I'd like to be able to make load size even smaller.....

As far as technique using the glass caps.... without being there I would guess that your issue is likely with timing...... you see the glass is quite a bit thicker and doesn't transfer heat energy as well as the OG Polyimide caps do.... so what is needed is to give the unit more time {especially if it's not an "S" mod} to get through the glass and also in doing so you will be giving it more time to store up heat for the convectional rush into the chamber...when the magic begins...

So allow a bit more time when using glass.... too much time will ruin the flavor so you wish to find your own sweet spot {time between draws}.....Enjoy...:peace:

I just today received an email..... that our his & hers INH06's are in the postal system... with an expected date of arrival being the 19th.....
Looking forward to playing with this Boost button methodology.... I will be posting my thoughts a few days afterwards.....
Their not going to be "S" mods unfortunately but I will try to forgive that and remain objective....

I'm still metaphorically kicking myself for selling the 05s, in anticipation of the 6... And still waiting. I almost expect the 6 to look like the Grasshopper at this point ;)

I'll be watching @Old School for a review, with baited breath (cause I like fishing :)

Shit inhalator won't turn on
Only had for 3 months
Been charging over night, this morning charging light still on, but won't turn on at all,
Is this the battery?
Edit: tried again, charging light still on but when unplugged is now working?

My GF and I have seen this behavior as far back as our very 1st XP.... not sure why it happens.. but basically it sits there overnight with the charge light on but in the morning its as though it didn't charge at all...like not at all..... now my GF thinks it has to do with it timing out a 10 min cycle and therefore left in a on condition {switch position} so she made a point to always turn it to the off position before putting it on the charger...another thing she felt very strongly about was to not operate the unit with USB charger attached and charging at the same time..... well in-spite all of her precautions {silly in my mind} it would still on occasion do this very thing..... spending all night looking like it was charging only to later discover it was still unable to fire up the unit.....

Something else I have noticed about this is you will need to disrupt the USB charger connection for better than 2 minutes I believe...few extra wouldn't hurt then it will begin charging again.....

I have tried to nail down a pattern.... something we might have done before retiring for the evening but I haven't been able to figure it out....primarily because it just doesn't happen often enough...

Bottom line is she'll be right as rain in about 6 hours....:peace:

Cool thanks
Glad it's not busted, or the battery, really like this thing
I only use Lebanese pollom so I use a long piece of cotton wool (as long as the tube) then sprinkle the length of it then fold it (roll it) up
This is the only vape I own where I don't have to stir

pollom is something like hard pressed kief I guess? Would be great to see a picture of the wool setup. Is the product inside the lug or outside? I suspect that keeping it outside will maximize the conduction capacity of the inhalater

Optimal vaporisation can be attained by distributing heat as evenly as possible into the medicine base
The best is to make it into kief like powder and mix it with a plant based material; fresh herbs or ABV. 1/3 kief to 2/3 herbs for will put you to sleep in under 15 min hahaha :-)

Has anyone tried the kief mix? And by the way Sensi stains have been giving me stellar results with my inhalater. Sensi Star particularly.

No inside the cotton wool, little bit like making a joint lol
Yes is sort of hard pressed kief, but mine is very crumbly
Sorry can't work out how to do pictures

Ok our package came in a day early so I've been using my new INH06 for a couple of days even took it to the beach last night...... I know that may sound like a bunch but really I've only run 3 or 4 caps through so my preliminary review is as follows......... if we have an Clint Eastwood fans out there this is going to be a short review of..... The Good the Bad & the Ugly....

Now I think most folks here know by now that I am a huge fan of this vaporizer.... so I will start with the "UGLY" which is this "huge" ugly switch sticking up off the side of the body..... I was immediately taken back to those USB nightmares with epoxy all over what used to be nicely machined port openings.... it isn't IMO that bad I guess....but it did take me back.....
I was expecting it to be a nice flat bubble switch...so I'm sure the shock of seeing this metal bar that looks to be secured or held on by the sticker.... so evolutionary looking it's so NOT.....

Now the "BAD" is a bit shorter of a list I suppose... we can NO longer replace the batteries on the fly and whats up with this light business..... Yes they did change the while from a rectangle to a smaller circle but the damn thing is back to being as bright as my Beta unit is.... so they made the opening a small circle but then returned the brightness back to full on......

So now the "GOOD" this thing kicks ass {I can't wait for an "S" mod} it allows us such flexibility and involvement in creating our inhalations ourselves...... and the results are killer..... Smokers seem to like it so far the few that got to try it before it ran out of juice.... {not gonna last at parties}
So many different things to try to adjust or alter ones inhalation....so much fun to learn and play with as well.... in fact its early yet but I think at this point I'm almost willing to forgive the UGLY ass button design..... so I will dream of an "s" model with a slicker button design for now..... :peace:
This is the only vape I own where I don't have to stir
I KNOW RIGHT..... I often forget about this...sorta take it for granted after awhile.....that is until a friend shows up with their PAX / PAX2 and I'm once again reminded how cool it is that I never have to dick around with that stirring gig.......

Argh - light is my nemesis! I used my original 5 as a flashlight till it got 'strategic' tape. Which kinda sucks when you want to see what's going on, you just don't want passing aircraft to see what's going on...

So do I go with the 6, or pick up a 5s from the classifieds? They probably won't ship to Canada anyways, so I'm screwed till I replace my passport - scuppered by the border goons...

So, do I go ahead with the 6? Or hold off for the next s mod?

Passing Aircraft..... Nice....
Anyway yeah I found it to be a tough call as well because like you I really enjoy and want to NOT lose the power the "S" mod brings to the experience.....
So I too wanted to wait for the INH06 "S" to come out... then I was still waiting.... and waiting still.... so it hit me..... buy the INH06 12.5w now check out what all the talk is about..... then when the INH06 "S" finally does make production buy those and sell the INH06's or even better.... to give them away as gifts of a healthier life style to family and loved ones.....

So there is a school of thought from Old School.....lol :peace::myday:

But I like it!
There was an old warehouse near where we lived last winter, and I walked past there with the dog most evenings. With the 5 and the full light I could light up an 8x12' patch on the white wall from 12 feet away - this with the unrestricted light on the 5. Then I tried a wrap of electrical tape - much darker, but in daytime you couldn't see any light activity at all. So a wee pinprick was enough to open it up for daylight viewing, and being kinda gentle with it meant the hole didn't deform larger to help with any nearby Search & Rescue operations at nighttime...

Anyways, it's really not a huge thing. But the 'metal bar held on by a sticker' doesn't sound particularly appealing either. From the photos online it looks pretty much the same as the previous model, so now I'll have to look at them a bit closer and see where this thing is hiding :)
