@growinsmoke check out the kiss alpha by w9tech. I just got mine today haven't tried it yet though.

What rda are you currently using. Also do you use RDX wick? @2clicker and some other members use an rda called the derringer its very small but looks nice. I tried the rda thing but I found it difficult to load my shatter and it doesn't hold much. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

No RXW now, but I have some on order. These little ones always seem to use a post in the center. Cheaper to make.

That looks like the A6 from about 3 years ago. I have one that I have used for concentrates but I bored the intake hole to about 1/16 but I want a larger deck to build with so I am using the I-GO L. I currently have a new build under construction. I will post some dirty photos to inspire true envy.

Hey fellow crazy tinkerers. Here's a link to my most recent setup. It's am 18650 fuhattan mod (although the pics are on my aspire cf sub ohm) with a vengeance rda. Stovetop coil under a vertical cylinder @ 0.2 ohms. Check the pics. I'd love feedback/pointers

Cool, so just a coil and no wick? How does this hold the oil? wouldnt it just run right off the wire? How does the deck look after several uses?

Yep no wick :-) used to just dab onto my nic setup, dual coils with cotton wicks, but found that the wicks were absorbing too much oil and getting really gummed up. So that was my solution. For those coils I used twisted 26 gauge to give the coil some texture and grip to help grab the oil. I generally just mash some oil into the top of that coil and that's it. The coils get so hot so fast virtually everything gets vaporized. I've been using this rig for a couple weeks and a few grams and the deck is beginning to yellow but not enough accumulation to reclaim yet. I'll note that I prefer using co2 oil or a nice thick shatter as the real gooey stuff can be difficult to load onto the coil

I preordered it on fasttech over a month ago for $50 and it took about a week to get here once it finally shipped.

Innokin claims their iTC will have temp control for all wire types. I'm thinking that could be great with the Yocan Exgo W4 atty as it uses a nichrome foil heating element. Yocans "nero" heating elements are really cool you should check em out if you haven't already.
Hey have you gotten a chance to try those nero heads yet? I've used em with the exgo v2 battery as well as on my 18650. What're ur thoughts?

i think i have decided on an evic vt. at first i was really put off on it due to its built in battery, but this one is 5000mah so should last twice as long as my samsungs.

what i do love about it is the size and features. its getting lots of great revies online and for $55... its worth a shot.

i know that in a week there will be a better device and that is still keeping me from pulling the trigger. dying to get a temp controlled device tho. i may just give this one a shot.

See, my main hangup right now is that I do not want a bigger deck, just one that is better laid out. With most of the RBAs, a single coil setup can only make use of half the deck. Getting a big deck and only using half of it bothers me a little, but that seems to be the easiest way to go.

The shop I bought mine from sells smoktech, so it's probably this:

The IGO-L looks like it has a big silicone grommet on the center post. Can it be removed/trimmed? It looks messy and I could imagine a coil coming in contact with it.

Yeah I've got a couple of exgo 4 attys and love the flavor at low wattages but wasn't really a fan on the mech mods. I was thinking once the innokin itc comes out i may grab it as it's supposed to have temp control for every type of wire on the market. Temp controlled nero coils would be a sweet little setup.

well i did it... i ordered the white one. so stoked. now where to get some nickel wire...?

the igo-w and igo-l both have removable post insulators. if you remove them tho you expose a well around the positive post that goes all the way down to the bottom of the 510 threads. honestly tho... these two attys were my go-to before I discovered the derringers. and the silicone insulators were never a problem. just keep you coil off the deck and they will never touch.

The derringers supposed to be great. I got one of those and a mutation x v4 on order from fast tech. They just got in a decent looking velocity rda clone too

Hmm that might b an improvement. I'm personally not a fan of the nero tech, though my wife likes it. I felt like it just doesn't get hot enough. So I tried it on my 18650 and burnt out 2 in a row lol

Yeah I just like the flavor it produces at low watts ... the clouds aren't very good. More of a sipping atty than a one hitter quitter.

I'll agree with u there. That's y my wife likes it. She's not a big smoker-relatively low tolerance for thc- but she likes the flavor she gets from the nero heads and it does the job for her. I've just been hell bent on getting the same quality hit off my mod that ud get from a torch& nail oil rig setup. So I was disappointed by the yocan but I'm close. my current setup is good but limits the amount of oil u can use per dab

Why not get titanium wire? The vt is programmed for either ni or ti right? I got my ni wire from some vape shop on ebay can't remember which one.

Okay, I did a sloppy bucket build after a couple of fails with a ceramic cup from a CE2 cartridge from an ecig The photos are located HERE. It is not perfect but it does work well. All the reclaim is from earlier use, not this build....the failed ceramic cup builds. I will perfect this one just gotta work it further. This bucket build is slanted for two reasons in my head, easier to fill and more likely to pick up what might dribble out of the bottom. So far both assumptions are spot on. Yes that is an I-GO L, first generation. Now that I have bored the intake out to almost 1/4 I cannot use it as a dripper, it will live the rest of its life as a portable dab rig. Hana clone is powering the Igo. At 11 watts it is very nice but I do have to pulse it still or I will cough, such a wuss.

@dUbmethod20- it's 26 ga, came out to 1.0 ohms, I have no idea how many wraps, I followed the directions and used my intuition to determine how many wraps. I have been wrapping my own coils for some time, you kind of get a feel for how many wraps you need no matter the build structure. I told you it was powered by a Hana clone. I keep the Sigelei for my ejuice.

ive actually already got a bit of grade 1 Ti wire. I attempted to use it on a mech and a 30w vv/vw device only to see it get far too hot. basically if the coil is submerged in ejuice it wont get hot enough to oxidize, but when dabbing it certainly will. in this case... or at least mine, i found that the Ti wire i have gets glowing hot quickly and oxidizes like crazy. leaves all kinds of colors, but mostly yellow. anyway, im not even gonna try to vape with that wire until i get to experiment w/ it and the evic. i also want to try nickel tho.
