All,

With the recent success with the Beta testers and the first of the Zion 10 out we are happy to open the web store for pre-orders. We will begin shipping units in 12 - 16 weeks with at a run rate of 25 per week initially so order soon to avoid a longer wait.

The initial wait list of Zion 100 emails will be used to determine the order of the first 100 units to ensure our early supporters get theirs first.

This will be the only advertisement for the next few weeks as we have so enjoyed the experience here at FC we want as many of the initial units delivered to our FC family as possible.

Thanks to all for your support on this project and welcome the Rastabuddhatao nation!

@Stu which would you say fits more snug the eq elb or the small vapexhale brand or are they basically the same thing.
The EQ elbow screen is made to fit the inside of the EQ elbow. The VapeXhale ELBs have a cap that makes it a two-part gizmo (I forget the technical term).

I don't have a Zion, so I can't comment about the snugness of either ELBs or EQ elbow screens. At the end of the day however, it is actually the inner diameter of the glass joint that is the greatest variable in the equation IMO. Maybe Pak or Sticks can provide more insight here as to what fits better.

Yeah I got the mail as well, including all of your email addys and even some full names...
Oops! Yep.

@RastaBuddhaTao - I think you should probably add e-mail addresses to the 'bcc' (blind carbon copy) field in any future correspondence to ensure everyone can't see all of your recipients e-mail addresses.

That's really great news regarding opening for pre-orders though

This thing is definitely gathering momentum!

Yes, you all have my complete full name now.

I'm just going to believe that if I cannot trust the 100 people on the sharpest cutting edge of cannabis and mmj vaping, who can I trust?

So you guys are forgiven without a second thought about it.

Everyone's cool, right? Right! Cool. Ok. Now let's move on.

I am so excited to discover which of the 10 I will receive. I spend a lot of time out at the community garden and will be riding my tricycle a lot more this summer now, so I really do need a high performance vape for on the go.

Sorry for forgetting the BCC all... If we do more mailings in the future we will not let it happen again. I do hope that it is somewhat reassuring that it was only 100 or your closest FC friends... and they obviously are super smart because they wait listed themselves for the Zion :)

All, please delete the email as it was only an indicator that the store is open on Rastabuddhatao.com.

Thanks!

I don't have an ELB but both the Arizer elbow screen and the ELB are meant to fit into standard 18mm connectors. Glass and screens being what they are, there is some variability among screens, stems, and connectors, so some combinations will be more snug than others. The elbow screens I use are snug enough in most of the stems and connectors I have, but in some of them the screen will fall out if inverted. I don't believe you can say that ELBs will fit more snugly than elbow screens or vice-versa. The variability is individual, not universal to one or the other.

Let me emphasize again that you don't need either of them, they're just options that some might like. The stock Zion screen works well and is more flexible. Both the ELBs and the elbow screens can't be adjusted since they are rimmed, so the distance to the load is fixed. The elbow screen has a small load size (~.15 g tightly packed) and holds the load close to the heater. The ELB is comparatively huge (I don't know its capacity, ask sticks) but unless it is completely filled the load is further away from the heater. The Zion stock screen can be moved inside the stem/connector to vary the heater distance, and is therefore more flexible. My testing shows that heater distance makes a difference.

I get that a lot of folks like to use this type of device, but I have always been nervous about putting water ABOVE electronics. I'm sure it isn't a problem if you are careful, but we ARE talking about stoned people.

Variety and spice and all that...

In fact some water has been accidentally blown back into Courtney, which emitted a loud steamy hiss of complaint. Shook the visible water out of the adapter, dabbed the moisture off the elb but left the moistened contents alone and continued testing. 3rd or 4th pull on high temp and we were up and running again. Kinda extra smooth for a couple rounds too.

So yeah...she swallows.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the design of the Zion is such that it would be unlikely that blown-back water would cause a short, no?
