So first impressions:

EXCEPTIONAL build quality. Even better than my Storz & Bickel products...this just feels remarkably solid and well-built. I've owned lots of portables (MFLB, Thermovape T1, PAX, Crafty to name a few) but this just blows the rest out of the water. I have the stainless model, it's heavy in a good way.

It's shorter than I thought; it's actually shorter than most of my actual (writing) pens.

It heats up absurdly fast and the temp dial is amazing!

Some criticisms:

The unit, especially the mouthpiece gets very hot with extended use....I think the best technique to use this would be to pulse the switch off/on during a session to allow it to cool. Since it's actually convection the herbs stop cooking when it shuts off if you don't draw. The silicon mouthpiece is a definite must, otherwise it's uncomfortable to use when it gets this hot. THAT SAID, it does seem to cool off very quickly. Again, I only have the stainless model (perhaps I should have gone Ti...)

I'm very, very happy though overall.

That's funny because I was thinking of buying a crafty to scratch my itch while I wait, how would you compare the flavor of the grasshopper flavor to the crafty? Does it retain flavor though the bowl or does it have the "tic tac effect" like the Pax (tic tac effect: How Tic Tacs have that first initial flavor which (I at least) enjoy more than the actual flavor. It's how I describe terpene denigration through the session, if there's an actual term for that I'm happy to learn

Faint glimmers of hope...I love my Crafty. The vapor can't be as cool...or can it???

It's definitely hotter and harsher than Crafty, but the instant-warm up and better battery life and portability really do it for me. HOWEVER, vapor on the lowest temp settings is very smooth (and nearly invisible!). What I love is you can go between thin, stealthy vapor or thick, fat clouds at the touch of a dial. It's truly remarkable, and I think this represents a new bar for portable vaporizer tech. I've owned a looot of portable vapes, this is just on a whole new level. I'm so happy it's everything I had hoped it would be - I had been watching this since it was called the "Zenpen" back in 2013. I've always had faith in these guys, they're extremely busy and have pulled off an incredible feat of engineering.

Sorry if answered already, but did the mouth piece cover/condom come with it??

So this is a little weird, I'm waiting to hear back from Trevor regarding this one. Not sure but I hope so!

What's your serial number or did they end up not doing that?

If that is a magic mouse (which I'm also using right now), then that is a bit shorter than I was expecting. Congrats and enjoy!

You need to post a video, @midgetsanchez.
Did you get the ss case?
Can you show a picture of the area that serial number is?
Congrats. I'm a holiday backer too, kinda wish I had taken them up on that offer to get it early. :(

I like to call that the "bazooka joe" effect, after the crappy bubble gum.

I've noticed the back feels very solid; the clicking mechanism feels reliable and requires a strong push (I guess it's good cause it's unlikely to get pressed accidentally), although it does make an audible click. I like that it auto-shuts off too in case it were left on or something.

Is it possible to do temperature adjustment in the dark/without looking? I know with my Solo I can easily adjust it in the dark by counting how many times I press the button.

I assume you could turn it to the left or right lock and back it off from there.

For the clicking mechanism, is the strong push required uncomfortable?

why the desire for serial number? lol I don't get it, doesn't really do or mean all that much lol

@midgetsanchez you say it gets hot with extended use, is that even with turning off and on for subsequent hits? Or taking a hit and turning it off in between enough to keep it relatively cool?

Tanks for being awesome and lucky and umm oh awesome

Not at all, but it very audible click.

I'm not following, is that a 'yes, the condom came with it' or no...?

Thx, & congrats pal.

Mine came with one, although I had specifically requested it (I had to pay $5 for it). HOWEVER, today I got a refund for $5...not sure why? It could mean that maybe they changed their mind and decided to include it. Again, I'm not 100% sure but I'll update once they get back to me. In my opinion the hopper should come with it included.

The temp settings are cut/etched into the dial so you can rub your fingernail over and feel them, so you can set your temp in the dark. It might take a bit of practice to get quick with it though.

My guess is they forgot they told Buzz they were including it until they were (loudly) reminded of it.

If you have the case I'd love to know how well it keeps the smell in if you have a loaded hopper and some extra in the stash compartment.

If it gets pretty hot, I'd say most people will want that option.

Obviously, the Grasshopper team can increase the retail sales price sufficiently to make a decent profit including the mouthpiece, but I do feel that it should be included for pre-sales. I understand that costs have increased more than expected, but that's hardly our fault.

In fact, I'd like to think that it was the additional funds from the pre-orders that helped make this moment possible. It would be a very decent gesture on their part to include it gratis.
