Underdog Log Vapes

I happened to be lucky enough to have @underdog and @underdogette hook me up with the mini Chinese pistache dogg. I couldn't have ever imagined it was going to look that good!! I was a bit stuck between the olive wood and the chinese pistache. I'm sure both would have turned out beautiful, but I'm glad I went chinese pistache. Thank you guys for the awesome dog and I really appreciate all the help along the way.

I was in the middle of a busy 13 hrs day at work when I got the email with the sneak peak picture. It couldn't have been better timing, what better motivation than a picture the new mini dog.

Can't wait to get the new dog home and try it out.

Thanks again

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Whenever I use my VVPS' I always flashback to growing up and playing with my father and our train collection. Mainly it has to do with the locomotive's transformers, very similar to a VVPS, but not quite the same. I remember it being so much fun researching, assembling, troubleshooting, and then finally watching your masterpiece creations and purchases chug and puff along. I guess it's easy to see that I loved clouds even as a child. Two of my favorites were the Southern Pacific and Texas & Pacific. Here is a quick history on how these two are related: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_and_Pacific_Railway
The Southern Pacific locomotives we owned were blue and yellow, as well as an orange/red & silver and were Santa Fe passenger trains IIRC, with a more rounded almost shuttle like appearance. The Texas & Pacific (pictured below) was my favorite, as well as my father's favorite too. It's more of a traditional style locomotive, very sharp and intricate details to boot.

A little nostalgia for all you Dog lovers...

Ok, just sent you a PM. We're going to get you taken care of.
It's one of the main reasons I got me a dog. The service is the best anywhere! and that makes us dog owners feel good knowing we have a vet we can trust when the dog's sick.
Wow, and it only took Underdogette 8 minutes to respond to Vicki's post. Sadly, most retailers would never respond back unless PM'ed first. You guys rock.

This too shall PAX...
I am absolutely in love with my pup! This Afzelia Burl is crazy beautiful, but damn if I don't NEED one of those Chinese Pistache pieces... Gorgeous!!!

@underdog and @underdogette are fantastic and if the first 399 pages haven't sold you yet, and the last two pages haven't convinced you on investing in this piece of art you will be missing out, I promise you. Page 400 and worth every compliment. A+

Took the dog for a walk today and gave it a good buttering. Here is a collage of all 4 sides:

Wow, that is gorgeous!! Thank you! I can't wait to use it for the first time. :D You guys are awesome for doing this for me so quickly, especially when UnderDog has an injured paw.

I packed up the old black walnut a couple hours ago, and I'll be running it to the post office tomorrow. I'm going to send it 2-Day Priority, so I'm hoping you have it by Tuesday. I'll get you a tracking number tomorrow, and the receipt will have that info.

Awesome, thanks for that, we don't get that many failures (other than power supplies) so I'm curious to find out what went out in the original.

We'll put the new Pup in the mail tomorrow and will send the standard tracking email, etc.

I just got back from the post office, and PM'd you tracking. USPS says it will be there Wednesday. :)

I'm also wondering what went wrong myself. I'm glad I have an AromaDog, and was able to troubleshoot with it, and its cords.

Is it possible to get a regular sized dog (such as a bullet) and mini dog from the same blank or is that not enough wood?

Seems like it would be cool to have a regular dog and a little mini pup that match each other.

If the blank is large enough you can, I just had two standard UD's turned from a single blank supplied by @Snappo. I was going to get a regular and a mini as well but changed my mind after my communications with UD.

Hello. I'm sure my questions must've been answered somewhere in this thread, but forgive me because it's difficult to search through such a long thread.

I was going to email customer service about these questions, but I figured it would be more efficient, and easier on them, if I just post it here.

For those that are savvy with electricity:
1) Can you please tell me if you see anything wrong with using the following DC voltage regulator with an underdog?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q48BRFO
It handles a wide range of input and output voltages and this is what it says about the current:
"Output Current: 2A(normal and stable), 3A Max. "

2) Can anyone tell me approximately how long an underdog will run on a 10,000mAh 12v battery?

Thanks!

Alright, your new pup is in the mail! They'll probably pass each other along the way. :) I got your message this morning confirming that you got the tracking email for it. Thanks for all your patience and help in this matter @Vicki!

Hi izzy,

1) I don't see anything wrong with using that board, it should do the job nicely and is cool that it has controls and a readout. You'll just want to make sure you get a power supply to drive it that is at least 1v+ higher than you'll want to use with your Dog since the board only steps down. A 15v or 18v power supply might be a good candidate, or one of our Econo-Dog power supplies. The current output is more than enough.

2) This one is really hard (ie not really possible) to answer without a lot more information unfortunately. To get a real answer you need all the data indicated in this online calculator (it has descriptions of what they mean): http://www.batterystuff.com/kb/tools/calculator-for-load-specific-run-time.html

Myself and quite a few users have had good luck with this battery pack (variable voltage built in too) combined with a set of quality Panasonic batteries and get 4-6 hrs of run time. Battery Pack on eBay

Hope this info is somewhat helpful! :peace:

I've been out of town and finally got to pick up my UD's at the post office today

UD really hooked it up with the discounts and freebies. I couldn't be happier with my order! Hopefully I'll get to take some pictures of the new dogs within the next week or so although I doubt I'll be able to get any pictures that do them justice.

@underdog and @underdogette Thanks for everything, I'll make sure to post a testimonial on your website

Oh man that is great to hear. I'm really excited now.

Mind me asking what made you stray away from the mini? Was it the simple fact that there was enough wood for a second full size dog?

A few things made me change my mind, one of them being the fact that I had enough wood for two and I didn't want to miss out on any of the blank. I was also told that a 3" mini would have a much longer lifespan than a 2" which was a huge determining factor. At that point I said what's the difference between a 3" and 4" so I chose the standard size. The shortest of the two actually ended up being 3.75" tall which 3"-4" is more than small enough for my vapor cabinet. I just wanted a mini for the novelty even though a standard unit suited my needs best. I'm sure a mini would've served me well but I'm glad that I chose two standard units.

Don't forget that the bigger the dog, the more wood there is to admire!

1) That will work. I use one and they are cheap too!
