I like to wipe what ever builds up on the end of my dabber (is it reclaim if its still on the dabber?) on the bottom of a concentrate screen and throw it in vapman on top of 2 other screens. Usually gives me 2 big hits.

Better than wiping it on a rag :)

Why's everyone using so many concentrate screens? 5 is surely superfluous? I use 2 and that works perfectly, even if you wanted to put loads of oil in there (which you dont need to) i think 2 would hold it fine.

Guys? @NorVape? How do you usually pack your hash in the vapman? One screen, two? How much do you use for a load? Could you post pics? I will do with the next load as well, promise… :D

Just received a nice little block after a week of scraping for reclaim in stems, grinders etc. and it seems like great days are lying ahead for more a couple of months! Long live the vapman and The Resin!!!:D:rockon::bowdown::luv::love::drool::freak:

Alright, I sandwich it as well. I use a small sharp tool to cut thin slices of hash and cover about 60-70% of the screen. The vapman is amazingly efficient with hash! Can't wait to get a heating station as well at one point!
I also cover a bit over half the screen with a thin layer, then put a screen on top.

This works best for me, too.

I have done the really liquidy stuff with 2 screens under/1 over, but it gets a little sticky anyway. Just use less the messier it is.

Man, I wish I lived somewhere with old history like that.

Where I live now, it's all new, fake, cardboard crap. :(

I actually put large loads (like a full crucible, I don't really use screens) in the bowl of very melty sticky bubble hash and find that yes, the vapman gets very gunked up, but so long as you clean it regularly this is no problem.

I would be in serious trouble without my steel guitar string to clean the inlet tubes though lol - those get clogged quickly with melty hashes.

@herbivore21 I've switched to using only one screen for any concentrates. And based on your suggestion, I've used black tar and kiefkief without a screen and prefer that now.
Glad to have inspired, my friend :)

Everyone should have a hashman handy! Remember everybody, if in doubt - hash it out.

Oops, to clarify my original vaked post was slightly misleading. I don't use no screens, I put the load of bubble into the crucible as you would a load of ground herb. Then I put 1 single screen on top. I find this is perfect for my needs and that smaller loads in the bottom 'dip' around the middle post of the crucible are best, since these seem to get most even heat distribution!

@killick I suggest you give this a shot with your vapman and kief :D

I need to try this without a screen now that I seem to have accidentally inspired it lol

Finally, the defective station arrived 10 minutes ago at our workshop. This for the ones wondering why we did not inform any further about the problem with the station. Now we have the opportunity to find out what went wrong. Good thing the faulty station is still working, I didn`t expect the heating cartridge still to be in tact, that could help finding the error easier. I let you know as soon we know more!

Thank you and kind regards,

vapman:)

OK, now some poeple should not be allowed to buy a vapman! :goon::rant::cuss:

A friend of mine literally Torched his vapman to death and broke one of the air tubes as well! :o :disgust:

No matter how much I explained to him how to use it, he ended torturing the poor thing. It used to be a beautiful Two-Toned Pear.

I had him send me the vapman and I did some major reconstructive surgery on it. I had to re-crimp (re-flange) two tubes and replace another one because he somehow broke it off... Notice the hole in the bowl next to the tube (on the right hand tube) in the 1st pic. I also cleaned the crucible the best I could and straightened out the springs.

Oh, even the middle section was cracked from being burnt excessively.

There's just no need to overheat a vapman in this way. I have not seen another one this bad...

I know accidents happen, but my buddy just brutalized the hell out of this vapman. It was so "charcoalized" that I almost could not fix it.

I told him that if he messes it up again, to just tell me someone stole it from him.

Here are the before and after pics (notice that the inside of the body is Really Wide now, and I could not make it perfectly round). Oh, and these pics are After I already scraped quite a bit of charcoal from the inside of the body!

I almost told him he was not getting it back! hahaha

Nice work!

But I like it!
Ye gods - did he get the special 'hammer' style torch lighter? Possibly your friend is blind and his dog was heating this for him? Or maybe he missed the station so much he tried heating it on the ring of his stove?

Give it back, but pin a medal to it, for 'service above and beyond' :)

Lighters are for girls. He was using his gas stovetop...without a glove.
