@CarolKing is correct. The new thread will be started once they are actually shipping production Grasshoppers. Pre-production review units don't count.

I also want to emphasize that we don't want the new thread clogged up with "I got my tracking number" "When will it arrive" "How long did it take" posts. We have a Grasshopper Shipping Poll thread and you can go wild in it about shipping.

FWIW - the "silicon session extender" was a $5 add on, I believe all customers will have the option to add this when they re-confirm their address just prior to shipping, it will be available on the website as well as a separate purchase

Full details of my order:
Stainless grasshopper
stainless case
silicon session extender
Extra battery

As previously mentioned the recommended 3rd party charger is the Tenergy TN270

I did inquire about getting a free battery but was told "At the $99 price that indiegogo backers paid we just cannot offer a free battery. The pre-order people paid a higher price which is allowing us to offer them this for the delay. I realize this seems unfair, but we are doing our best to satisfy who we can at the moment. Indiegogo backers will enjoy additional benefits in the future so don't think we forgot about you! "

I wasn't particularly satisfied with this response given the original backers had to wait SIGNIFICANTLY longer, not to mention the battery life is not quite what was initially promised making a spare battery a necessity but it is what it is, excited to get my hands on it.

Unfortunately I am leaving on a camping trip on Tuesday so I will not be able to provide a BuzzDankin level of coverage but I do hope to post some pics prior to leaving

I thought it said somewhere it came with hoppers... what are they going to send every1 a $5 paypal invoice...?

I guess I understand making it an add-on but at this point? a little silly and should be on ordering screen (and given to all of us)

$5 seems like a lot to include something im sure cost them .25 cents or less to make. At best they should be selling them at cost because of the need for it. NOT as an added accessory or luxury item. Just because it happens to fit water pipe adaptors doesnt mean everyone will use it in such a way.

These should be included for waiting 2 years.

Yes, we were told that it would be included free. So, now my Grasshopper will not fit in the bubblers I already purchased unless I pay an additional $5?

Yeah this is a valid complaint unlike some in this thread, a 25 cent plastic tip should come standard, I get charging for extras....but at least give one.

I think baltik paid 5$ during the igg campaign. But since then, the silicone mouthpiece has been confirmed free /included.

I'll believe it when I get mine.

You know, what is really ironic here is that I'd frankly be much better off with the Silicon piece so I could use my Grasshopper with my Bubblers than an extra battery. I mean, it already comes with a battery. It would have been nice to have a spare, but not a necessity.

On the other hand, given the short vapor path, the ability to use a bubbler is a big deal.

I'll bet a lot of people have been counting on that all along, and some, like me, have already spent $$$ on bubblers in preparation. We've waited months for the chance to use them. And now this.

It's basically extortion, if true. They figure we'll all cough up the extra $5 because it's the "least bad" option at this point. I'll say it again: what a bunch of jerks! :mad::cuss::rant::bang:

If you think about it, it's kind of a "no brainer" that you'd want the option to have a mouthpiece between your lips and that bare metal. I mean, it's cute that it looks like a pen, but most "pens" don't have ovens inside them which heat up to 410 degrees....

If they hadn't originally offered to include it for free, I doubt I would have pre-ordered mine. But now that I've spent the last 2 months of my life waiting and preparing for that thing...this is really annoying. I am seriously considering canceling my order at this point.
