I've been looking at the GH, on demand only, $135-ish, titanium, I want one yesterday - trouble is I have zero patience. I have the Pax original, not bad but erratic as hell (won't turn on off charge sometimes), and smells ways more than the S&B vapes.

Sitting here on FC, day off, and playing with Mighty variations (even that sounds cool). Right now, I'm putting in a small amt. (don't have a scale, but the smallest pinch my thumb and index finger are capable of picking up), at a fine grind, using the pad, going first at 365 F for 2 or 3 hits, then 410 for another 2 or 3. I can pace myself (it seems), without ripping through two dubes worth of material.

I have a Mighty battery question?

Will using it while charging shorten battery life?
Is it better to use it down to low, or drain completely, or keep topped off while using?

I've been trying to top off (not the phone charging strategy).

Thanks in advance, and sorry for all the q's....

Thanks. Can anyone chime in who has sent it to Oakland in the US if we get new or refurbished replacements. Debating on how long to wait to send it in. Performance is down and it REALLY struggles to reach, and never stays at, max temp. No cosmetic issues yet though (been babying it like crazy).

I just returned a Crafty and got a 16000 Mighty series upgrade for $30, from Oakland. I spoke with them on the phone several times, and turn around time was under 2 weeks.

Anyone have direct contact info for Oakland? I'm not having any luck with getting someone on the phone with whatever number I've got, I think it's their international call line maybe.

On demand v. session is a personal choice. I think there's a place for each. I believe the GH is gonna be great (and efficient)! But I agree there's always a place for immediate gratification.

And I have found the pax 2 is a huge improvement over the pax 1. Regarding smell (which I have not found, but don't go by me), Ratchett has made caps for the pax 2 that basically eliminates smell when not in use.

It's the number on the back of the pricelist...it doesnt seem to have around the clock service though.

mine has already cracked again at the improved area so there is still room for improvement!
Damn, I guess I'll stick to my broken unit as long as the CU makes a good seal with the heater and it doesn't fall apart... Broken top fins or broken locking mechanism?

I've noticed the temp meter is more sensitive, it fluctuates around the set temp rather than just staying there.
It seems S&B finally replaced the mighty's two-set-point controller with the simplier controller from the crafty. This should resolve the vibrating problem even on empty batteries.

One thing I realized is Ive never researched on the best breathing/inhaling techniques when vaporizing. What type of ways do you guys use? as in, how long draws do you take and how long do you hold your breath after inhaling? I always take big draws out of my Mighty and then try to hold them in for as long as possible, even though Ive read that holding smoke in your lungs for longer than a few s
econds makes no difference. Not sure if it applies for vapor, though. But yeah, would be interested in your habits and also if anyone as any knowledge as to whats the best way to take the draws, inhale, exhale and whatnot.
There are some threads and discussions about this here on the forum. Try the L.I.T. (@lwien inhalation technique). I normally re-breath one hit several times before exhaling completely. Better absorption rate and so on. http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/are-clouds-of-vapor-counterproductive.18198/

Did a quick search and although a few people seem to have asked about it doesn't seem like anyone has actually tried it.
So has anyone tried making hot chocolate with their CU is it safe to put in hot milk?
I'm hoping so given the high grade plastic but not sure I'm up for risking it until I pick up another CU!
I used to do it with my mflb stem and that used to come out perfectly clean so hoping it might also work with the mighty and save any need for ISO
Since the S&B materials are inert give it a try. I did, but I didn't enjoy. I don't like the taste anyway, and it's a mess. Milk isn't such a good solvent for reclaiming, better reclaim with everclear and make your hot chocolate after evaporating the alcohol. You can do the whole process in one single glass without scrapping or so. And the CU stays free from milk.

its the top fins that broke again barely noticeable just a crack ill have to post a pic at some point .

I'm definitely more concerned about the plastic ridging where the cooling unit attaches. The extra thickness they have added there really looks like it will be a great change.

Do you notice where your battery level is when the screen goes dark? I have the same issue going on, and have found that when the battery is freshly charged and I turn it on, the screen will work. When I am down two or three bars, the screen almost never turns on right away when I power up the mighty.

For reference, I bought my mighty in Oct of 2014 and have a unit in the 300 range.
The screen never lights up. I tried charging it. Still no dice.

Has anyone been charged for ordered parts (wear and tear kits, chargers, ect) when placing requests with a exchange unit? And if so when do they charge you? I have my eye on a car adapter and it ain't that expensive

I bought a car charger on my latest return and had to pay full price.

-my top fins have broken too, basically I just wanted to look where this fins are, put my finger slightly on it and.. "crack"
-my 3D-Logo-Seal of the CU doesn't work properly anymore (using the same CU for 3 months multiple times daily), you have to press to keep air-intake on a low.
-I rarely get the error when there's no °C but only numbers, can't chose temperature, have to turn on/of 2-3 times.
Serial nr is 0027xx

Recently I let my mighty at home and visited my mum where my volcano and solo still hang around in the basement room, Let me tell you one: The solo stem is fucking huge after going mighty-only for 3 months, it feels so oversized, like brushing teeth with two brushes at once. Def need to get one of those Air stems. Missed my mighty, don't want it to be send in for now ...

I have too many vapes I don't use. The Mighty makes it hard to use ANYTHING else. Taste, feel, power, I always get frustrated with other vapes (go unmentioned, I'm sure there are plenty getting great results), but I seem to be a Might guy in the end. Zero frustration. That's worth a lot.

See that's where we differ...my pax2 gets used the most and the solo gets used 2nd most, the mighty gets 3rd and the crafty 4th...They each get used every day though...the mighty is just the icing on the cake, tastes the best, but better when used sparingly...
when I DID use my mighty exclusively it started to fall apart and I stopped enjoying it AS much (but the mighty is still my favorite)
...We'll see how I feel when it's gone for repair

Volcano Digital -> sold, just after falling in love with the mighty

MFLB -> Borrowed to a friend who is still combusting but saving money for a mighty right now. MFLB is collecting dust in his house.

Solo -> nice backup just in case I need one. But where did I box it up?

Minivap -> nice when it works. I'm not going to elaborate on this...

Crafty -> I wanted a portable. But I got a plugged-in, since it's plugged in the whole day. Charging time is annoying.

Mighty -> One love...

I know the pax 2 probably wouldn't fit my needs, too. But I have to adapt since people are literally starring at me when I use the mighty outside of the house. The crafty would fit in my hand, but battery life... ( I already have a 7200mah battery pack)

Edit: I never understood why people are collecting vapes when I first discovered this forum. But I learned there is a vape for every occasion and purpose. Thanks to you all I feel in the need to try them all...

I'm trying to find that other vape that doesn't disappoint. I'm playing hard with the SV, some great results, some not so great. I'd love to throw my Plenty in the mix, but honestly, it barrels through material. I want to use the Mighty sparingly and baby it, but I keep coming back to it when getting frustrated.

I'm considering a Pax2, but just can't swing another unit right now, need to save some $$$ for the actual material (without which, there's no point :) ).

When installing or removing the cooling unit, I press down a bit into the o-ring to relieve pressure on the plastic in that area.

That's exactly what I do as well.

I could see stress coming into the picture if there were no downward force applied. But with just a little pressure, I'd have to imagine nearly all the stress is relieved.

Just wondering, have you ever tried pushing down on the CU when removing it? Seems like it would relieve most of the stress.

This doesn't prevent the top fins from breaking, it can even stress them more. What you are doing is only relieving stress from the locking mechanism (which is much more important of course).

I keep my ssv in my grow room, I turn it on in the morning and off just before bedtime. Im out there 4-5 times per day. My enano stays by our bedside for a quick hit during the day, im surprised that my wife wanted it close. My volcano only comes out anymore when we have company. And for on the go, or anything else, it's the mighty.

Nope just take it off normally. Maybe it because I always finish at 210 makes the plastic more malleable I also keep it in a pelican 1040 which holds it tight that could also be the cause

Ah, you're right. Sorry, was confusing the the locking mechanism with the top fins.

The more I use this amazing device, the better it gets. Does anyone else find that with a little effort, you can really get lots of clouds and plenty of efficiency (from 356 to 380, it's all smooth and powerful, in my experience so far)?

If I have a "complaint", it's that it can seem a bit "dry". I have a feeling it's my inhalation method, and I have not gotten it down yet. Any suggestions?
