hey you lovely people, I could pm but I wonder if there are not some others who would also benefit from the question being public.

it is about international shipping, is there anyway for a rakishly handsome english chap to get a dog? or indeed me and he can bugger off

Just a heads up for anyone looking for a great little travel case for their Underdog mini.
If you still happen to have a box from a Jyarz (classic) the mini fits perfect!

That's an awesome doghouse! Lil Curly is in good hands for sure, thanks for posting and welcome to the DogPack! I got a feeling a standard core is on your wishlist now!

I was wondering if there is a way to get a guess of what temp my ud is at? I currently have the stock 12v supply, but I'm planning on upgrading to a vvps soon and wanted to have an idea of a conversion ratio to approximate temperature, or does it depend too much on the specific unit?

I was thinking maybe just getting my own reference and then having an ammeter measuring the current flow and at a specific voltage the current should be proportional in some way to the temperature and I could just tell temperature based on the current that flows at a set voltage ie how much current flows at 12v and the lower the current the higher the temp theoretically.

Basically I'm just wondering if someone's come up with a way to guesstimate what temp the ud is running at.

Thanks
Would one of these work to check temp? point it down into the core.

IR thermometers are hit and miss for purposes of measuring temps of vapes like UDs because of the fairly inaccurate D:S ratios and emissivity issues with trying to read from the shiny stainless core (and irregularly shaped at that) surface. That said they will give you a general idea of the surface temp of the top of the core and if used in a consistent manner can show the changes in temp from a baseline reading when changing voltages.

So basically they can be fun and give ballpark readings but aren't great for reliable/precision data. :2c:

I'm so terribly excited, I ordered a mini dog last night. I'm not a frequent poster, but my little Bocote Twig still manages to send me sideways as a daily driver. The magic flight is great for on the go, and my da Buddha is wild for groups, but the underdog could easily be my only vaporizer, and it very well might be when I move for school in the fall (well, the MF gear may come too but I'll keep the kit small :ninja:).

Hubby has the gun at work because he is working on an A/C right now. I'll have him bring it home. Ballpark is fine with me! :)

My friend does glass blowing as a hobby, and she made me a couple pieces! I am hoping there is some way I can use them with my UnderDog. I'm not even sure now to get a teeny screen in there. I might just have to use a teeny nug, and use them like the glass stem. The wheels in my brain are turning.

Cool glass stems.. what size is the inner diameter? Do they fit over the UD core center tube?

Thank you about the stems!

I have bigger issues at the moment. My UnderDog won't heat up. I'm totally freaking out. :(

Hey Vicki! Sorry to hear that... I'm going to send you a PM, but I might as well post this in the thread too, so people know the first troubleshooting steps.

First, try plugging directly into the power supply (bypassing the extension cord, if you're using an extension cord) to see if the extension cord is at fault. If it doesn't seem to be the extension cord, try plugging your vape into your AromaDog power supply (assuming it is still working) to see if it's the power supply.

It's also a good idea to double check all your connections as well, to make sure all cords are plugged in all the way. Sometimes a cord can get tripped over, or something like that, and unplug it a little without you noticing.
