Weird News Stories of the Day.....

It might rub some people the wrong way to state this...but each of these supposed treatments don't actually work, in many cases.
Yep that definitely rubs me the wrong way as it's not exactly true or to put it another way...it's complete bullshit!
You do know the study you refer to is from 1956 and is no longer valid in any way...?

I think the current average breastcancersurvivalrate thankfully is around 80% to 90% very much depending on when it's detected.
So please all women, do go to your (regular/real) doctors for early detection by screening exams or if you have any suspicions!

Now vampires are real of course...

So nothing about the thoroughly discredited study that is being used by the alternative quacks ad infinitum and which does make up most of your post/remarks eh...
Please do read my linked article...:\

So you're against chelating carcinogenic heavy metal toxins out of your system to avoid cancer (preventative care), and in favor of using powerful targeted poisons to kill cancer before it kills you (reactive care)?
Sorry for the ot, and good luck with that

What Men Find Behind Female Masks
Inside the increasingly common practice—and business—of female masking

lead_large.jpg

Julie, an immaculately made-up woman, sits down in front of a camera. She has thick, voluminous hair that frames the high cheekbones of her conspicuously crease-free face. Her elegant, arched eyebrows and extra-long eyelashes act as a counterbalance to her plump, painted lips. She looks out of frame, as if admiring herself in a mirror, before giggling and batting her eyelids.

“Oh dear,” she purrs, tilting her head from side to side. “Another long day in a wig and a girdle.”

This is from a while ago but I just saw this on TV not too long ago.

they wear body suits too - whatever makes you feel happy

The small company that made the mask and the body suits were interview too.

Thanks for wishing me luck with that, as i would certainly need it...:ugh:
Still no response to the original post you made i see, so i take it you still stand behind this study from 1956 and a site which actually posts things like this?

Since you can't seem to let this go, I will continue to humor your off-topic reaction to my op. You are obviously uninformed; I've had excellent results with both oral and suppository chelation methods.

Your skipping over the 1985 and 2004 studies that supported the 1956 research is quite telling.

From the National Institutes of Health (NIH):

What is EDTA chelation therapy?
Chelation is a chemical process in which a substance is used to bind molecules, such as metals or minerals, and hold them tightly so that they can be removed from a system, such as the body. In medicine, chelation has been scientifically proven to rid the body of excess or toxic metals.

Does EDTA chelation therapy have side effects?
When used as approved by the FDA (at the appropriate dose and infusion rate), for treatment of heavy metal poisoning, chelation with EDTA has a low occurrence of side effects.

The 2007 National Health Interview Survey, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, found that 111,000 adults 18 years of age and older used chelation therapy as a form of complementary or alternative medicine in the previous 12 months.

As you can see, chelation of toxic persistent heavy metals from one's body is not quackery; in fact it is endorsed by the FDA, the CDC, and many integrative physicians/medical doctors including my own.

It's obviously NOT endorsed by insurance companies and the NCI, they've got a good racket going. But this has nothing to do with the effectiveness of chelation, and everything to do with their business model. In fact, this is the same type of reaction these organizations have every time cannabis cures cancer.

Q: You know what leaves the source of the disease intact, and has horrible side effects?
A: The poisonous alternatives to chelation, like chemotherapy, radiation, and statin drugs.

And it's less expensive!

Parents of NAACP Chapter President Rachel Dolezal Say She Is Not Black
by ELIZABETH CHUCK
Is civil rights activist lying about her race? 3:22
The president of a local chapter of the NAACP who has identified as partially black on official documents is "Caucasian by birth," according to her parents, who are accusing her of misrepresenting her identity.

Rachel Dolezal, head of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Washington, does not speak to her parents because of an ongoing legal conflict. This week, they told reporters that Dolezal is white, despite how she portrays herself.

"She knows it's false, but I think she's told herself as well as she's told others this erroneous identity of hers enough that by now, she may believe it more than she believes the truth," Dolezal's mother, Ruthanne Dolezal, told NBC affiliate KHQ in Spokane. Ruthanne and her husband Larry live in Montana and have not been in contact with their daughter for years.

"She is Caucasian by birth," Larry told KHQ.

Well, it's not impossible for her to know that her Mom cheated on her Dad with a black man around the right time, and mom refuses to cop to it. She might have even told her daughter and said to never tell, and Mom denies it publicly and even to her husband. Not saying this is the case, but it certainly is possible and wouldn't be that hard to believe, all things considered.

No matter what the truth is, I doubt there will be a paternity test.

All true, but this possibility is hard to seriously entertain when considering the "younger" picture.

She misrepresented herself as being half black. Both her parents are white. Her parents did adopt 4 black children.

The 2 pictures you can tell it's the same nose. The pic on the left was taken when she was a kid or teenager.

Only assuming you believe her mother. They could easily be the same people and her story be the truth. I have no reason to particularly believe her mother's story over hers.

Rachel Dolezal’s delusions of Blackness: ‘Transracial’ isn’t an ethnicity

There’s something uniquely disturbing on so many different levels about Rachel Dolezal and her masquerade as a Black woman. On the surface, of course, there is shock and disbelief, which is then quickly followed by laughter for many people. After all, the thought of a White woman pretending to be Black and serving as president of the local NAACP chapter is something that seems to be straight out of a Hollywood comedy. But it did happen and we ultimately come back to the question, “What makes a person Black?”

There is a school of thought that the concept of race, as we define it generally today, is an artificial social construct. We either choose our social identity or it is forced upon us; there is no genetic variation between the races. In Dolezal’s case, she feels that being Black is an option that can be easily taken. With a European heritage that clearly defines her as blonde haired, blue eyed and White; Dolezal rejects the social construct of race and darkens her skin. This is insulting. Dolezal has no connection to the historic tapestry of being Black. When asked if she was African American, Dolezal said “No. I am Black.”

I wonder about her mental state? She has an important job representing the NAACP. There's no issue her being white and working for the NAACP, it's pretending she's a black women or multiracial. They said that she has done a lot of good in her leadership role.

Donald Harris, White NAACP Leader, Weighs In On Rachel Dolezal

  • n-RACHEL-DOLEZAL-large.jpg

There are a lot of questions swirling around NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal's ethnicity.

But as far as the NAACP is concerned, her race doesn't matter. There are other chapter leaders throughout the country who aren't African-American.

Donald Harris is one of them. The 77-year-old white, Jewish Brooklynite took the helm of the Maricopa County chapter of the NAACP in Arizona six months ago. He won the seat with a 19-0 vote of the executive board that he served on for 15 years.

Harris weighed in on the controversy stemming from Dolezal's apparently bogus claim that she's African-American, echoing the NAACP's statement that "One’s racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership."

Harris said more in AZ Central:

"There are some people who don't think I'm the favorite flavor. ... I tell them to kiss my ass and I go out and do my job," Harris said. "I love the organization. I want to see everybody treated equally. It ain't gonna happen in my lifetime but I want to see it happen. And that's why we have a NAACP. I believe in that. I fervently believe in it. I'm losing over $100,000 a year not going to my law office every day because I come down here." ...

Still, Harris is frank about how some people, within or outside of the NAACP, may perceive his racial identity as it relates to his work in the African-American community.

"I tell people, 'Look, I can't ever say to you I know what it's like to grow up in a Black home. I can't. I just can't because it's not true and it didn't happen and I don't know.' "
