I don't know man, I don't find the 7th Floor tubing to reek too bad. I've also used the MFLB whip and it reeked to high heaven.

Even though it's not as supple as silicone or the 7th floor tubing I use the whip from Vapolution (gets better with more use) and have found it holds up well to cleaning with little smell.

Don't think it's rated as high as silicone for heat so no using it for UD bowls, but I've been using the same whip for a year and a half and switch it off between the Vapo 2 and the EV 2. It's now a golden brown color instead of clear but cleans up well with a cap full of ISO and a hot water rinse so there's no or at least very little herb odor after cleaning.

I don't recommend any colors or anything clear, what you want is the plain translucent silicone (US sourced if possible). PV sells it by the foot in a selection of sizes (when the site is working), many other places will make you buy a minimum quantity. Buy it from a trusted retailer.

Don't wait for it to evaporate...just rinse the shit out of it!
I do but it always reeks of iso and abv. My tubing length also is at least 3 feet.

The issue for me is that after one bowl the whip smells I can't clean it after every use.

My whip either smells clean and is unused, like green herb for a few hits, or abv or iso with abv and iso repeating.

Silicone tubing has the highest heat rating and the least taste. Last I checked the best deal on it was the Silcon brand at US Plastics.

Mine is Silcon. I also have 7th Floor tubing, Arizer, and MFLB tubing.

Flavor isn't a problem just the fact that the inside and out smells pretty bad on my silcon and I can't afford to replace tubing every week.

Looks like a job for!
Not 100% sure it's full silicone or not, but I snagged some tubing by Viva La Vape at a LHS.

It doesn't have a plasticy smell, rather a fruity (cherry like) smell to it when I first got it.

Upon first use I noticed no taste other than the vapor, and now about a week later the smell has gone almost entirely.

My :2c:? @Vitolo, by far, has the least stinkiest whip. That thing was legendary!

I thought there was a video around here somewhere showing the cleaning process.

I bought 20' of silicon tubing from McMaster-Carr - cost was about the same for US Plastics after you take account of shipping (US Plastics wanted $17 vs McMaster's $9). Great tubing - in some ways better than the whip tubing that came with my Rise. I got some of the semi-clear white and some of the black opaque high-temp silicon (1/4"id, 3/8" od). I also found that the smell is almost impossible to kill after a few uses, and mine get used almost every day. I've tried alcohol, hot water, vinegar... My wife suggests I soak the hole hose overnight in alcohol - haven't tried that yet.

Ultimately, my solution was to keep the whips in large zip-lock bags. At least then they don't stink up my house.

Those 3/8" silicon tubes also fit PERFECTLY and securely into the intake end of a Tonic 2.0 hookah whip

The Tonic's also pick up some smell, but they are washable (never done it though), and they don't absorb nearly as much smell as the silicon tubes. I guess eventually they might also get too stinky to use, but at $8.95 (shipped), they are "disposable".

(BTW, everyone really prefers the hookah hoses to the straight silicon whips with the cheap plastic mouth pieces/)

I change my whip about every 2 years.
The whip is stained but clean, and fresh smelling.
This one is almost 2 years old, and is not quite ready to be changed.
When I place a new whip on my wand, the old one goes to use at an "oil/concentrate" unit.

I know this is an old post...but I tried everything to get the smell out of my silicone whips. It works for a very little while; so, I just store the smelly in a small air tight container. If I can't stomach the taste or smell, I have to replace it.
