If I'm storing flowers for 4-5 months, do i want to put it in the fridge or freezer?

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
No mate.

It will freeze the trichomes and they can fall off. Which is great if you are making keif or bubble hash. But not good for storage.

Look into cvault storage containers, they are expensive but well worth the money I think.
You can just buy the boveda paks that come with these tins they are dirt cheep on there own and you could use those in another jar or tin.

Cool, dark and sealed should work fine just make sure the product is not too moist going in. Refrigeration is not a biggie for that period of time IMO.

Refrigeration is ok but ya gotta watch the condensation that takes place when you take it out of the fridge and open the jar.

For me, the only time that I would consider refrigeration is if the temperature where I store it consistently gets over 80 degrees. My a/c is set to go on at 79 so my bud never sees those temps or if so, very rarely.

Like lwien and howie said, refrig not needed for 4-5 months unless super hot conditions.

Cool, dark, and PROPER HUMIDITY with Boveda humidity control packs (62%).
I have herb that is over 12 months old and is actually better than when packed. It has had a looong, proper curing period and is great.
But buds cannot be too humid or it molds. If too dry it gets crumbly/dried out/deteriorates.

thanks everyone. i knew freezing was iffy, i didn't know that putting in the fridge was worse than storing in a dark closet.

I just keep mine in jyarz or other similarly airtight containers, they've held their moisture well but I prefer more dry herb anyway. Cvaults are definitely a good choice too.
