I see you have edited out that fixed glass is your preference ...but your preferences don't make me wrong.
Snappo you're always right!

I had a busy day, just winding down with some GrapeApe. It's already Sunday morning.

I was reading some talk about the Stems/mouthpieces. I've been impressed with the Nano stems, they are nice and thick. I have dropped mine on a few occasions and they haven't broken. Also the high temp rubber end seems to help to protect it and works great to protect your fingers from the hot glass.

I still haven't tried my glass fixed screen stems yet - I'm sure they will work awesome too.

@ACE OF VAPE - Andy, what is your favorite bubbler with the Nano?

No one can break glass like I can (well, almost no one :p). I have two nano glass stems. Both dropped multiple times. No cracks, no shattering....always to my surprise.

Not a glass fan, but I love the thickness and resilience of the nano glass stems. Another great thing about this marvelous little beast.

I've been very happy with my Nano but I did find the first GonG sent to me wasn't really fit for purpose. There's a ridge inside the glass that stops the heater from being inserted properly - hopefully you can see what I mean in this pic (excuse the dirtiness under the basket screen).

6lN5gHm.jpg

The old GonG is on the left, the new one on the right. You can actually see a line appeared on the glass where the heater would rest. I had to raise the basket screen up quite a bit on the first one and even then, it didn't work that well unless I really packed the weed in pretty dense, not very efficient! It would've been completely useless if it had a fixed screen.

The new one is perfectly flat inside where the heater is inserted and it seems to work much, much better thankfully.

I saw someone saying that they had dropped their Nano a couple of times, and it started making a metallic 'ping' sound when tapping it. The same thing happens with mine, and I'm not certain but it appears to be caused by the ceramic heater... When I look down at the heater through the mesh on top, it appears to be resting against the side of the metal housing, rather than in the middle of it. It doesn't seem to be all that loose though and it still works fine, but there's a bit of a rattle if I shake it. Would rather not send it back from the UK though if I can avoid it!

Here are a couple of (bad) pics of the Figured Crotch Walnut beauty:

i like the one on the left more ... so you can use it with your bubbler without hands... otherwise you have to hold the nano all the time so it does not lay on your herb... and isn t i build to keep your nano away from your herb... and you can adjust your basket like you want...

i have a stem all glass where there is no "stopper" and i do not like it... the two adjust basket stems have the stopper and i favor them... same with my gong...

The Nano can't lay on the herb unless you pack it too high in the bowl, because the metal casing around the ceramic heater is wider about 1cm down from the top and that's what stops it inserting too far into the glass.

With your stem without a 'stopper', it doesn't go COMPLETELY over the heater does it? It should stop where the heater casing gets wider, that's where it's supposed to stop.

Just been searching back through the thread and ACE OF VAPE said:

"On newer units the heater is secured in place by a screw and washer and is immovable."

No idea what could be causing my ping/rattle issue then. :\ Ah well, it still works fine so I'll just try and ignore it.

Well my problem is that my kitchen island I sit at to vape has a marble countertop. The glass has yet to win a fight. Luckily it just chips without sharp edges.

My Walnut has the same little ping noise when it is moved a certain way, usually when I set it down on a hard surface. The ceramic element can move a little in the metal sleeve I think, that's the way it's designed. It hasn't effected performance for me. Although, a noise like that can obviously cause concerns about build quality. More a mental thing. I'd like to see the element somehow supported inside the stainless housing somehow in future nanos.

Yeah, definitely a mental thing, I just want it to be perfect! As you say though, it doesn't seem to effect the performance, just a bit annoying. I've been reading back though the thread about people opening theirs up and fixing it themselves so now I'm trying to resist having a go! :p

I would get an interesting reaction if I vaped at our kitchen island. I've dropped both glass stems directly onto a glass tabletop. So far no damage from that....me and glass don't get along well, so it's nice to own a couple things that seem to be holding up. So far. Probably just jinxed it.

I have heard this....set or bumped the right way and the Nano gives off a very hushed ping like fine crystal. It never bothered me, nor did I perceive it to be a sign of build issues.

no mine doesnt stop... i can shove it in until the heater is touching the "honey comb"... but maybe its defective...

thought you like that... and you don t like when your heater is stopped....

I just wanted to share my current set up with you guys. I haven't used my dry stem at all recently and instead having been trying to put together a nice water set up. I've got a D020-D, attached to an OGB reclaimer, then an OGB carbed GonG, and topped off with a glass screen GonG from Epic.

I just got the carb today and it is awesome, no blow back and quick hit clearing. I like having the reclaimer on because it prevents a lot of gunk from ending up in the bubbler itself, it also catches ash/debris that falls through rather than it ending up in the water. Yes I know the result looks like some weird tower of glass but the performance and functionality is really great.

Bought to take a trip to the stores with the wife and I'm going to try and find some organic cotton swabs to try out some wax that my uncle just gave me over the weekend.

A somebody to no one, a nobody to some.
After purchasing my first vaporizer (DaVinci Ascent) about a month ago, I have seen the light!

Although I love the Ascent's portability, and it does get me medicated (albeit slowly), I wanted something with more of a kick for my at-home use. Did some research and happened upon this little beauty. The fabled E-Nano. Seems like it can pack quite a punch.

I received my E-Nano shipping email tonight around 11pm, so I'm assuming it will ship tomorrow. Should have it by this weekend. Im so amped. Can't wait to try this bad boy out!

To begin with all I ordered was the E-Nano Koa kit, as well as 5 extra screens. In a while I'll probably pick up a GonG and try out the Nano with my bong. I've seen the milk vids - WOW.

Still, I'm excited to try out the Nano with the included adjust-a-bowl stem for a few weeks until I get the hang of the unit. :science:

Can't wait!

Here's a video I did detailing how I do concentrate dabs using organic cotton as a medium to do convection dabs.

Thank you so much for making this video! I think I used way too much cotton when I tried last night, it was tasting kind of odd. But after watching your video and using a lot less cotton and letting it warm up I got much better results this morning. Tastes much better through the E-Nano, I tried it in a Cloud 2.0 wax pen my uncle gave me and I swear it tasted like smoking combustion bowl resin.

Welcome! Yeah the Davinci Ascent converted me to vaporizing after 1 month! The taste from the Ascent is phenomenal considering it uses mostly conduction to heat.

Might as well buy a GonG right now, because trust me, that's where the Nano SHINES :D This baby is way smaller than you expect, about the size of a small redbull can.

My biggest tip for you the day you get the nano is to let it preheat for a full 30 minutes before taking your first hit. :freak:

@Toltec I don't think you'll be disappointed. I agree with @Ratchett - don't put off the GonG too long. One of the best things about the E-nano is you can use it so many ways and they are all amazing. In the course of a single day, I might start out sipping with the dry stem, then move to wax through water and then wind down with herb through water.

I would suggest an extra of each glass piece that you can squirrel away in case of breakage.

And to emphasize the size of the E-nano {assuming my pics don't poof again}

Green goes to brown, n that's what I stand for.
Today is just one of those days where I had to crank it up half a notch and push the screen a litter closer. For months I hadn't gone above 7 on the nano but 7.5 is making for a whimsical session indeed. If I remember correctly when I first got the nano I would crank to 7.5. I guess I lowered it because many of you turned me on to vaping at a lower temp. Tonight though, I'm cloud chasing!

It's easier for me to have fixed dìsc.
Adjustability is not factor in my case!
I guess not a lot of people have the fixed screen/disc gongs. I actually have a 14mm and an 18mm. To be honest I had not used either in a long time but I recently switched back as my basket screens were getting a bit nasty. I really like the Joda gongs and like the flexibility of the basket screens in terms of load size and heat. However, after using the fixed screen/disc gongs for the past couple of weeks I really see where @ataxian is coming from. You can really pack a nice fat load and it is just so easy. I'm really enjoying it actually. But like the man says, Cannabis is the holy grail". :) :)

All I can say is I like a fixed disc better!

Your correct in that CANNABIS is the HOLY GRAIL!

I have an aluminum stand and my dry stem does not fit like that. It's quite annoying. It only fits basket side down. Which makes a little mess sometimes.
