Sounds like you fried one of the mosfet in your tesla.
If your running the .5ohm coil, Try turning down your wattage to between 20~25 watts. Also you could try the 1.2ohm coil instead. It does not hit as hard as the .5 and uses less wattage to fire. Hope this helps.

Gracias, I was thinking the same thing, that I fried one of the Mosfits, kinda shitty as when I bought it, other then the wood it was touted with the "Triple Mosfit protection" so the fact that the Mosfit fried, ugh. I guess it did protect my RDA from exploding though :D

Regarding your statement turning the wattage down....I'm still pretty unfamiliar with the science of Ohms and Wattage/Voltage, but now I am slightly confused as well because of this new tank, perhaps you could enlighten me a bit.

A higher resistance coil, runs at a higher voltage correct? As it needs more power? That's why when I screw my .5 coil on, it says 5.4 V at 50 watts on my ipv2? My Nautilus tank with a 1.6-1.8 (I forget what's in there offhand) says something like 7.2 V at 50 watts?

I've had dual coils running .7 and they seemed to not fire well unless I was pumping 40+ watts in them, while this Nano tank is .5 and I run it on 8! I can bump it to 20 but its getting really hot at that point. Is this because the dual coil is technically running at like, double the read ohms? Since it is two coils?

Would appreciate the knowledge :D

Watts is equal to volts x amps. Using ohms law all this is proportional so to speak. Watts are not part of ohms law. Voltage current and resistance. So in a mech mod 4.2 volts with a .5 coil. We know volts and resistance if we want to find amps, easiest way to get watts, we divide 4.2 over .5 comes out 8.4 amps. Then take 8.4 x 4.2= 35 watts. So 35 watts equals 4.2 v at .5ohms. Now regulated mods have a chip that does this calculations for you. All mods are simply VV the display might show your changing the watts and you are but only in the respect that the voltage changed, my mech mod is also variable wattage, that shit goes down with my battery. Now boxes keep you constant through Circuits. It's deffinttly a great feature. Also many ways to get to watts just v x I is the easy math.

You can rock a sub ohm tank with the watts low and the air closed low. You will eventually want wide open air. I prefer 20-30 watts. 12 mg nic is actually pretty high on .5 coil. I want to go down already. Just pre order that kanger subox all pretty in white and have yourself a sweet little diddy.

 Holy shit im confused
I just need to buy one and stop procrastinating........i just dont want to have to turn around and get another one in a few months.....thats why im looking at some of the higher wattage mods so i can start low and move up...

Myself, ssvun and others grabbed a kbox. It's inexpensive, $20-$35 I think and has preset wattages 8, 13, 20, 25, 30 and 35. I bought a package with the Kanger subtank plus nd accessories. I'm very happy with it as a starter mod. It's cheap enough to upgrade to another. As u read that's what I'm doing. IMO it's one of the best out, sx350j chip not nessicerally the mod (mod too:cool:). So if you're looking for an advanced mod I'd look for something with that chip in it.

Tho I'm very new to this and could be talking out my ass lol

$19.99 + shipping and handling. Free S&H if over $35. Honestly thinking of picking one up just because they are so cheap, and my Tesla just shit the bed.

That is where I ordered my Tesla from, and they sent me a packing slip so they may potentially send me a new unit, I have to send it out to them first. Maybe they will simply fix the mosfit, but I doubt it as they seem like a reseller and not a manufacturer.

Morning all. I did some reading last night and went through this thread as well. Please lmk if you think i am making the right choice. Even though my Vamo V5 is or was more expensive then the Kbox , i think i will just give my father the Vamo v5 and a innokin iclear 30 tank and keep the kbox for myself with the arctic subtank i just picked up the other day. The Vamo is only 15w compared to the kbox at 40w i believe . This will also be my 1st subtank i am trying out . I picked up the model recommended here which i believe comes with a .2ohm and .5ohm . Please lmk what you think and also a few recommended settings on the kbox with this tank ? ty

Sweet bro! The only thing is I don't think the nano is rebuildable, the mini and plus are. Tbh I only got the plus cuz I was a heavy smoker so the most ejuice seemed like a good idea. I haven't ventured into the rebuildable side yet tho.

I would definitely keep the kbox and the arctic. Just make sure you use the .5 ohm coils because the kbox won't handle the .2. I would also get the single coils. I would start at 25-30 watts and see how you like it, but there is a good chance you will keep it at around 40w for best flavor and clouds.

After a full night with my arctic I absolutely love it, feels so much like an rda with a tank on it, huge clouds and the best flavor I've had out of a tank, no question.

Thanks sasNW i am super excited to get it. I appreciate you telling me about this all and im sure it will be a huge upgrade for me coming from reg tanks that i normally have been using. Also wondering why the kbox wont handle the .2 ohm coil ? what can i use that one for or is it just a waste for me and i should grab more .5's ? I saw a few people using the .2 online with the kbox but they were kanger tanks . I kind of have no clue as to the differences and also as to what the single coils are and what they do , i am pretty new to this.

@Justpassedu if this is your first sub ohm tank then you will definitely be happy with it. Just remember that you're getting much much more vapor, so I'd strongly suggest moving down a step in the nicotine.

The kbox is rated to handle coils .4 ohms and above because it doesn't have the voltage capable of going any lower. As far as I know kangers lowest coil is a .5, unless they have a new one I don't know about.

The dual coils just take more power to fire properly, but the single coils still produce great clouds and flavor. But for a less powerful mod you will want single coil, and the highest ohm coil you can get.
To run the .2 you will need a new mod, so I'd just suggest getting all .5's and not deal with the .2's

Thanks , can you recommend a few mods that will fire that .2 coil and also are not so big? I'd like to eventually pick up something more powerful but yet small and somewhat light weight if that's even possible.

As far as small goes the ipv2 mini 70w mod is awesome- http://www.vapordna.com/Black-iPV-Mini-2-70-Watts-Mod-by-Pioneer4you-p/ipvm04.htm

Or if you're willing to go bigger the new IPv4 I just picked up isn't that big, easily pocketable. The ipv2 mini only holds a single 18650 battery while the ipv4 holds 2. So the mini is obviously smaller but also only has half the battery capacity. So it depends what's more important to you, battery life or size

That .2 is like ~80-90 watts in a mech mod. Idk just read the specs of the gazzilion out there and if it's under 200 it's a clone :( but clones are good from what can tell. The nano does not have the rba. The occ coils are great. @NorVape thenano I have worked great with wejuice, but second washes tend to leave it nasty looking. If the run is greenish it will leave your tank fugly. I am rocking the mech mod with a veritas rda single coil build .4 ohms. Some vista vapor altostratus, tastes like flowers, weird but so damn good. the ego one battery with delta 2 is topped off with some sweet highs tea. :D I have changed my wejuice mod about everyway possible with what I got and the big ass delta 2 keeps winning with stock coils flow control all the way open. It's just too big on the mech so wejuice in the black tank makes nasty looking hard to see. The rda is just so good I'm stuck dripping my nic for a while.

I'm loving my new Subtank Mini on my 30watt Denali... I'm still getting a Subox, just need to get this tank while I wait for the new mod.. Here it is with some of my other 18650 using devices...

My friend told me he and others have modded there rda decks slightly by making the juice channels a little wider to avoid dry hits... I did it and seems to be working great.

here is a video if your interested in modding the rda juice channels... simple

Another new product, this is where I'm going! I like the subox but this thing has temp control and you can get ti or ni coils for the delta 2.... So for wejuice I will have flow and temp control both. This is so perfect for weed. Probs great for nic too. Everything joyetech I bought has been good too which is a plus. Check it out seems like the sx mini but made to work with delta 2!
