can somebody tell me if its normal for my titanium nail to be like a light grey flakey texture on top in the dish? I have had it for months on and off use I just never thought to mention it but was wondering if this is what oxidation or rust looks like on a nail

That is natural oxidation from use. The fine powdery texture is Titanium Dioxide. It is completely normal and will not harm you. You can sometimes avoid this by keeping your nail at lower temperatures and not super heating it. The Titanium Dioxide forms as a kind of protective layer.

Ok thanks it just looked weird because it's like cracking as if it's peeling off. Definitely didn't look like something normal

if it gets to having a flaky surface that flakiness can be scrapped and brushed off as desired... if you have waxier concentrate you might notice this buildup more often as it is in fact ash as well. although you may not be vaping at those temps... the torch will combust any leftovers and those particles tend to stick around after a while with repeted heating and cooling cycles.

I scooped these ti bodies and enail heads for the no more torch experience from a company called New Vape. So far I haven't finished testing out all the ti but its been totally epic so far! As for cleaning a torch is always necessary I heat it up till its red hot and then give it a good brass bristle brush rub down to get rid of that build up.
