I've heard that the Plenty works much better with a full chamber than with a pad so I've been using the full chamber, even though that's a lot of vaping for one person. (I don't get super high or anything, unfortunately, I just get bored and my throat starts to hurt).

What that usually means is that I might heat it up a few times in a night, and there's still vapor at the end. And then I start on it again the next day, without changing the bowl, until there's no more vapor even on a short draw at 7.

Is what I'm doing OK? Or would it be better to just pack a small amount and use the pad?

Also, does anyone find that it's kind of messy to load? At least compared to the crafty (or mighty I assume). Filling it to the brim usually leaves stray herd flying around. BTW, do we lightly fill it to the rim or really pack it in filled to the rim?

Also, for someone who really isn't getting high enough off of this (and misses the headrush and 'brain turned off' feeling from smoking pot with a bit of tobacco) any advice?

Thanks!

What does < 0.1 even look like? Would you mind posting a picture of that amount in the filling chamber? What do you get from that? 1-2 pulls?

Basically just the smallest amount needed to cover the screen. I was curious about the efficiency of the Plenty so I weighed it after loading it up, and it didn't even register as 0.1 on my scale. It could just be that my scale has shitty resolution and it just wasn't sensitive enough to get an accurate reading, but that's what it said. I got about 4-5 hits and was blasted. Started at level 5 and ended the session at 7.

I'll get some pics later. And another factor to consider, @whateverman, is the quality of the material.

Ok so I vaped a few bowls, filling the chamber before turning the device on. Yes it's a little better but again, I'd rather haver two or three bowls in my solo than one session with the Plenty.

I've tried every combination there is - first the chamber on then turning it on, I've tried the other way around (heat first, chamber lock after).
I tried full bowls, half bowls and just 0.1g. Sometimes with the pad, sometimes without.
Different strains were used.
I don't get the effect everyone's talking about - and after reading this thread, I'm not the only one.

Have 99% iso alcohol - assume I can dilute that down, leave everything to soak, make sure its rinsed clean and go back.. how long do you guys normally soak for?

4 months into being a plenty and crafty user and I'm delighted with the Plenty, quite happy with the crafty.

the plenty through glass and water is a superb extraction technique imo, quick, efficient, powerful and highly effective.

Ok, here's pictures of my <0.1 load...:brow:

I got about 10 hits off that starting at 5 and then bumping it to 7 to close out the session. I have a video I'll upload, but I got massive clouds when I cranked the temp up, and that's after 5 decent hits at level 5. Maybe the Plenty isn't such a hog after?

EDIT:

Here's the video

@Jambi619 go ahead and try this: get some 100% cotton, take the screen off the black part of the chamber- the one that holds the cooling coil.
Put enough cotton so that the draw resistance is for your likings.
Then put the screen back on, fill the chamber and heat the plenty to 7. Don't puff on it until you hear the click. Then turn it back to 6 and take some puffs.

i found that this way I get thicker vapor out of the plenty. Try it!

I calibrated it before weighing, but maybe it's just not sensitive enough? Either way it's gotta be in the 0.1 range.

And I'll try that cotton trick sometime. How much do you usually use? Do you think a flattened cotton ball would be sufficient?

@Jambi619 Yes I believe just a small piece of cotton will be sufficient. puff away from coil to see if the draw resistance is too much/too little.

BTW, I also put about 0.1-0.2g of herb in the chamber and the liquid pad on top, and it looks exactly like the picture you posted - the herb just covering the screen. (of course I've tried bigger bowls - but it doesn't get you much higher, at least in my experience).

I'm gonna go ahead and take a tolerance break, since I feel I can't really get stoned anymore. I'll try the PLENTY after my t break, and we'll see if it's bombing my ass.

P.S. I wanted to ask you @Jambi619, how is the LSV in comparison to the PLENTY? and which one is your go to vaporizer?
Also, did any of you try connecting the PLENTY to a bong? how's it like? how do I do it (homemade DIY style, since bongs are illegal in my state).

Haven't tried it through water, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to do. Just take off the mouthpiece, idk if there's a silicone part on there or not, but if there is that should be good enough to work as a gasket.

The LSV is nice, lately it's been my go-to vape when I'm at home. I have a shorty wand and a D020 bubbler I use with it. I also use EQ basket screens so that it holds about a Solo stem's worth of material, because normally the LSV can be kind of a hog too.

Vapor on the LSV is nice, you'll get a cloud on your first hit if it's up to temp, no flavor hit. On the other hand, it's kinda hot especially using the short wand. The EQ screens cut down on the need to stir somewhat, but you still probably should, whereas the Plenty takes no stirring. Flavor is good for the first two hits or so but then it does drop off quite a bit.

I think the Plenty produces the best vapor of any vaporizer I've tried, it's just a PITA sometimes to screw all the stuff and throw the pad on and screw some more stuff....BLAH Actually it's not that much work, I'm just a lazy bitch lol

Where the hell are bongs illegal?? FL? OH?

I don't live in the US, in a place where bongs are illegal and vapes are in a gray area - "they" don't know about these devices yet, I guess. They are being sold in stores, yet I know about cases where people bought vapes from abroad and it got confiscated at the customs.

I'm currently on a T break, until Sunday. - then I'd like to use my plenty. Wish me luck ;)

I know we don't need another Plenty review on here, but I would like to clarify a few things for others who are uncertain if this is the vape for them.

Just a little background, my vaping background looks like this:

Vapir (bag)
MFLB
Arizer Solo
Plenty

Although my MFLB hasn't gotten any use in over a year, I love the little guy for showing me that portable vaping is a wonderful thing. Enter the solo, which has literally changed my life as now I can vape (almost) whenever and wherever I choose. The only drawback was the harshness of the warm vapour after several bowls. However, the efficiency of the Solo is incredible and I found myself conserving herb like I never thought possible.

Enter a lucky local ad, a S&B Plenty, new in the box. Long story short, I got it for $100 from a rather sketchy looking character. However, the product was as advertised. Now for my review:

Anyone reading this knows what the Plenty looks like. The look is polarizing. I have had friends say they think it looks amazing, powerful, truly incredible... and others that say it looks like a children's toy or a funky glue gun. Either way, let's ignore the way it looks and focus on performance.

The Plenty performs so well, there almost isn't much to say. It heats up quickly, hits as hard or as light as you want it to, vapes the material perfectly evenly, and is capable of giving bigger hits of vapour that a person is able to handle. Every friend I've ever had try to really rip off the plenty after I've primed it up for them is surprised at how quickly and smoothly you get MASSIVE hits. It truly is incredible and the whole system from the heating element to the chamber and cooling coil work perfectly.

Now... on to the important part. From my experience of using the Plenty everyday as a direct replacement for using my Solo at home, I can tell you that YES, YOU CAN VAPE SMALL AMOUNTS IN THE PLENTY! I vape bowls that look identical to JAMBI's and, with the right technique, you can get a long lasting, extremely potent session out of that .1 gram.

My technique is: grind herb as dry and fine as possible. put .1-.2 g in, being careful not to let too much kief fall through the bottom screen. Put liquid pad on top. Attach together, set to 5.5, heat up. After clicking off, prime 4 or 5 little puffs, then start vaping. Hit pretty much nonstop for about 2 minutes. Relax, chill, realize you are already high as fuck... a minute or two later (while unit is still hot) turn dial to 7. Click handle. Wait for click. Take 5 or 6 massive hits of vapour so thick it's practically blue. Try not to cough. Go go go hit that shit while it's hot. I get about 10 huge hits, and probably 10 more lighter ones. Just from that .1 grams!

That being said I've blown through WAY more herb since getting the Plenty, not necessarily because it eats up herb but because I like using it so much that I keep overindulging!

I've used a plenty for almost two years exclusively. I hate the liquid pad, it just cooks it too fast and makes it a hotter harsher hit. Just hold the unit straight so the flower stays in an even layer and you won't need to use the liquid pad. I got used to using way too much though because I like how it hit with a full chamber. As much as I love this vape it's getting some break time. If anyone has any questions please ask me, I'm too tired to type up a big post with all my insights on the device.

Does anyone use their plenty for vapor bonging? Does the coil fit either the standard 14mm or 18mm joint sizes? Im buying a plenty in a month and wanted to know the easiest way to vapor bong with it. Thanks for any help you guys can offer....happy vaping!

It has been explained and discussed in this relatively short thread a few times.

If you take the mouthpiece (just the mouthpiece! not the silicone) off the tip of the cooling coil, it seals in a 14mm female joint.

I desagree. I am using the plenty since 6 months now and i found that with or without the liquid pad there is no difference. Plus, when you use it without the flower is sticking on the upper screen.

And after all this time i can say now that the plenty is hitting louder than the volcano and the pad certainly particpate in it as it's heating more with. You can see it as the abv is really more brown with the plenty than the cano.
