That is all I needed to hear. I'm happy with my E-Nano and am not looking to spend money on redundancy. Think I'll just save for an EVO, I think tha. is different enough to have a role in my collection.

The LSV is more like the nano on steroids.
The LSV runs $130 for a blemished unit. If you don't like it, you could sale it on FC's classified for $100 easily, so that's only a $30 rental fee. I doubt you will get the same turn around with the EVO if you don't like it. Some food for thought,

Alright perhaps I won't write it off just yet, instead I'll wait and think on it before purchasing anything.
I like the slyme/double amber GonG in your user photo, what vape do you use that with?

7th Floor Products have pretty decent resale value, unlike the EVO :/ (source:FC classifieds).....more food.
Can someone explain the optimal method to use an ELB with an M2M?
I have been getting nice results from my EQ screen with the LSV turned way down low (9:30am on the dial). But I haven't been able to find the best way to use an ELB yet (I feel like I'm wasting a lot of herb and I'm cooking it too high of a temperature - combusted twice this week so far)
Do you pack it full? What temperature do you set the LSV to (I set mine to 2pm, but that seems a bit too hot I think). What draw speed are you using? I find myself having to draw much harder with the ELB to achieve good vapor production (especially when I use the ELB cover screen)

I usually pack it between 1/4 and 1/2. Sometimes a little more if I'm sharing. Medium grind....
Usually start around 11:00 and end around 3:00. I have never combusted and always have nice even abv with no stirring.
Long deep draws here. I'm not struggling to pull but I generally have no breath left at the end of a draw. Even with the elb this is by far the most free flowing vape I own.

Are you using the ELB cover screen? I notice a huge difference with and without this screen (seems better heat distribution, but requires more draw speed and higher temperatures).
I've been thinking about making a sweet vinyl sticker for my LSV so I can better track my dial settings, I'll be sure to post a picture when I'm done

I am on my way out the door but a quick suggestion to muddy the waters some more. Experiment a bit with your grind, Too fine is a pain for me to get to roast right unless I sandwich it between two screens.
Yeah, I was actually thinking about dropping a small nugget in the ELB and seeing how that works out

Just about 3mm of material in the bottom of the ELB.
Dial at around noon.
Medium draw speed while watching the WT for vapor density, then speed up or slow down draw for that perfect hit!
Stir and repeat while upping the temp to finish off the load.
I usually finish at about 2pm

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the ELB works differently in an EVO due to it's placement, correct?
In the EVO, the hot air can enter the screen through the bottom and sides of the screen (exiting through the top, hence necessitating the need for a top screen). Whereas with the ELB + M2M configuration, heat enters the ELB through the open end of the screen, limiting the surface area making contact with the herb.
I wonder if it would be possible to make a super short 18mm male 2 male so I could mount the basket on the other side of the M2M and recreate the experience of the Evo

what if you reverse it on the 18 mm M2M and point the bottom of the ELB toward the heating element and the top toward your bubbler?
I could, but that places the basket too far away from the heat source. I think I'll try that again, but set the LSV to max temperature and let it fully preheat

Still no further away than the stock WPA id think?
I mean, a M2M adapter really isn't that long, we're talking like a 1 inch difference if you spin a m2m around 180...
Indeed, I'll need to do some more experimentation to see how it works. I also plan on ordering the WPA next week (and a custom marble knob! Any links to somewhere I can see knob designs??)
Still closely watching the 3D printer industry, waiting for the a high-temp vapor safe material to hit the market. As soon as I find one, you guys better watch out. I've got a whole bunch of different ideas for WPA designs

Adds to that industrial vibe I feel the LSV gives off
But im pretty sure any SSV/DBV/LSV temp knob will work, so just check out what 7th floor has available

Guitar and Potentiometer knobs fit perfect. Mark a line on your LSV and you can make 0 off, 10 the highest heat.

I like the m2m method a lot but 2 issues I've been having are :
1) I can't get equally zapped abv. Even if i stir, the bottom of a half full elb doesn't get extracted enough. I even folded up a screen and sat it at the bottom of an elb to try and increase air exposure to the bottom( I vape at 3:00)
2) A few times right after hitting, as I disconnect the lsv from the m2m its pulled the HC off with it. I don't like when that happens. Its funny, one's first instinct is to push the scorching hot HC with your finger but only for a split second until your frontal cortex (reason) kicks in.
other than that, the m2m method is superb and I get sick clouds. I haven't decided which method I prefer yet (m2m or wpa with crafty liquid pad).

I've tried the WPA, long and short, with the ELB and EQ elbow bowl; and the M2M with ELB, facing in either direction, as well as the EQ elbow bowl. So far my favorite is the M2M with the EQ elbow bowl. Its about the same circumferance as the ELB top, but its a little deeper. Having the herb sitting so close to the heater gives me 2-3 massive hits and a more even extraction than with the ELB, where the herb on the bottom doesnt seem to get enough heat. It feels a lot like hitting a log vape, but more so. My second favorite is the WPA with the elbow bowl. Its about the same as the M2M, but I'm too lazy to unscrew the cap every time.
