I cant believe no one really thought to request such a thing... Thanks @BuzzDanklin thats pretty nice to know it wont be vaping away while just sitting there.

Personally I'd rather you go find someone to try and the GH and give their impressions as theyre trying it out and that over destroying a bowl on temp 5 as quick as ya can :p

either way I think that pic/info will satisfy me till the first shipping notice(unless they dont actually ship this month..)

I've wondered this, but I highly doubt the the mouthpiece would be wider than the body of the grasshopper with the clip. My only concern is that if it's close and the mouthpiece falls off while pulling out the grasshopper it might be difficult to get out without a tool.

Oh buddy, four days left to ship IF you include Saturday, hate to say it but I'll be shocked if anything ships this month. They know that even shipping out the frist 100 would be a huge benefit to backers and probably trigger a small flood of pre-orders, but there's a lot of risk if they ship out bad units. Nowhere in their communications have they clearly blocked out time for testing the assembly process and the finished units, more like they've indicated that AND hiring and training assemblers was left till the last two weeks. I'm guessing they've been front-loading the design work to make this go as smooth as possible, but it's a red flag (in terms of any delivery schedule) that there was no plan to ramp up production capability at least a couple months ago (and yes, to me that means every time they've ever said they were close to shipping was well-meaning, but naive, bs). Confidence that they will fulfill orders - 98%. Confidence that the next update will include hard shipping dates that do come true - 7%.

Fairly minimal, and quite easy. A couple times I have cleaned out the chamber/bowl with an Iso Q-tip, but the maintenance is mainly just the front end/screen, so I just take that off and drop it in iso, or use a q-tip to rub the inside. Unfortunately the screen is one of the few things that are being changed in the final version, so my cleaning may or may not be a good representation of the production screen. (The new screen looks like it should be easier/quicker to clean to me though)

@blazed7's Thats a tough request haha. I should be able to find a time when I have nothing going on for a while at some point (even with my roommates help a full battery of temp5 bowls will put me to sleep for the afternoon haha) That will be A LOT of herb in a very short time, so I can't really do it on a day when I have stuff going on :)

Lastly I did a quick test today, I loaded the GH chamber up, and then I set it to max temp. I turned the unit on, and let it run until auto-shutoff, then I immediately turned it back on again, and waited until shutoff again, then I emptied the bowl to see if/howmuch the herb was heated. As you can see, the herb that was literally sitting on top of the heater, started to heat/change color/vape, but the rest of the chamber looks untouched, I am pretty happy with that for two full heat cycles at max temp, especially since I can't think of a single situation you would ever let it sit more than a full heat cycle without drawing.

There is a measurable amount of conduction in Buzz's no-hit ABV pic. I guess it is to be expected in such a small device and the max temp is the extreme. I was hoping it wouldn't cook the weed before I want it to.

Normally you would just start drawing right after it preheats, you would never turn it on, and let it sit there until it turns off, then immediately turn it back on and wait until it turns off again. So that much conduction should never happen in normal use.

Then the radiation is cooking the herb. If you see that much brown herb, then the herb just next to that has been cooked too. The good stuff will cook off before the herb changes color. So 1/3-1/4 the bowl is cooked off a little in 2 clicks with no hits?

Idk if I'd consider that 1/4th, looks like a small portion within that 1/4th section of herb and that's with 36 sec of constant highest temp... If you're that lifted maybe its a good thing some gets used up lol I'm sure it'd be a bit less with more time in between to cool down as I'd you forget its on would you really click it back the second it turns off?

Wasn't there talk a while back on some other thread about the color of ABV and how misleading it can be. Doesn't the ABV from the Herbalizer look pretty fresh and unvaped?

Still wondering when we'll see them start shipping, my biggest concern is the legal stuff. I really hope that doesn't stall the project for too long. Oh well, we'll find out more on Sunday/Monday

I can't imagine any situation where I'd let my hopper sit turned on for anywhere near that long, so it's not something I'm considering a problem anyway. That herb he showed us in the picture still looks good enough to me that if someone showed it to me I'd be fine with buying it from them, or using it.

I thought radiative heat was present in most convection vapes when you already have them loaded and at max temp (basically touching the heater). It's just what happens when heat is present in a closed region.

Definitely doesn't look vaped by a tenth. But a side by side with fresh would've helped on the comparison.

True, I could see that being just from heat being emitted rather than conduction from the screen but I dont know if thats something that can really be figured out too easily (nor that important, to me anyways) But yeah I agree @Ratchett though if anything I would think (and reallllyyy hope) if that is the case they are still able to have production moving so the second they are cleared they can ship everything out. Doesnt help the beginning backers that much but itll keep those a little further from waiting extra long. If it is something keeping production from happening then I'd be really worried... Hoping for a substantive update coming up with solid info of whats going on... but chances of that? eh :shrug:
