As the title says, do you use a whip at times with your LSV?

That is one of the joys of the unit its so darn versatile. I use a stand that holds my LSV in a vertical position so I can use a short tube as a whip or a connector to glass. Of course this means I got to listen to a buddy whine about me not buying a Surfer.

You need a third category which is sometimes. Thats me!

I agree on the versatility. I use it with all kinds of glass setups, with tamers and with/without whips. For whatever reason I rarely use it with the stock mouthpiece. I guess it's because I'm usually running it through water.

It seems to me that the whole point of the lsv is to avoid the whips that the ssv and dbv use. If I want to hit my lsv dry I use the long transfer tube, and if I want to go through water there are whip-free options. So why on earth would I want to use a whip with an lsv? Dbv/ssv envy is all I can think of, it makes no sense.

I totally agree. To me, a whip has the potential to add some taste of it's own as well as more surface area for condensation to take place, but apparently, there are some who use a whip with it. 7th Floor even offers it up as an accessory to the LSV.

I agree, grok. Makes no sense to me either.

The reason I started this poll was because of recent conversations over in the LSV thread.

Like I said over there, I like all kinds of different setups with my vapes. For the purposes of this thread here is where I normally use a whip on the LSV:

*used to feed my ice chamber. There is no alternative that I know of to feed an ice chamber but to use a whip.

*to connect a vape tamer. I also sometimes just throw the tamer right on top of the LSV and other times connect it with the whip.

*when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to hold the glass and LSV. This is particularly true while vaping in bed. Sometimes I want to leave the LSV on the desk and just deal with the weight of the glass. So I feed a whip to a WPA.

Yeah I realize this is a bit unconventional guys and most won't use theirs this way but one reason I keep so many vapes is I'm bored and like to try different things. This helps with that!

I will use a whip off the UFO/ LSV so I can keep a close eye out for combustion as I am still learning how to use the LSV properly. But never directly off the LSV yet.

I don't have an LSV...yet....but have an SSV and DBV...but I could understand why someone would want or need a whip with their LSV...to me it's simple if you don't have another whip vape..... add a whip to the LSV and now does everything it's older brothers can do and more...... for less money

With that said.... I can't remember when I used just the whip on any vape... I know I have tried a few times and thought...this doesn't compare to pulling through water....lol

So I can understand why someone would want a whip and TOTALLY understand why 7th floor sells them.

I just don't understand why you choose to use it with the other options it is capable of

Almost there...
Never even knew there was a whip option for the LSV...
I guess if it came with a cool stand of sorts so that you could use the whip hands free it would be neat.
Otherwise it is too cumbersome or it would have to be lying on the table.

Going to have to test it out now, for science of course!
