Anyone have a suggestion as to be best way to get the most out of these goodies?

Grind it up and mix with flower.

I agree with t-dub. I'm primarily a flower guy but mix with shatter and also with kief, mostly at night.

Simply adjust your flower-to-kief ratio for varying potency. But after trying kief alone myself, I found mixing with flower to be more enjoyable and necessary to get what I like out of a session involving concentrate.

Cheers, OBG, and enjoy experimenting with your kief.

Looking for a little advice . . .

I've acquired some pressed kief (Girl Scout Cookies, Dutch Treat, Blue Diesel). In the past, I mixed small amounts of the hash with finely ground flowers, to spike the load. But I wondering if there is a better way to get the kief's full strength. I don't have any nails. It was suggested that I just put a small piece in an ELB and go with that. It seems I needed more though to get full clouds, and a higher temp.

Anyone have a suggestion as to be best way to get the most out of these goodies?
I've thoroughly experimented with:
-straight kief in the regular ELB
-evenly mixed kief w/ flower
-sandwich of flower/kief/flower

Honestly, for me they all worked equally as good if the right quantities & ratios were used. Sandwiches needed very minimal flower whereas straight kief bowls seemed to be best with a decent amount of kief.

With a mixed kief/flower bowl I wouldn't mix it in the ELB - I would use a separate container or cradle thing.

Thanks guys. I tried all your suggestions, discovered the following . . .

- straight kief requires a sufficient amount in the ELB. 0.2g worked well, and this was suitable for a single ELB to last leisurely sipping through the evening. But maybe a bit too much of a head high.

- half-and-half kief w/flower. This seems to be the best ratio for me, and the most satisfying experience. I ended up with 0.1g + 0.1g. I chopped the kief fine with a razor blade, then sifted the kief bits with fine ground flower and loaded the ELB - a tad over half full. Lots of hits. More economical, too.

- I'm too uncoordinated and impatient to do the sandwich, and I didn't particularly like that ratio, either.

It'll be interesting to experiment with different strains of flower & kief.

Thx again!

Hello all

I am looking at buying an Xhale Evo I already own a minivap and mighty can anyone who also owns or has tried these compare please?

I am reading that this unit beats the MV and Mighty hands down which is really all the justification I need!

Also any recommendations on which water tool I should get?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

@stickstones apologies I had been watching a video and in the broadest sense I meant bettered the aforementioned in terms of density of vapour and taste but also whilst lacking the usual dryness. 3 of the most important considerations for me.

I find the MV quite dry I cannot use it without a WT.

Thanks anyway for the reassurance I shall save my $ in which case.

I push just about everything through water, and I feel like you with the MV...too harsh without a modification of some sort. The Evo will definitely check all the boxes you mentioned (taste, density, moisture conditioned), but so will the MV with a bubbler of some sort. But if I take the Evo and invert it on a bubbler and then do the same with the MV, I get satisfied with either!

I've gotten a piece fixed that was broken in the same area as yours, at a local headshop that blows their own glass. They charged me 60$ but it was super noticeable. Not the best of jobs. But at least it worked again.

So it seems VXL is emptying their vault of old hydratubes.

They evolver straight neck hydratree is sold out, but they've just put up the HydraCirc.

I LOVE :luv: my VXL straight neck HydraCirc, I can only assume the evolver will be just as nice...
Don't miss out :)

Once again I agree with @stickstones that the Mini and EVO are more similar than different.

They both get a lot of play time in my rotation but probably reach for the Minivap a touch more because it's cordless.

I tend to start my sessions dry though and for my taste I give the edge to the EVO simply because I can start at a lower/more comfortable temp. and I have more control over the range.

The only thing else I would add I like the way the EVO handles dab sessions with the nails. This is an experience the Minivap cannot offer.

In the end they are both excellent choices but having both in your arsenal is no doubt a luxury rather than necessity.

Does anyone happen to have both the quartz and glass nails?

I called my local smoke shop and was told they had a glass for 25. When I went in, I saw 2 wrapped up with a printed label 2 nails for 100. the guy wasn't 100% sure, the owner wasn't there. But I'm pretty sure I had read, prob in this thread, that the quartz had a rounded curved feeling at the bottom, and that's what I was checking for.

Ended up buying 1 for 50. guy also seemed really chill and said check out online pics and compare, so I have to wait till Thursday for FedEx to deliver my evo anyway but I def wanna make sure if this is really quartz before I use it. I'll prob just end up getting 25 back or another nail if it's glass.

But could someone please compare and see if there are any distinct differences between the glass and quartz so I can tell if this is really quartz?

aw man.. got the glass version. went back to the store but no refunds, so I couldn't just get $25 back... just got the 2nd nail.. ugh really wanted quartz and just one.

Mine will combust at 3 o'clock with a half packed ELB. So I assume that 3 & above are for concentrates which I rarely use. This suits me fine so I run it at 2 & it maintains that temperature without overheating. I haven't checked auto shutoff because I can't make it that far. My cord is a bit wobbly but it's tight so it's not problem. To me this is how a correctly operating Evo should run, but then again I don't know stuff so correct me if I'm wrong.
This is what I've come to learn as well. I run mine at 1:30-2, and sometimes I go down to noon for an extra tasty hit or if a friend with lower tolerance wants a go. I was able to combust at 3 a few times actually, but that was with an earlier Evo with an original bamboo and old firmware. I've just replaced it but I haven't gone past 2 out of habit (and the fact that I haven't come across concentrates here in Chicago :() so no idea if it still will or not.

Google 805glassrepair
Will do. Thanks!

Is this the best vaporizer money can buy? Ive got an Extreme Q but it doesnt seem to hit the spot really :\
The best vaporizer for you may not be the best for someone else.

But yes this is generally held in high regard by many of the educated FC population.

You should check out @DDave 's mod for the Q. Its a small investment to make which might satisfy you and let you save your $$ for material.

No man....that thing looks used to me from the pictures. I would reach out to them. I am sure they will take care of you but it's weird it was sent out like this.
Maybe they will throw in some extra ELB's or something for your trouble.

I have an EVO, and a MiniVAP, and a Crafty. When I can't use my EVO then I use my MiniVAP or Crafty situation dependant. I have (and have had) many other vapes, but they sit there unused and these 3 are the only ones that I own that see any usage (I occasionally pull out my Lotus)

I actually own 2 EVO's and am looking to add a Mighty to my collection (as a longer lasting Crafty and to supplement when away from power or when vaping with multiple people)

How does it look used? I can't see any signs of usage on any of your photos.
I can't see any wear and tear on the enclosure, your bamboo look brand new clean, and your ELBs too.
I have like 6 used and 6 brand new ELBs and I can say your ELBs definitely look brand new as my brand new ones.
Used ELBS looks different, they loose their shine even after just few uses.
And no ammount of cleaning can bring that brand new shine back.
Yours are still as shiny as brand new. The brown lines are from the manufacturing process.
So if you still see some signs of usage, tell me where to look, I can't see any. I only see signs of it being brand new.
