I dont know what the going rate is for it now, but I personally wouldnt recommend paying very much for this one with the body and design as it is now, even with the latest software version. If you are dead set on it I hope you found a really good price, because the build quality is some of the worst I've experienced (so it wont last too long, unless you really baby it maybe, but, the features here just dont make up for its other issues in my opinion. unless your okay with a more disposable vape?)

+1

The company itself is nice, very responsive, good in emails, but I would not recommend this one, they are so close to....I still have to do a full review(I been busy and tired tbh) on this one but lets just say its covered in dust right now.

Besides so many new vapes coming out all the time, I am sure you can find one you like better form wise.

Anyone have any updated reviews/problems? Thinking about grabbing one, unless someone can point me another direction.

Currently have a PnP, MFLB+Power adapter, Arizer EQ

Look at new xmax/storm or FlowerMate Pro, I think theres no real point in paying any money for the HD.

I picked one up on massdrop. Not sure when it will ship, but I'll post my thoughts when it arrives.

I'm going into it with low expectations, and got it as a throwaway/loaner for friends. I figured even if it isn't that great, it might be handy to have a vape that I can loan to friends instead of my daily use portables. Might also be nice to have one that I don't care about the battery degrading if I leave it in a cold or hot car by mistake every now and then.

Make sure you clean the vapor path very often. I received one as a test unit and the mouthpiece no longer clicks open. Now when I click the mouthpiece, it pushes the unit out of its casing on the bottom. This happened after about 6 uses of the vape. I hope you have better luck with your unit.

@Shit Snacks : I know you had a terrible experience with your sample but tbh it's not that bad. It produces a good amount of vapor, has variable temperature control and a very small form factor. If it had a great taste it would be a good vape in my book... well ok, if build quality and solidity were better it would be another plus...

I still use my test unit 3/4 times per week, especially in my car and sometimes when I walk aound. I think the taste is not too bad above 200°C, at higher temp taste is a bit.... strange(?).

Clouds are nice and battery is very nice on mine!

I didn't modify anything on mine and airflow is free enough, I only use a screen as a spacer on the top of my load.
Since I use it in my car I prefer to tightly pack it with a light sativa....when I want a bit more medication I add a drop of reclaim!

I don't remenber how much it cost....but for 80-100$ it's a nice deal even if you can find cheaper I think...

Honestly my experience wasn't event terrible, once I got the mouthpiece open and cleaned its worked perfectly fine. I never ever pushed the mouthpiece down, so no issue there (until it needs to get cleaned, bc it is like fused to the unit it seems...), and with it opened up on the bottom airflow was fine for this type of vape (like indica airflow), and temp settings worked well. Oven really needs better spacers/door though, what @Vape Dr. suggested would've been perfect for big and small loads. Also mine does have the annoying vibrate always, but newer ones you can turn that off at least.

However, yes flavor is pretty poor, but that's common in these Chinese vapes. What ultimately makes it that bad to me is how the build quality is practically non existing, it has none in my opinion. I can say mine has held up is still working fine, but its not used too heavily (even though it did see a trip to NYC and a few car trips too, and use with friends) but it did get a good amount of use, and still works accordingly as I handled with fairly precise care I'd say. I think most wouldn't be that careful, and wouldn't want to be...

And despite my units sustainability in my use, you can still feel how cheap it is (and others have agreed, especially compared to some competitors). I still think the build quality, materials, and design are so poor it makes it worth zero money to me, maybe like $20 as a disposable Pax? I just would never recommend someone buy it based on the market today, I dono I guess 50-100 isn't that much either, but for a piece of electronics built like this I just dont think it warrants purchase personally, since there are much better options that will last longer for the same price (or even less? Or a little more? Depends where you buy I guess).

Yes to the question "would I recommend it to someone" I don't know if I would. If the person has enough money I would recommend the Pax 2 instead. But for someone cheap... I don't know. I would perhaps recommend the FM5 or the imag+ instead. Unfortunately the FM5-Pro will end up pricier than we expect, so it's not exactly in the same league, but I would recommend it over the three others without hesitating.

Since I got the FM5-Pro it's been one of my daily drivers and I didn't look back, great device.

Yeah, xmax has become my new favorite in this category, hopefully their v3 or whatever they end up calling it upon release will be available soon... meantime Storm is solid. Shame about FM Pro pricing, I may never get to try one

There were a few other recent entries that not many have gotten to try it seems? Their threads are tiny

@thedirtybook : I dunno? Clean it more often? Use the provided pipe cleaner? Mine hasn't clogged yet. Did you remove the silicone from your mouthpiece? Mine has been gone from day one.

Little update: the other day all my portables of choice had low battery at the same time, so I thought "why not reach for the little black brick, it's been a long time, let's give it a go!"

I did a standard 0.06g session with it, with tamped down load such that it touched the bowl screen at all times (I was careful not to shake the device too much) and it stayed in place well until the end of the session.

Vapor production was pretty fair, as I said earlier it's not a monster but it outputs consistently. What suprised me in a good way was that the taste felt better than in my memories. It was not "mmmmmh delicious" but it was alright.

I'm still not a fan of that all-metal vapor path but I got to admit it's not that bad and it's more isolated than in other Chinese cheap vapes. I don't use the HD daily but there has been several occasions where I needed stealth and small form factor and I brought it with me.

I think I prefer the HD form factor compared to the pen vapes I have (X-max v2 pro, FM VT1.0 and Herbstick Eco) because by having the vapor path take the entire lenght of the device these kind of vapes (like the FM5-Mini and the Goboof Alfa etc) allow to get a cooler vapor, which to my eyes is the #1 weak point of all pen-style vapes. The downsides are that the battery is very close to the bowl (shorter service life) and the bowl is upside down (gravity makes the puck fall and it loses contact with the conduction heating source, problem partially solved in the Alfa with the bowl "spike". The FM5-Mini on the other hand is not upside down in the first place so no problem here)

Hello vapor enthusiasts!

I am new to vaping, and this product was my first vaporizer purchased. I've got the newest version available I believe, and did a lot of research leading up to this to make sure that this would be an ideal starter vape. I have noticed a few suggestions in this thread, that helped out a lot (Remove the silicon in the mouthpiece, and drilled larger holes in the top and bottom of it as well) but I am still noticing an interesting issue that is bothering me that I did not notice anyone mention. The airflow seems quite weak at times; when I load the chamber full and run it at either 392 or 401 degrees, I can get 1-2 really good puffs off of it before I have to turn the unit off, and stir the chamber thoroughly and then restart it back up and continue for another 1-2 puffs. I have to repeat this process to get good draws, or the unit feels like you're sucking a finger and you don't get anything. I've made sure that every so often I clear out the full air path (or what I believe to be the whole thing) and scrape off the screen to make sure enough air gets through. Is there any suggestions as to what I may be able to do to get this to pull hard every time? If I could get a consistent draw, this product would be awesome, as it is though, I can't even use it with my SO or friends as it just feels so clogged after almost every puff. Thanks in advance for any help!
