You guys who see lights blinking, you either got the old version of Haze or you got a defect in there. I would contact Haze and they always take care of the items quick. I own every single version and you cannot hit it hard enough to get reheating feedback on the new 2.5. If you are not getting vapor at setting 3, you should contact Haze.

Well i know i don't have a old unit, Because i have had all the production models to date, And they came from Haze direct.

I know it's heating properly because i did have a unit not heat properly. The 2.5 i have performs the best overall for me, So in my specific case the lights is a good thing, I'm one of the few that liked the blink feedback on V1. I figured it was a malfunction on 2.5 because it only blinks on level 3 and 4 once heated, But like i said i like that feature or malfunction on the 2.5, And it heats properly so i'm fine with it.

I think i will go ahead and jump on the pay it forward when V3 comes out, Is there any info on when we may see the next Haze?

Hi Guys

Thank you for your comments and inquiries. The key chain accessory holder will be available in 2 weeks time. We will confirm here once we start shipping them out. The final sample of the carry case also arrived yesterday and looks great. We will share pictures by Monday and it will also be available for sale in 3 weeks or so. Again, we will confirm here and on our website.

All of our cans and mouthpieces are made of high grade stainless steel. One of the members contacted us about receiving a can from a seller which looked different than our cans. We are currently investigating this and we asked the customer to share some information on this. If we are dealing with a counterfeit situation, we will take the necessary legal action against this immediately.

Please note that our product is getting mainstream attention (thanks to you all for sharing your experience and feedback) and currently sold/offered at so many various platforms which is extremely difficult for us to control on a consistent basis for each seller. We appreciate all your help and effort with these so we can make sure that all current and future customers receive the quality, genuine products and top shelf service that we demand from all sellers.

As usual, we appreciate every single one of you guys.

Hi, Haze. Input appreciated! Say, I haven't seen your email yet so it's possible my email address got mixed. Please feel free to pm me. I'd be happy to mail the odd cans to you for your examination. I'll pick up the shipping and you can keep the cans. I don't have the packaging anymore so I can't be certain which of your auth'd sellers sent these. It was one of two, though. The unit's working well - update is separate topic so that'll be below.

Thanks again!

My Haze Update: This'll get too lengthy so I'll give ya' the short version first: It's really working well - my brain was cooked this a.m. on w&b.

Context: I've always had issues with smoking so I never have - and never vaped 'til now. So this input is from a lightweight with almost no mj tolerance. However, last month I seemed to have a ?transferrable? mj tolerance somewhat due to long term script pain med poison that I no longer take. I guess I'm saying I'm not sure where my T is - probably not heavy, though.

Last night: Setting 3 on the other oven came to temp in very similar time as 3 on the first oven. This was with MK Ultra shatter. 2 hits to get things vaping then 4 more medium hits. No visible vapor but some minimal milking in the glass. Good intense high with a lot of interesting effects. :leaf: Me likee. With both ovens, no detectable odor from the Haze electronics - and no blinking of the lights during hits. The first charging of 1st Haze XL battery still acts strong through session 3. This once again had me well baked. I slept well for 4 hours but awoke due to some serious problems causing decades of insomnia. More about this in "tonight's insomnia plan".

This a.m.: 7:30 a.m. hit the chem bread shatter on the first oven using setting 4. Still no perceptible odor being added by the electronics and I'm very happy about that! No visible vapor on exh but heavy milking of the glass. So I did the 2/4 hit thing as above - ruh-roh. :brow: If I had any doubts, within 25 mins I was baked and by 1 hour I was totally screwface. :freak: I napped on and off and within another hour, I was lovin' the effects again. Took 'til about now (1 p.m.) to get to where I could type without screwin' everything up and wasting a lot of time on the giggles.

I think probably I don't have the skills yet to put out clouds - but that's not my thing anyway. I wanted the Haze to be able to med me quickly and it can do that in spades.

Because of my lifelong smoking aversion and a former fiancee, I am so glad that vaping tastes nothing like the smell of brickweed joints. That aside, back to update:

Tonight's insomnia plan: My first mj experience was last month with a home extracted EC190 GD. 3/4 of the time, the stuff would make me sleep the sleep of the innocent through the entire night. That hadn't happened in 25 years. Extremely cool - like some cosmic gift. So today I decarbed a 'spare' gram of MK Ultra shatter (it buddered during the decarb) and dissolved it in an ounce of EC190 for a quick and dirty dragon.

Tonight, I'll take a smallish dose of the improvised dragon and hit the same strain on the Haze (a setting 4 test of the other oven) to potentiate the dragon and put me down for bed time. Will probably cut the Haze setting 4 sesh in half tonight compared to this a.m. - that was too much for me right now. :mental: See if I can capture another of those elusive long blissful nights of restorative sleep, eh?

'k, that's my update for now.

p.s.: The owner's guide for my Haze has the little "v2.5" on it, so while it was already pretty clear, this is the correct revision.

The bent mouthpiece, Nu-SONG and hydrotube play extremely well together on my Haze. I hold the haze/mp/Nu-SONG in L hand; h-tube in R hand; join the two for each hit - easily separate after the hits. The stand for the tube hasn't arrived yet so I'm using a roll of tp as a safety stand for now. This combo lacks the table top convenience of a whip/bubbler - but it's darned portable!

Thank you. Just sent you a PM.

Hi, Mich. Haze's dedication to the health of your family of customers outlined in your kind pm means a lot to me. Much appreciated!

As per your request: Closeup pics (2 angles) sent via pm of genuine cans next to questionable cans for direct comparison purposes - along with the possibly disparate weights. Please feel free to use the pics as you deem necessary.

If you decide you want the 'lightweight cans', please pm me the contact info to get these direct to you and I'll ship 'em priority mail. edit: I may have found the packaging and it appears not identical. So if I send in the cans, I'll send you the 2 dissimilar packages along with the names of the 2 sellers I bought from.

Recap of can weights for Haze thread brethren:

Genuine SS cans: .65g each without lid (range I've measured is .65 to .67g)
Cans in question: .37g each without lid (range measured .37 to .37 - sample of 2)
My scale's repeatability is limited to about .02g

When dropped from a height of an inch onto a mirror, the genuine SS cans ring like steel sheet metal whereas the questionable cans have an almost dead ring like a soft metal - about like what I would expect from aluminum.

The V3?

Oh, you mean the V 2.75? The one with the owner controlled temp dial, battery indicator, and a mini/micro charge port, so you wont have to manhandle your battery each time it needs to be charged. A bright 200 Lumen light also, perhaps, to light up when you are enhazed....

Let's save the V3 designation to a bigger leap in its evolution. Just saying.

PS Or, these minor changes could be incorporated, some, into the revolutionary V3.0....

Ok Im fairly sure I have the most recent version of the Haze but how do you tell what model you do have? Im curious in part because of the upgrade program.

These are the answers you seek, unless yours is stealth black. That's the easiest answer. The box I received also as a v2.5 label on the side as was mentioned.

I think someone said its on the book that came in the box, but don't have mine handy to check.

And I could be wrong here but I think the 2.5 (newest) has an added silicone? piece (with a raised cross shape) at the bottom of the MP chamber/air path to try and help with the sticking MP.

Didn't haze discontinue the CD for v2.5 also?

I finally tried an unprotected 18650 in my Haze, harvested from an old laptop battery pack. I used a US dime as a spacer on the negative terminal spring. I just dropped it in and got it laying flat on the spring. I was not pleased with the performance, even though it did work and reached setting 3 oven temp. The lights would flash after only about 3 seconds of draw and it would take about 15 seconds to reheat.

The dime was adding resistance and it may not have provided enough contact or thickness to make a solid loop. The dime came out slightly warm. The old battery may be playing into the equation but can't be certain. I do know that it worked with an unprotected 18650, even if it wasn't very well. I just had to know. :science:

Made a little Haze bubbler with the help of a little silicone tubing (1/4" ID 3/8" OD). The tubing also fits a MFLB which is pretty convenient.

Took my Haze to the drive in last night for a triple feature. Took a backup battery and didn't even need it! The Haze was absolutely perfect for this adventure and I can't wait to get more cans and the new holder to make loading and unloading the cans a breeze. First time using the steel mouthpiece as well and I was quite impressed yet again, thanks Haze Tech I'm thinking of buying another now, b/c I was that impressed!

Thanks for the replies on how to find the version number. I do have the 2.5 as I expected. I was wondering because I have enough of a problem with the stem sticking that I no longer carry it in the Haze. Its a minor inconvenience. Hopefully they can get that figured out for the next version.

The change more made it slightly better, it didn't really "fix" the issue, I never had the 2 but would assume it started sticking much sooner than currently.

Where is the best place online to order Haze XL batteries? Is it really worth it to pay $30 US for a set of two XL batteries? I wouldn't want to void the Haze warranty, so I'd stick with OEM parts. So far VaporSeller dot com is where I've found the best pricing, but I'd like to know if someone here has found better. (It's Memorial Day today but no sales on on Haze parts it seems. Too new yet perhaps.)

Tip: if you begin the ordering process but then leave after having provided your email address, they will email you a 5% coupon code.

I'm interested in the XL batteries because I'm in AZ where it's very hot and it seems batteries just don't last as long out here maybe because of the heat?

I'm a tad confused about charging. Is topping them off in the OEM charger a good or bad thing for them? If you see the red blinking light on the Haze, is that just a warning that the battery life is coming to an end? I imagine if the battery was completely dead, you'd have no lights at all, right? I ask because I wonder if draining them completely is bad.

Is it bad for the batteries to keep reaching that red light?

I read somewhere it takes about 4 hours to charge the batteries in the charger but then somewhere else that said let them charge for one extra hour. All these different points of view on batteries is just confusing so I'm kinda looking for some advice here on how to get the most out of my batteries especially if I'm going to spend $15 just on one! Seems like a steep price, why do they cost so much?

I'm sorry I'm so full of questions!

I am loving my orchid Haze. The drawing is so so so much easier than my Arizer Solo. Now that it's become easier, I'm medicating more so I want to get more multi-purpose cans along with some extra batteries. Where's the best place to get those? I did get a set for $8.99 US. Wish I could find that sale again. I hate to sound so cheap, but medication is so expensive in AZ! (and I'm frugal ;)

Here's a little tip I'd like to share about the tricky battery door cover: cut off a small piece from one of those freebie promotional jar opener rubbery things you have laying around the house. I cut a piece in a size slightly larger than my thumb and keep it in my travel pouch along with my other tools or I just stick it in the same pocket as the spare battery. When it comes time to change the battery, sometimes it is very tricky for me, but having this tiny little rubber gripper helps me pop open the battery door much easier. It would be great if Haze redesigned that part of the battery door to have a grip on it. Anyhow, I hope that tip helps someone!

Yes heat plays a big part in battery life.

I'm a tad confused about charging. Is topping them off in the OEM charger a good or bad thing for them? If you see the red blinking light on the Haze, is that just a warning that the battery life is coming to an end? I imagine if the battery was completely dead, you'd have no lights at all, right? Is it bad for the batteries to keep reaching that red light?

The red light is like an alert to let you know you ain't got long left, if you see it, finish your bowl and put a fresh battery in, going to the red light shouldn't make much difference to battery life, but if you want to get the very best out of them not running them flat and shorter top offs should give this, although IMO they are user changeable and should last a good while so I just use them and enjoy them, also the batteries are protected so can only run/work within the range Haze set them to.
In a hot place IMO the OEM charger is probably best as it charges at a slower rate so kinder to the battery.

The extra hour thing is normally just for the first charge or if left for extended periods, for normal use once all lights are solid there done, I think haze recommend charging overnight in the book for the first charge, but for me if I'm charging batteries I'm like a fly around shit :shit: no way I'm sleeping, but that's more down to the way my head works :freak: as there is more than one level of protection in place to stop anything bad happening, like I say I have the kind of head that thinks what if this, this and this all fail lol

To get the most out of your batteries it depends what your after, for longer runtime before charging, charge them full and change when red light shows, for overall battery life IMO top offs would be best as shorter charges at a low rate (the OEM charger) will be kinder to the battery, but don't worry too much that you don't enjoy the experience

The batteries haze use are good quality (bit of talk over last few pages) Panasonic NCR18650BE with button top added to connect a nice PCB and well put together (although I've only checked one I'm confident the rest are also) I think mine were £20-£22 and for this I'm happy with the usage I see myself getting from them

So, to be clear, this is what it looks like if you peal away the Haze casing, correct? I read that if you peel away the Haze-branded casing they will no longer work. Why is that or is it really true?

Would these work in the Haze even though they don't have the Haze-branded casing?:
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-NCR...id=1432612278&sr=8-7&keywords=18650+NCR18650B

Would using these non-branded batteries void Haze's original warranty even though the model number and 3400 mAh is the same? They look identical except without the Haze-branded casing on them so would they still work?

What does "protected" mean in this instance?

The Haze-branded batteries cost $29.99 US. A set of these currently costs $22.95 US. Are we paying $7.04 more for the branded version or is it really a superior product?

(It looks like the "protected" button part costs a few extra bucks. The kind with a flat end (assuming this from the product images) without the "button" cost $18.95 US + free shipping)

I'm no battery expert, it seems others are in here. But I believe the protection is so you don't put the battery in wrong and fry something. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Also the protection board thing adds a couple mm's so batteries without it may not make a proper connection.

This subject was discussed several times in the past and I actually discussed this with Haze a while back. Their PCB protection circuit is using a custom setup which regulates voltage in a specific way. This also explains why one of the members who tried other products, did not see the same results and lowered performance. I would not risk the integrity of $250.00 product over $7.00 savings. Vaporseller.com is providing a 5% discount, Haze themselves have an FC discount as well I believe. Somebody also mentioned PIF given discount. I would choose one of the authorized sellers and spend the extra $7.00 on a genuine battery.
