ISO and then a white vinegar bath the rinsed with some distilled water has gotten all the smokey flavor out of all my glass every time. Add some salt to the ISO if you have stuck on resin. My friends like to combust with my 15", so I just let them now since that combo deals with leftover tastes/smells so well.

Is there any special directions for water pipes with double filtration? Thanks as well for the advice will be giving an iso and vinegar bath later

Vapor comes out after the 5 seconds of heating. And continues coming after that. If you haven't seen my video I'd check it out for some comparisons.

Hey dude is that just a random plumbing fitting you use to adapt the VG classic bowl for a water pipe? I tried to rig up something myself with an old metal pipe bowl, but the threads were off by a fraction :(

This post is pretty informative. If you click on the up arrow it will take you to the actual post where there should be quotes and pics.

Its tube to fip couple insert I found at home depot for less than 4 dollars thanks to momatik, it fits 14mm glass quite well, it may get position locked with the threads but I have never had any glass break or crack from it. If someone pushes it in hard it can be a problem to get out.

Cool, thanks a lot :) Also thanks for the tip (another thread maybe?) about using the VG as a healthstone for concentrates. I've tried a few micro-dabs for science and I was very happy with the results :freak:. Any do's/don'ts that come to mind with this tech?

I enjoyed having the coil, only got rid of it, because it was collecting dust with all my other flame vapes around, and figuring out I can make my own version of the VG using all glass parts... so I let it go, but you will most likely enjoy having it as a manual back up vape, it works quite well, just be careful not to overheat it. Good thing about the SS wire is it cleans easily with an Iso soak, so if you do combust while learning to use it, you won't have as much trouble getting the taste out.

What parts did you use to make your own all glass vapor genie ? I've been trying to make one myself.

you can use a J hook + reducer with a sanded down to fit heathstone (stone) in the reducer to diffuse the heat. I used a healthstone pipe and reducer... I just have to suspend the tension ring and screen inside the pipe... not sure if you can manage that with a J hook, but that's how mine works.

Thanks for the idea bro! Nice stoner Mcguyver skills! I don't have a healthstone pipe, but I do have an extra glass wand for my box whip vaporizer that was too big to fit. I was thinking about buying a vap o bowl that would fit in it and use it as a glass bat. I've never used a vap o bowl before though, but from what I've read I think it would work. Also thanks to everyone else for the input I'm still kinda new to vaping and still haven't stopped smoking because I haven't found anything that beats the convenience of a nice blunt or even my one hitter dugout. I do love the taste and the high of vaping much better though so, I appreciate all the info.

The only thing I ever use to clean my glass and it works awesome!!

VERY HOT WATER + OXY-CLEAN =

That's only because you've never used Powdered Brewery Wash. Basically Oxy-clean with surfactants. buffers (pH balance), cheating agents (so it works even in very hard water) and other improvements. A completed 'engineered detergent'. It was developed to remove just the sort of hydrocarbon junk we're interested in from brew kettles and plumbing (where you can't scrub). Try it once and you'll return the OC to the laundry room.

BTW, try a spoonful in the dishwasher, you'll be amazed what it does to the deposits on the walls.....

No and No..... There is always something better...

Thanks for the clarification. I guess we differ, if I give advice based on what I'm doing but know there's potentially a better option out there I include that.

For the record, I've tried both. While OC is useful, PBW is much more so. Which is why, I think, there's a tread on it that's nearly a thousand posts long? I think detergents can be better than solvents, and as detergents go PBW is the call.

Also commonly sold in 'home brewing' stores near you.

So glad you are around.... You are almost like an Internet Superhero!! :goon:
