Discontinued miVape by Vaporfection

I think the Solo's 12 minute shutoff is too fast.

Like the miVape's predecessor, the viVape2.
So they already have the technology and the know how. I might send them an email giving them this suggestion, I think it could really help their vape sell, it's a feature few others have and it's easy to do.

I emailed Vaporfection about the launch date, and I was told they are still on track for a June launch.

Dan let me know they are following the FC thread, and have been reading the questions/comments and taking things to heart. They mentioned reading @namasteIII's suggestions and are making some improvements such as being able to change the auto shut-off timer. They also let me know they are here to answer any and all questions, and they can be reached via Phone: 866-997-6111 or they can be reached via Email: support@vaporfection.com

It's not a deal breaker but simply an inconvenience. What I'd truly like to see is a customizable auto shutoff timer.

I've been saying this ever since I got my first portable man. We need to let these manufacturers know this is an essential feature.

Edit: I do think it looks good, but I would have been willing to pay more for an all-metal casing.

I 100% agree I feel like we have waiting so long that at this point I have no problem waiting a bit longer in order to make this as perfect as it can be.

Yes, well, I've learned my lesson with respect to pre-ordering. At this point I'm just glad the miVape actually materialized. I hope it still works with 220V.

There is also this:
EDIT: I've just been informed that the initial version of the miVape will not have pass-through capability. Additionally, the auto-shutoff feature will be able to be set from 4 to 10 minutes in 2 minute increments.

On the bright side, not only is the review promising, from the photos it seems that the reviewer used herb that wasn't even ground up. So hopefully, the miVape will be even more efficient.

Just saw update by the OP on reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/36sxzf/as_promised_my_review_of_the_mivape/crhps8j

To vaporfection, thank you it's really cool to see something I posted 2 hours ago be implemented it the vape. However don't stop there, this is a feature that to me seems so simple and I'm excited to see it become a reality, but please just go a bit further with it. I know I speak for more than my self when I say that 10 minutes is not enough. Maybe it is, and that is the Beauty of customizable auto shutoff so please for the love of vapeorizers, give us more than 10 minuets and maybe if your in a really good mood let it be adjustable by 1 minute.

Also on a side note, why not join in the discussion? It looks like your taking peoples criticisms to heart and are doing you best to address them so you might as well get right to the source of critiques. Plus I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to be able to ask you questions.

Aren't they still banned?

10 minutes seems like a limitation on the unit/battery over heating? HipVap has adjusting it in 2min increments a main feature with a dedicated button, but it also can only go up to 10 ..

And what about low temps I wonder, and how long does a bowl really last, no point fr the session to go longer than the bowl can fully packed...

The replaceable batteries could easily make up for not being able to use whole charging, would be nice to see what they look like though and how much they cost (charging outside of the vape possible? etc)

In the 11th pic , it shows the glass pods having holes
at the bottom along with holes on the sides . How would
you prevent leakages from doing pure concentrates as advertised .
Unless those screens are padded .

I do like the glass pods for herbs tho , but it doesn't look like
it's made for fine grind . I wonder how maintenance on the heater and
air path will be or how fast it'll take to accumulate or clog .
The swivel mp is cool looking , idk if can hold up after real usage .

Like others , I will wait until some FC members review it .
Plus , I can't believe how there were NO talk after their
recent appearance at the C-cup , from anybody ...

A bowl can last almost as long as you want if you put it at low temp. Even more so (if) it's only convection air heating your herb (aka the herb not constantly cooking while in the bowl), as you can take longer or shorter breaks between tokes.

I'm not saying it should be done now, since the mivape is probably finalized (at least the first version). But it would be cool to have the option to turn off the auto-shut down on any portable vape. A wider range than 0-10min, would also provides more control/customization to the user.

^And even more so, I assume, if the vape is attached to a water filter, so that the THC doesn't simply evaporate and disperse. I always need to restart my Solo once or twice during a single session. No need to rush it. Why chug a bottle of fine wine?

Yeah if it is really pure convection, but we dont know yet

And this should be must faster extraction than Solo anyhow, unless it uses just as much conduction....

It would be nice if Vaporfection joined the conversation or updated their website for more information on the MiVape.....I have one pre-ordered but I have a lot of questions and the only review that's out, dosent go into much detail and I'm not even sure if that's the final production version either. Dan said a few other units are out there for reviews so I am watching for those and the MiVape is scheduled for release this month but I don't know if I can count on that

This was taken from the only MiVape review out there on vaporizer-review.com:

"While it’s not quite the final production version, it’s pretty close to what will be shipping out in June."

I have no idea what they plan on changing but there is a rumor from vapornation.com that the models they have for display and maybe the one in the review too, are mostly plastic and the production version's silver band around the MiVape and it's hinge mechanism, will be metal....Just a rumor, though I hope its true.
