Yea I don't think this is the vape for me due to potential harshness so I'm definitely not preordering it, just wanted to let people who may be interested know about a new release date.

Do the pictures worry anybody else? Especially the one inside the unit of what looks like the heating area, I just don't see how that makes for a convection unit.

I don't know if it has been posted here. Here's a 15sec video of people using the miVape last month.

I'm looking forward for a 100% convection portable vaporizer with temp control. User replacable battery is great too. I hope it can be used while plugged in and can be efficient with small quantity of herb, below 0.05g, like my nano and mflb.

This vape has been in "R&D stage" for a long time. Hopefully they have perfected it.

And I like that it does concentrates too.

I just found out the temp range. It's 300-400 F which for me is disappointing as I would to go higher and lower that and at points.

It's supposed to be true convection. How does that work?

Wow, after seeing all the claims made by vaporfection in that video we had a month ago. I started to slowly lose faith, it just looked too perfect however after that review consider my faith restored. Still though I've got questions and will remain skeptical till the full release. My main question is about the 100 % convection claim. I want it to be ture but I'm not ready believe until multiple reviews confirm it. Still though, color me excited!

Good question. From the image, it seems like conduction through glass to glass to herb contact. In this youtube video:

You can see at about 0.07sec, there's a gray area at the bottom of the glass bowl and one at the top. The top must be the air vent hole for the mouth piece. The bottom maybe the air vent hole carrying hot air from the heating chamber. I'm just speculating. Maybe in the image we can't see the hole(s) because of the angle.

It's great to have the early review, but for Vaporfection to let this one out into the wild, did you not think it would be biased? I would be very surprised to hear a negative review on a product that has yet been released, as these early birds are for reviewers. It's a promising write up, but still too many unknowns with respect to the heating style, it appears (like S&B), that it will simply be another combo of conduction and convection, which i'm totally down with. I love my Mighty, but this could be a great addition with that removable battery.

What holds the mouthpiece? Is that plastic? It appears like it's painted plastic?

Does anyone feel the 6 minute
auto shutoff is to fast. It's not a deal breaker but simply an inconvenience. What I'd truly like to see is a customizable auto shutoff timer, just use the plus and minus buttons to set the default time for auto shutoff. This is an easy innovation that I would love to see become the norm in the vape industry.

That would be a cool feature, but even the Crafty only has a boost preset...it would be nice to triple click for another temp, and so on but I guess the manufacturer does what it feels is best.

I'm totally okay with the 6 minutes, since my Mighty cuts out after a minute! It would be good to reset it without turning it on and off though, like the Mighty/crafty.

I like vapes with no timer shutoff, only based on lack of motion. There are not enough of them out there like this!
