You're welcome. The wait will pass, a week from now I bet you think it was worth the wait.

Time to start thinking back up vape?

OF

Not for a while! Although I really like the Mighty and the Crafty! Maybe it would be a good christmas present to myself. But I appreciate all the things you mentioned, If i come across any issue, I will def ask you guys.

Your call, but IMO that's an awful lot like Air, and serious bucks. I think your backup should be fun to use in it's own right and need not be too much money. For instance, MFLB, VG or a personal favorite VG are all great vapes IMO and under a hundred bucks?

You listed VG twice, it must be a personal favorite.....

Some would say the Air would be the backup to the Mighty!

I just picked up the Vapium Summit as a backup to the Air. It's very convenient, self-contained, no glass to fool with, and can kick a$$. Variable temp, very little smell, $149. Flavor not even close to the Air, but more stealthy.

Maybe I think a guy should have (at least) two? There are two styles, exotic woods, one reserved for concentrates, laser engraving......

It's early here and I could be a little confused :hmm: but it sounds like when you said VG so many times you might have meant VM ? (vapman) if you did I have to agree  it's the cheapest vape I own and also my most used, and the new station adds so many options  I use it more than my Air, Crafty, Haze, Firefly, SSV or lily, it's also the only vape I own two of.

Still love my Air and it will always have a place in my line up, but options are nice.

Yep, I did mean VM......SDMG does that to me sometimes, it's really his fault you know.

While I use VGs sometimes (the big Bronze and hand carved being favorites in that order) the Vapman sees much more use for sure. More so since the concentrate screens, more still with the Heating Station up until today's recall.....

I like VG but VM more?

Thanks for keeping me honest.

I was initially tempted by the VM but I can't wrap myself around needing the torch. Too much like having to use a lighter with combustion. Then that station really caught my attention, until I clicked on the link and saw the hefty price. So I'm back looking at the enano, to have one plug in for those occasions when I'll be able to use one and a portable (my AA) for all other moments.

The VM station's been recalled?

So... VG = vapor genie?? I had to google to figure out what you guys were talking about LOL

I like the idea of the Vapor genie and vapman.... No batteries/power needed.... But it seems like you would go through a crap ton of butane if you use it a few times a day??. And Butane, the good stuff anyways, isnt extremely cheap... I watched a couple videos (vapman) and it seems you have to light it for a while, then keep lighting it every so often between hits.

I think id get tired of buying butane honestly. Last can of butane i bought was around 10 bucks, Vector 14 refined, and you can get a battery for the Air from centizen (sp?) for like 11 bucks if i remember right and that lasts a LONG TIME.

My favorite lighter, IM Corona old boy, uses butane of course.. but its a soft flame lighter with a big fuel reservoir and it last quite a while as i dont try and torch my herbs, even when combusting.

Of course i could just be talking out my ass because i have never used a VG or VM so i dont know how much butane you actually go through....

Yep, you broke the code. The Sargent at Arms will send you the details of the secret hand sign by PM.....after you swear the loyalty oath, of course. Next chance for that is the June 2 full moon, plenty of time. Keep your eye on PM. Congrats.

In a rare serious vein I wouldn't sweat the fuel cost. I started out putting 'the good stuff' in my not too appropriate lighters. I came to understand you want a moderately broad but small size flame (avoid pinpoint and cigar lighters) is important to good control/results. And large capacity is a plus (my stormproof ran dry annoyingly often), but dont' go nuts on it if you want to pocket it. And fuel consumption is suprisingly low, my initial can of '$5 fuel' I got for Iolite but didn't use, lasted a LONG time.

Here's my suggestion, order a couple of these $3 lighters (shipped) and try 'em? Use the cheapest fuel around in them (as I have) without conscience problems. While I have yet to have any problems, it's three bucks?

OK, so I lied. It's $2.81 not $3, you can keep the extra.

I think both VG and VM offer a new and fun dimension to vaping. In both cases you're control fo the heat, not some machine. No electricity. Just fire, and my ancestors have been using it since they climbed down out of the trees. VG is more responsive, you can modify it 'on the fly' within the hit, where VM is 'heat, suck it and see'. VG means you breathe the dreaded 'Butane fumes' (which IMO don't exist.....yeah, I know....). If you're shy about water vapor or CO2 there's VM with it's "heat over there, hit over here" technology.

You own it to yourself......and it's smart business to have a backup.....

Well folks !
Been six months since I've owned the Arizer Air (and 1 year since joining this forum !).
No problems, stems still fit in just as tight (I always allow the unit to fully warm up before inserting them), and performance is same, with same great taste.
Slight discoloration of heating chamber. No big deal for me.
What a fantastic unit.
Oh, and I've USED this Air quite a bit. Impossible to say how many ounces have truly gone thru it.
Vape on, fellow air-heads !

 Even with heavy use I don't get through a lot, and maybe comparable to heavy charging costs?

Part of the reason I went with the VM, although after educating myself on butane I bought a Lily (straight through air path, hit while you torch)

Slight discoloration of heating chamber. No big deal for me.

And just to stay on topic a little  depending on what the discolouration is caused by, I am finding magic eraser a really good cleaner (better and quicker results than ISO) I'm many of my bowls Air included.

Nice to hear all is still good, have to say I'm impressed with the failure rate  (although I realise FC is just a small % of Airs owned) it does seem to be one of the most reliable portables out there right now.

Hey follow FCers. Got back from holidays to find a little present arrived from DHGate.

IMG_20150521_110831_zpsbeydcryg.jpg

A very cool addition for sure. Kudos to OF for posting the link.
I lucked out big time on the normal slight imperfections related to the process. The inside tubes are all straight and centered with perfect lengths. Completely spill proof and still can't see any of the water sticking which has been mentioned by others. Only imperfection is the top has a little nipple protrusion. Guess I could grind it off and torch easy enough. But no big deal as is.
Already did a cleaning with no problem. Used the Brewers cleaner without any trouble.

Found that the included metal ego adapter useful as well. I happened to have a broken stem which was broken on the longer part and the bowl was intact. I again lucked out in that it fits just very slightly more snug than the supplied stem.
I punched out the center part of the Ego adapter. This is normally the positive contact for the supplied atomizer. (garbage) This opens it up for airflow. I then used my old buddy J-B Weld to bond the glass bowl to the adapter. J-B Weld is rated to 500 degree F so should be fine for any off gassing. If anyone thinks different please jump in. Also, I avoided the J-B Kwik Weld as the temperature rating drops to 300 degrees F. Which in theory would still likely borderline safe.

IMG_20150521_110425_zpsfzekir7w.jpg

The result is a stem that plugs directly into the little bubbler. And it also has a 510 thread to further the incognito posing as an ecig. A cheap 510 atomizer and pop the center out the same as done with the adapter.

Definitely very pleased for under $15 delivered. And a great way to start my first session in 10 days....

Thanks for the input, and safe is always the best policy. The amount of any exposed epoxy is quite minimal as the fit is not overly loose. In fact I could not find any gasket material thin enough to fit the space. (even heat shrink tubing was too thick) Epoxy in general is pretty solid in this regard. Or at least I believe it is.
Having someone like @OF to yay or nay this point would be great.

Hard to say for sure from here, but I'm with you. High temperature would be my concern (WRT to failure), any exposed surface is sure to get sealed up by condensate on the first few hits and it's in an area that will never get completely cleaned?

Being as there's lots of metal to conduct the heat away, I suspect the glue sees very modest temperature rise, but that is worth checking?

Next time you could buy extra insurance perhaps with a wrap or two of PTFE tape on the very end of the glass? That is depend on the epoxy bead outside to hold things in place? If there's enough room, you can pack the tape in sealing the gap before the glue using a needle?

I think it's clever, and recommend enjoying.

Hey guys. Are there any experienced MFLB users here who can give me a good comparison of these two vapes? I love my box so much, but I'm looking for something a little bit more potent. I just purchased the E-Nano to help with desktop potency (despite my PA from MFLB), and am looking to up my portability game. Any ideas?

I have no experience with the MFLB, mostly due to the design, but i have used the Air for several months with great success both home, and out hiking/camping etc. Its a great portable, and especially at the price they are at now, its quality far exceeds its price!!

Hey @OF mind taking a look here??.... http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapor-residual-harder-to-clean-off-glass.18338/

Hi guys quick question, I just got my arizer air and noticed something weird. When the unit is plugged in and charging. the bottom led light flash green for 1 second then start flashing a turquoise color when the heater is heating up. When the set temperature is reached it will stay a solid turquoise but will also flash blue. So for example when heating up it will go turquoise-no color-turquoise-co color... When the temp id reached it will start going turquoise-blue-turquoise-blue-... This only happens when plugged in. When on without the charger its normal like flashing blue when heating up and solid blue when ready to vape. Have any of u guys experienced something like this?
