Hello Everyone!

I have had my crafty for less than a month. 15 happy hours on it. not a single compain. The Battery is just perfect :| You dont like it? too bad.

What an investment

This is my first portable vaporizer and my second vaporizer ever after a used digital volcano which I owned a year ago (I absolutely adored it). This little naughty has all my volcano had and it also fits in my pocket.

I got a great deal from TorontoVaporizer on my crafty as well. 339 CAD for crafty+50$ Zeus Bold ? grinder.( Which I wouldn’t pay more than 30$ for it. I’m a cheap person). I received a call a day after ordering to make sure that my address is correct. Then I was offered a free upgrade to their Expedited shipping Parcel ($15). What a great Service. Wow!

So my crafty ended up costing me less than 300 Cad which is less than 250 usd! I had sold my volcano for 20$ more than what I paid for as well.

I got an adapter from @mike and a fc-cake on the way as well.

which glass do you guys suggest for the primary vape unit for crafty?

Thanks

Hi,
Has anyone got the Crafty app working on the Galaxy Note 4?
I just ordered the Crafty and heard the app doesn't work on the Note 4.
I've search Google for ages and cannot seem to find a definitive answer.

Doesn't look like it is one of the officially supported devices:

I'd be surprised though that it wouldn't work considering the Note II does and other devices that probably run the same version of software are supported.

On the app's page in the Google store there is a review that states that it's not working on the Note 4, that's why I thought I'd ask here.
BTW, I'm on Android 5.0.1 if it makes any difference.

I assume you mean this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ligi.vaporizercontrol on page 189?
I did see that but someone on the Note 4 and Lollipop said it didn't work for him.

Seems some Lollipop users are having problems due to Bluetooth driver issues. If I recall correctly it's already been said that S&B fixed it with a firmware update but that requires the unit serviced so it'll depend on wether your retailer stocked the updated version and a bit on luck with your android device.

The max temp is mostly for concentrates I'd say. In other case the stock temps are just fine, default is great and when boost gives quite a hit. App is a feature is just use to check the battery, a task that which can also be served by the device light so you won't miss it that much.

So how do you change the base and boost temperatures on your Crafty without the app? I know you can switch between the two without the app but changing them altogether? Can't be done IME.

I got a crafty with firmware v2.04. It wouldn't connect to Android 5.x devices (S6 Edge), but did just fine with Android 4.x devices. I sent it back to S&B for the firmware upgrade. I'm expecting to get Crafty 2.06 back, and that it will work with Android 5.x

Seems to me like you may need to remove the screen in the bowl, clean it very well, and underneath. Make sure the air intake holes are clear and nothing has got down in there. It sounds like your bowl screen is dirty. It can be clogged even though it may not look like it.
Hi t-dub,
Thanks for the reply! That makes a lot of sense actually. Can't believe I didn't think of that.
It's not a problem with the screen as I've already replaced that. But I bet your right on the money with the intake holes. How would you recommend cleaning those pesky holes?

I just asked which firmware version the unit that's on its way to me has installed.
Hopefully I'll be lucky and it's the latest version.
Please let us know how you get on once you receive yours back.

Meant "App is a feature I just use to check the battery", sorry for the typo.

You're right, what I meant is that 180 and 195 C (default temps) go great for flowers in this vape. Still a restriction not being able to change those temps without the app but something I wouldn't miss too much.

Btw @benjy337 in case you have a mac at hand there's an app for it which you can get at this same post.

@Churrucaman No Mac I'm afraid, I will wait and hope for the best. I'll report back with the outcome.

Tracking number received, my Mighty's little bro should be here tomorrow! Did some sessions with the Mighty last night only using 180 and 195 to see how it felt/tasted. I think I'll probably use 185 and 199 as my two temps for when I'm not wanting to use the phone to tweak.

Does performance get hindered if I don't change the bottom screen? I m afraid I can't put a new screen in. What tools do you guys use in removing and putting in the bottom screen?

Over time it will affect performance for sure. I just used a precision screwdriver and pried up a corner to get it out. Soaked it in ISO and got it looking decent again. Used ISO on q tips to clean bowl and then put screen back. Like new again!

Edit: used my finger to push screen back in.

Yeah I'm having a hard time removing the screen
I use a dental tool type of instrument from Skilletools called a Sharpy. Anything you can hook it with will work, like a fish hook or bent pin or something like that. You want to hook the side of the screen and pull it away from the counter bore, up, and remove. You can bend it back into shape after cleaning before you put it back in.

I got an adapter from @mike and a fc-cake on the way as well.

which glass do you guys suggest for the primary vape unit for crafty?

I'm using a Crafty with an FC-Cake and a @Ratchett SonG. Very happy with this setup. Take a look in the Cheap Glass thread for more glass suggestions.

college dorm life :D

Pretty sure you go to the same school I went to and I even think I spent a summer in that same townhouse dorm complex near "The Village".

Wish I had a Crafty back then. 15 years ago we had to cross the street to smoke doobies off residence grounds (but still on University property and the same rules applied to tobacco - gotta love BC). Once while living in an on campus townhouse for a summer my buddy and I set off the fire alarm with a doobie. He was fanning the door to try to air it out with the burning joint still in his hand when the RA came by. We got off with a warning for smoking indoors (no substance listed). Wreck Beach raves made for a fun summer out there too. :D

You whippersnappers don't know how good you have it these days with low smell vapes. :myday:

Apologies for getting sidetracked. Back to Crafty talk.

Hey Guys! Long time reader, first time poster.

Love the crafty! Have not returned to combustion since having it for a few months!

For those who are wondering whats a good battery pack, check out the xiaomi packs. I'm using the big 16000mah at the moment (AUD30) but going to get the smaller slimmer 5000mah one (AUD20). Its super slim and light and pocketable and of great quality (Xiaomi is one of the new premium chinease companies that makes good products but cheaply coz from china).

Just dropping my input for those that may be wondering. :)
