The donut atty that came with my ac also does not have a wick. It's just the donut. Also, is it not supposed to be connected to anything? If I turn the atty upside-down, the donut just falls right out. I haven't used it yet, does the wax keep it seated once used?

If the donut that fell out was gray then you've found the wick. Lol.
The wick looks like a dark gray donut and sits on top of the actual white heater donut that is attached

So the Alpha coils fit the Okeanos? I know globe coils don't fit for sure. My okeanos is a paper weight right now, with new improved coils the okeanos might make a come back. I love how the okeanos look and construction. It's solid! No issues with v2. I ran over 2 grams on it once with no clogs or leaks in a day. Wish I could use my Okeanos more. With twin coil setup this might be the ticket. Can anyone confirm alpha coil fit?

Going back a bit. It looks like the kiss ac carts fit the okeanos are confirmed. The 1701 doesn't fit though. Could you please tell me how your okeanos is a paper weight? I planned on buying one here in the next few days. I had high hopes for the okeanos upon release. Sadly I couldn't get mine to work and I ended up selling it. Now im back for round 2. Could someone please offer some okeanos feedback as of lately? I don't want end up with the same non functioning okeanos like I did last time.

My Okeanos is a paper weight simply for the LAYG layout. The white ceramic kiss take too much work to load throughout the day. For this reason i use the Hercules. I put a 1701 in my okeanos but I dislike the vapor production so I discontinued use. Nothing wrong with the okeanos v2. It's a solid leak/clog proof. I been using twin coil Ni globes on my Nibbler G. Awesome set up. Can almost compare to Hercules vapor production. I can take 10+ Strong hits with this setup before reloading. Even with the twin white ceramic wick. I imagine the AC twin coil is even better!!!! A twin coil black ceramic Ti cartridge will make my okeanos a powerhouse with less loading. Looking forward to trying this setup with my okeanos. Which reminds me, what's up with the Triton??? The AC coil will keep me happy for A long time for now lol. In order for the coils to fit the Okeanos they have to have the 601 thread.

Fredster951,
@THC SCIENTIFIC I honestly think the Okeanos should come with a single coil AC atty, now that they've hit the market. Assuming the plan isn't too abandon that technology right off the bat, anyway. They really make it into a much classier device. :2c: Also, what gauge is the wire on the new atty's? It seems a bit thicker, besides having a shitload more coils.

Received my AC today. I think They did a good job getting rid of metal scrapings. It's packaged very nicely and looks like it's worth more than its price.
From what I understand, G is going through them 1 by 1 and checking now. Kudos to him for jumping in and being 2nd pass QA.

I bought the V1 Okeanos when it first came out and could barely take two hits without it clogging up. It sat in it's box until I got the V2 upgrade, and now it's probably my main driver. You have to put a lot of wax through it before it clogs and needs cleaning. The center post (the tube that pulls the vape through the water) is now much wider and made from 2 separate pieces, which makes it much less likely to clog and much easier to clean. If you like LAYG, I think it kicks ass!

Ah, ok yes that's what fell out that explains it then I guess. So it's really just supposed to fall out like that?

My ac also came with a few metal shavings left over but I can clean that up easily enough. However, I am most irritated by the glass piece I received. There is a ring of sticky residue left on it, I tried ISO and Goof Off, helped a little bit but cant get it all off.

BK89,
Fits in mine and reads 1.02 ohms

Maybe mine simply needs some adjusting. It would not thread, but I'd love using it in the Okeanos, so I'll try messing with it tonight.

That globe base on the AC makes me wish there was something similar for the Okeanos, so the bottom chamber could have a glass option (2 thread on bases w/ glass like the top half has) so we could watch the magic happen. Ah, to dream.

Edit: yep, a little bit of manhandling and adjustments, and it is much happier now about going in. Can't wait to make the 7.4v donut the Okeanos centerpiece.

On another note, I'd been using the single coil in the Okeanos with my HVD top and stacked blue batteries, and it's perfect. I also liked the dual on it. I then moved the dual to my Persei w/ 2x AW, and that's considerably more insane of a hit. Single coil with same setup turned several hits worth of wax into one massive, messy, wasteful hit, but what a crazy hit. I will be a little more sparing with the load for single coil on the Persei in the future.
