I find magic eraser sponges in any supermarket/grocery store next to the regular kitchen sponges if that helps… :)

I am so torn between what to get first... A Grasshopper for my silent (home) and stealth (outdoors) needs or a VS1 for my silent (home) need (AKA woman sleeping...)?
Hopefully I can help you with my feedback on the station as I get familiar with it and the vapman :)

The GH is looking promising, if they can stay afloat and get orders filled. I'll probably get one myself once they are commercially available pending reports from users.

EDIT: Ok, I've had the chance to get familiar with this and really get all of the goods out of my material. A few more observations:

- This is the most convenient vape to connect to a piece and rivals my dnails for ease of use. The smallness makes it the most comfortable vape I've ever had in terms of connecting it to glass. Straight into a 14mm reducer!

- The warm up time is a little more than I initially thought, but still somewhat quicker than my Mighty now that I have my technique down. Under a minute with the torch on .05 of bubble, just over a minute with the station (at 5.5 about 4-6 cycles - I've realized this is like the torch heating technique more, in that it takes a few hits of heat to get all the material bubbling in there!)

- The clouds can rival pretty much anything I've used. It has that intense thick tangible quality in the throat that Sublimator vapor had when I get it right!

- The flavor is definitely not as good as my convection vapes (Mighty/Crafty/E-Nano/Sublimator but I prefer it to the Solo!) but these are a high benchmark! Still the flavor is improving with time, I have noticed this effect with other vapes with wooden vapor paths in the past too so I am quite comfortable with this :)

- The flavor on cbd sap was outstanding! Especially on the station! I suspect that the shatter will be even nicer still since I have some beautiful cluster bomb live resin for my meds just now. I have found generally that the station's more reliable heat levels bring better flavor as a benefit but take slightly longer to reach ideal temp than the torch.

- The torch is really easy to use though, much easier than the Lotus was! The ease of use and handling this device as well as ease of cleaning is great, easier to maintain than any vape I've owned (save for the dnail, which it is about on par with in this regard). I just torch my screens because with the vapman I know I cook all the goods out of those heads!

- I still have not attempted this vape with flowers yet! I really don't much care for them lol When I do, I will report back! Also when I finally try out that live resin absolute! I was way too medicated from bubble in my new vapman to contemplate taking it up to that level.

Glad to be on board with the Vapman as a daily driver alongside my dnail. I am sure the Mighty will continue to get use, but not as often as the vapman - this thing is very comfortable to use with not all that much learning curve for a torch vape!

The station is amazing too once you keep in mind that it will take a few cycles to heat up to temp :D

I'll have to get to videos later, work got the better of my time today and I am sleepy from all this testing of the vapman :science:

Well, after a week using the Vapman Station, I want to give a short report on my experience as a chronic pain medication user. My greatest problem is that resting positions such as sitting or laying down cause the most pain, but I still have to sleep, so getting myself comfortable enough to stay in bed can be a challenge.

This device is the solution to my need for a way to safely medicate while still in bed late at night without either waking up my spouse or waking myself up so much that I cannot fall back to sleep.

Since placing this device next to my bed, I am sleeping at least 2 hours longer each night, and am staying in bed through the night. For the first time in about six months, I've had a week in which I've had an adequate, and nearly normal amount of sleep in our regular bed with my wife. This is a huge quality of life improvement for me. As much as I had hoped for this to happen, I did not expect it to be so incredibly helpful.

Before bed, I load my three Vapman units and place them in a dish on the bedside table. When I wake up in pain, I can reach over and flip the power switch. The LED light is more than bright enough to illuminate the space on the table so I can see any items I might need. In fact, I turn the LED away from my face, as it is too bright in the complete darkness to stare directly into from 1 foot away.

When I am done with a Vapman, I place it on its side back in the dish so that I can tell by feel which ones have been vaped (my wife is a blind rehab specialist, so we are always coming up with ways to accomplish everyday tasks with limited vision).

While I understand I have an particular and uncommon use for this device, my experience is a testament to how easy and effective the Vapman Station is to operate.

Also, if the Vapman is masculine, and if it fits into the Vapman Station, then I guess we could call the station the Vapma'am?

What a testimony! You are a pioneer and I'm glad that the arrows you're taking seem to be Nerf darts. Kudos to @vapman for an elegant and workable solution! I don't have the budget for a VS1 but I'm pleased that you are benefitting!

Hey Chip,

I'm so glad that the station worked out for you so well, and I'm happy thta your wife is appreciating better night sleep as well thanks to the new silent procedure.

If the wife ain't happy, no one in the house is happy!

Has using the station made you change your lighter technique like others have reported?

Peace brother. :peace:

Dear vapman family

Thanks for all the compliments and appreciation about the vapman station!
Launching the station was a very special and exciting moment for me, I wasn`t really sure how it will be received by the experienced members on this forum. I also want to apologize for not having a proper manual for the station yet. It was important to me to get these first stations out in time and not letting you wait for any longer. Reading your comments made me also realize that the manual is not clear enough, I did already change a few things, like explaining that it takes a few rounds for the station to reach the desired temperature. There was also a mistake, the station will not shut off automatically after using it for five minutes. This is of course a compleat nonsense, it shuts off after NOT using it for more than 5 minutes. Further I added some temperature figures to give the user an idea what the scale from 1 to 6 roughly means.
What I am most amazed about is the fact, that medical patients like @ChippyMalone (soon you will not only be vaping under a maple tree, you will also inhale from a maple tree:lol:) are finding the station practical for themselves. Ten years ago, I never expected that one day, medical patients will be using vapman to fullfill their needs. To me, vapman was always the sporty type of vaporizer for people on the go. It looks like the station changed a lot in this regard and made vapman a vaporizer for all kinds of people.
The same thing happened with the launch of the concentrate screen. Till then I was telling everyone that vapman is exclusively for flowers and that I am not responsible for any problems when using concentrates. Now we know that vapman is good with concentrates as well, kind regards to @NorVape in that sense. I could now boast and say that this was part of my plan but it wasn`t, it was purely faith, luck and time which did the trick. Time changes everything!;)

Love,

vapman

Has using the station made you change your lighter technique like others have reported?

Peace brother. :peace:

@M0J0 yes, it has made me much more conservative with the torch.

I used to start with an initial long blast with the torch (8+ seconds) to get up to temperature quickly. But the station takes several hits to get to the same point. I find myself tasting flavors at the beginning of the cycle that I normally miss with excessive initial torch use, and feel that these initial light hits enhance the therapeutic effect of the cannabinoids.

I'm convinced that some of the most volatile organic molecules (terpenes, etc.) are mostly extracted right at the beginning, and if there is a synergistic effect between these molecules and activated cannabinoids, I want to make sure I do not miss out on that.

Because I can compare lab tested cannabis here in Washington state, I've been really trying to pay attention to the published terpene profiles to determine if i can perceive differences between similar potency strains. While this is very subjective, I do feel that such effects are more noticeable with the consistent and gentle heating profile provided by the station or gentle torch use.

So, in short, I now keep my torch set at a medium size flame and use many short 4 second bursts.

My wife joked this week that she's never seen someone take so long to not even smoke a tiny amount of cannabis. But she's very happy that, despite increased pain, I'm managing my sleep routine much better with the station as well as some other modifications to my pain management (roll on topical CBD gel and turmeric supplements).

I'm a clever guy and could certainly make other devices perform for me similarly, but for my specific needs, I can think of no more effective or simple nighttime medicating system than my Vapman Station combined with three pre-loaded Vapman devices.

Again, thank you @vapman for helping me so much with this device that fits my lifestyle and medical needs so well. I'm also excited to see how the Cascadian Maple units turn out.

Well I'm super bummed about my heart station..I had the craziest thing happen with mine and am waiting for a email back from rene..I turned my vapman station on and went to grab my supplies from garage and I came back and it had been 2 minutes or so and it was still red light which in the two times I used so far it was orange with 30 seconds or so..I was Lil worried and looked down inside and underneath the post where vapman. Sits the whole pole was glowing orange and I turned off and back on and it was still red light I went to set vapman on top and the whole post was melted..I mean the metal post where vapman sits was melted..and smelling..it worries me because it seems as though the temp kept climbing with no shutoff..almost like it wasn't regulated..I'm very worried about it now..I'm hoping rene has an answer and a fix..

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
Sorry to hear that @subway13029 that sucks. Mine is acting up a little now too, started last night.

I have noticed mine now sometimes cycles longer then 'normal' yellow light blinking the four slower blinks then 7-8 faster flashes after which it usualy turns green but once in a while instead of turning green it quickly flahes the red light and starts the heating cycle all over again and now sometimes it will show the Blue light after you place the VM on the station after the light is yellow for both problems I have to turn off the station and start again and then it runs fine.

Hubby took a "needle file", very small, with fine teeth, to the points on the VS heater, and in just a minute knocked off - very slowly, very carefully - the pointy tips. Now, the Classic VM glides on with not even a hint of hanging up. In fact, he had taken off "the first layer", and was planning to do more, but it was enough. So, it takes hardly any filing, but just the removal of that sharp point, to smooth out the insertion...

no more "hey, when did it turn square?"

Here, I'll post a photo:

Interesting (and pretty spooky). While some very soft alloys will melt at lower temperatures, most are over 600C by a fair bit. 3 times the normal temperature. That means, in broad terms, nine time the heat (in calories)??? I'm amazed it can get there on 50 Watts.

I agree, it sounds like a complete failure of the regulator, it got 'blind' and ran full blast. Replacing the top part (above the SS heater cartridge) should be simple enough (I've had mine out), but until the runaway heating is sorted out that seems like a bad idea.

I've had mine give me blue lights on heatup, and while it warmed some didn't function normally. Only a couple times now, so I'm paying close attention rather than clicking it on and messing with other stuff, but not a run away. Depending on the failure it might cut off at 5 minutes, but that alone might be too long. Dripping melted Aluminum onto that lovely wood floor plate will ruin the finish......

Thanks for t he heads up.

Yeah the first time I used it I put my vapman on and it turned blue instantly.and it was orange and ready to go. Well I turned it off and back on and had no prkblem.and today I was able to use it as it's a little harder when the family is all home and I had the fateful accident. I believe the outcome of this situation is gonna be a bummer to all who have the heat station and I am very disturbed by this revwlation. I hope everyone does understand.

I received an email from Vapman stating that I "immediately" need to ship my station back to them (at their expense) for a full refund because the "worst case scenario" has happened. I'm mortified because I only got two days with my station before I went out of town and now I return to this email.

I commend them for taking this thing so seriously, they seem eager to get these out of consumers hands - that and the obvious remorse in the email says a lot about the company. I suppose I'll just have to impatiently look forward to the opportunity to own another heating station.

Yeah its all your fault @subway13029 :goon::p

At this point we have no idea what caused the malfunction, but I really doubt its something that you personally did.

I don't know if I wouldn't have purchased a Vapman right now if it weren't for the heating station. Regardless of what happens with the station I have no regrets about my purchase, the Vapman really found its place in my life this week. I think I can make due with a torch lighter like everyone else has for the past years. I can only speak for myself, but this mishap hasn't created any ill will towards the company, much less the first person to experience the problem.

killick

But I like it!
Man - and it got such great reviews, too! Outside of the unfortunate news about the station, @vapman is to be commended for the impeccable way in which this is being handled! This is a great vape, made even better by the people who made it. And the supporters are fairly fanatical, as well, which is rare for something without batteries and blinky/flashy lighting.

Oh no, so sad. It's like the station was too good to be true. I'm sitting here enjoying the first load since last weekend and read these sad news. Mine works still fine......But in some way I'm thinking more about Rene's feelings, because I feel how much love he put to his work. Cheer up! I will start a last session with mine before sending it back tomorrow. And believe it will not be the last time...
