Interesting. Do you think this would work well with the pinnacle water tool? Thanks for posting that

I only did it a few times, but IMO it worked just fine. No complaints. I think there's a 18mm version (?), perhaps I'm thinking of F-Bomb, that would not work, it's a 14mm size connection.

Maybe I should just get the f bomb 18 mm at this point. Just don't see the need to spend another $25 or so on the 14mm gong and don't care to monkey something up that is just good enough to make it work when the 18mm is available for sale. Want a water tool to bring around to parties, the d020 setup I roll with (claisen on top) is too big lol. But damn I love that d020, I do not doubt for a second that it puts that f bomb to shame but everything has a use and purpose.

I was able to get the Pinnacle wt to work with my Solo but prefer a bubbler. The Do20 works well with my Solo but not with my Nano. @ataxian suggested another bubbler for the nano. Hey @ataxian troubles with the nano? You're my go to glass guy.

Edit
The Pinncle water tool takes the 14mm GonG. The F-Bomb comes in both 14mm and 18mm sizes.
I like the D022 the most for the NANO!
D020 for the SOLO!

I smoked joints and never learned how to hit a bong?
The PNWT is like a bong!

I loved my Nano however 4 years of use its kind of dead!
I hope to fix it this week?

My SOLO is my driver currently!

I personally have not tried the PonG stem with the pinnacle water tool and Solo. I think some others have used the PonG stem with the Arizer Air + PWT and had some success.
It fits looser in the SOLO so it might even be better because those pockets of air you let in by wiggling the stem can cause some very nice vapor. I think for the price its nice as you can still use it as a stem to hit dry with the Solo.

The PWT isn't like a bong it hardly takes any water & only adds just a little diffusion. IMO it's a bit of a novelty but it is fun & can be nice on the Solo. Works well with slow draws & that's what the Solo likes. The old ones were pretty tough too, I've dropped mine a couple of times & it survived.

I love my Solo(s) so I recently purchased a "VaporBlunt " water tool copy from Sunshine Store. I've tried it a few times now but I just do not feel it improves the experience any, in fact, it ruins the experience for me.

I'm not sure if the cheap china glass is the issue or just the VaporBlunt. Do any of you use the VaporBlunt ,real or copy, on a regular basis and enjoy it? Thanks

When I reference the bong I mean the mouthpiece.
A gaping hole is not my cup of tea.
If you like it good for you.

A small bubbler works better for me and my medical needs!

I use them from time to time, largely for a 'change of pace'. I obviously enjoy it enough to do it again. It's not for everyone, for sure. Kind of a 'neither fish nor foul' thing to me. Different from 'barefoot', but not at the same level as 'a real bubbler'. Some are more sold on them than me for sure.

I also have an original PNWT, and an F-Bomb from when they first came out. Lately I've tried Chinese copies from DHGate. IMO they're all basically the same, no useful performance difference. FWIW I kind of like the copies since I'm not big on splashy brand names on stuff I own......I feel no need to advertise for the maker....

I guess I'm kinda like Ataxian (yeah, it's creeping me out too.....), as an old school pipe guy smaller MPs are more my style.

After fixxing my Solo twice and getting some parts from Puff it Up (Thanks Again!),,,,, it worked fine for about 2 weeks then quit again...

So I contacted Arizer and I realized it was still 2 weeks before the 2 year warranty was up.. So I sent it in and 10 days later I now have a new one..

I'm glad they didn't ask why my old Solo had new parts in it.. Or gave me any crap about trying to fix it myself...

Fuck. I'm a couple weeks over my warranty. Did the oxidation under the oven come back? Or did your Solo have other issues besides that?

Mine's still going since the fix. Fingers crossed.

I have been using a new technique with my Solo.

What I do is this:
Turn solo on to 2
as soon as it hits 2 take a pull
take 2 pulls on 2
start pulling and put up to 3 while pulling
drop back down to 2 when finished
turn back up to 3 while pulling
drop down to 2 when not pulling
start pulling and bump up to 4
drop down to 2

again, up to 5 & 6. I have been getting close to 3 sessions from a single stem with incredible vapor. In the past I had tried putting my solo on 7 and then take a pull, take out stem, repeat, but I could barely get any taste or vapor. I think keeping the stem in the vape at 2 helps keep the flavor intact, and adding a temp boost might aid in convection?

I don't know, but I do like it.

edit: does that make sense? Keep at low temp when not hitting and keep bumping up the temp while hitting it over time.

I'm bidding farewell to my solo soon, I wanted opinions from actual solo users on what is a good, if not better, replacement. The solo was great when I used it the handful of times but it just seemed like it didn't hit "hard" enough.

Also, how do y'all feel about the lotus vaporizer?

The SOLO is the best easiest to use!
I have a LOTUS and it hits harder and doesn't have the automation however I do like it.
The VAP MAN is another option.

You better save the SOLO for when you need it!

Your most likely a recreational user?

I don't want to have to sell it but I just can't stand having to draw so long and waiting to take the next hit. I do love the automation, the ease of use, and the temp control though.

Idk, I might keep it and just get something else. Any opinions on the crafty?

Opinions on the "Vaporblunt" water tool bubbler attachment for he Solo:
It's very meh.
I Hardly ever use it on my Solo. It just sits there, especially as of recently.
I do however, use it on my wax pens. They work nicely with those :) Good vapor, smoother than without.

As for the Solo not hitting hard enough ..... :uhh:
This thing destroys, dude... I've gotten massive clouds and a long ass sesh off so little. Especially at level 7

Just recently, tonight actually, i started putting my Solo at 2, vaping til it turns off, then mixing the bowl up, then putting it at 3 and then 4 til out.
Wow, i never really bothered to put the Solo at 2, but even level 2 puts in work! So much taste! The bowl lasts much longer too. Purple Mr. Nice inspied me to try at 2 today and well... damn, i'm sold. and stoned. On the Skywalker bowl now and well.. :rip:

hits at 2 are great with about 90% of all strains from what I have encountered. In my opinion immediately going up to 3-4 seems I lose some tastes - I got some lemon larry last week and this weekend went right up to 4 or 5 since it was me and a buddy in the park trying to vape quick, and we lost a whole bunch of the lemon taste. Maybe 1/10 of all strains I get I actually prefer to start at either 3 or 4 with them.

What's your budget? Do you need a new portable or a desktop?

I usually start at 5 and might push it up to 6 near the end of the 10 mins (or is it 12).

That's because I'm often looking for a slap in the face kinda hit. As compensation for the lack of oxygen deprivation many of us ex-smokers enjoyed so much. 'Specially at night-time.

During the day I might do a 4 and move that up to a 5. But I don't vape that often during the day. Recreational user here.

To be honest I don't think it ever really was oxidation between the heater and the oven... Something was kind of there but I didn't clean much off just shined it up a bit.. Now looking back I don't know why it started working again after I took it apart, or why it stopped again..

It did work for a while but then quickly went blinking blue light of death......

I agree with you, I still think it's furnace cement. That's the typical material used for such things and while I didn't strip mine down that far, furnace cement is what I found on the outside of mine where the leads come out.

OF

My 2 year old Solo had the 2 wire going into the furnace cement... Then I ruin that by knocking those thin wire loose from the furnace cement, and it never worked again..

Then PIU sent me parts that were of the newer Solo that can heat and charge.. It did not have furnace cement like the first.. On that model the two small wire that used to go to the furnace cement now went to the heater pad under the oven.. The heater pads were ez to remove with only one screw holding them.. and the two wire were firmly attached..

newer model with all 4 wires going to heater

Edit- now that I see my pic again I think that white stuff on the oven is just more furnace material used to bond the heater to the oven.. See how it looks like it was squirted on then pushed together... probly when this bond breaks you have problems..

Yeah I was very sceptical myself, at first. I had taken it apart before for cleaning and attempts to fix it. Like 10 times. Always very careful and thorough. Doublechecked everywhere but underneath the oven.

When I went in again and saw the "oxidation", I too thought "this isn't gonna do it" and "it looks like it was intently put there".

Until I cleaned it off. It's been humming like new ever since.

None of the other attempts gave me so much as a peep (unless part of a lightshow :-); Cleaning the white stuff is all I did this time.

I'm thinking that yes, it's some kind of cement that's intently put there, but! It seemed to have reacted/deteriorated to the constant heat (or fluctuations thereof). I found it to be rather coarse during cleaning. Like it crystalized or something, which impeded proper contact between the surfaces and thus the transference of heat between it and the sensor or oven.

EDIT: I would also like to add that I had to exert some force to separate the oven from the white plate underneath.
